Don't think there's eMule, but there's some others. Haven't tried them though. Apple upgrades are a stoopid price. When I got my mac mini, upgrading from the standard 256Mb to 512Mb would be 58 quid AND the apple dealer has to do it AND they keep the old stick of memory!!! You can buy 512Mb for 25 quid, so I'm gonna do that.
  3. have a great time col! and don't forget the sunscreen - you wouldn't want to come back orange

Yep, I bought a mac mini a couple of weeks ago and its fantastic! I'd never used a mac before and i'm very impressed with Mac OS X. Mind you, I did set it up to dual-boot with debian linux the day after buying it I think it would make a good substitute for a Windows machine, provided you can get all the applications you need for the mac and don't play games much. http://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/~jamesg/albums/misc2/IMG_4547.sized.jpg

Fantastic program. Downloaded it a week ago but only discovered tonight you can tilt the view instead of looking at it straight-down. I think I found my supra as well!!! http://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/~jamesg/misc/supeatwork.jpg

lol yeah, that'll look fantastic when you get some tyres on it
  9. Thanks very much everyone. That really cleared things up. I wasn't sure if I'd missed something - now I know they stitch you up! I plan to sell more stuff in the future so I'm going to upgrade and put up with the extra fees. The Paypal email definitely said I was entitled to refuse the payment, but I think that would be horribly messy considering the payment must already have been authorised by the credit card company and the buyer now assumes he has paid.
  10. I'm quite new to ebay and I've just sold something on it. Only problem is that the buyer has sent the payment via credit card (i selected Paypal only but i think Paypal supports this). This would be okay, but the email from Paypal says that I cannot accept payment as my account is a "Personal" one and that I need to upgrade to "Premier/Business". If I do this, all payments into my account will be charged in future (1.9% - 3.4%). The Personal one is free to accept payments. I'm not really sure what to do now. I could tell the buyer to choose another method of payment, but this would probably piss him off. If I accept it and change to a Premier/Business account, this transaction will cost me an extra fiver in fees and I won't be able to receive money for free any more. Advice greatly appreciated. James.
  11. Phone Sky Insurance (The official club insurer!). http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=34032 They gave me the best quote and I was also able to agree a value for my car in the event of a total loss (was 35 quid extra).
  12. Last one is Contra Spirits. I love that game!
  13. Well it obviously worked since you searched for "supra", found his car and then advertised it for him
  14. no, i mean the actual years are different. just found this page about it: http://www.answers.com/topic/japanese-era-name
  15. I think there might have been a post about this before. The japanese use a different date system to us westerners.

  17. I went down to Whifbitz a couple of times earlier this year and was very happy with the work done. Will certainly go back there for services. What do you want doing though? If it's just an exhaust, you can get that fitted anywhere!
  18. If your car doesn't fit...make space! My mum had this parking space built so we all had space to park our cars! http://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/~jamesg/albums/chrispics/IMG_2176.sized.jpg http://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/~jamesg/albums/chrispics/122_2201_IMG.sized.jpg http://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/~jamesg/albums/chrispics/123_2366_IMG.sized.jpg
  19. Rather than being told figures that are too high, it's best to start low and increase the gain and ratio gradually. There's a good page explaining how to do it here: http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Speedway/9589/dsbc_manual.html
  20. Don't know if anyone else finds this, but it really pisses me off when you're waiting at a zebra crossing as a pedestrian and cars don't stop for you. Well this morning I was at one and the car on my side of the road stopped to let me cross. When I got halfway across it was obvious the car on the other side of the road either hadn't seen me or was ignoring me, despite me being in full view. So I decided to brake-test him....I waited til he was a bit closer, then stamped my foot as if I was about to run out. The dozy old bloke saw me at the last minute, slammed on his brakes and skidded to a stop. He then apologised to me. I probably shouldn't have done this, but it felt very good
  21. It's actually an entry in a competition: http://showdown.contagiousmedia.org/ The idea is to get as many visitors as possible by the site being spread by word-of-mouth (or the internet equivalent). You're doing a fine job
  22. Older CD players often don't play CD-RWs. Try copying onto CD-Rs.
