  1. If it ain't broke. Break it then fix it
  2. Why. Does the colour of the spring give you more hp?
  3. Ah great ill add the Facebook thingumy. Was going to pop down last time but had a long day at work and wanted to just vegetate on the sofa
  4. this car has had the od light issue since i baught it. i nor 3 seperate garages iv asked have figured out what the issue was. iv been told speedo converter. but it doesnt have one as its a uk car. iv also been told abs error. but the abs seems to work. The only thing iv noticed is that when its on the cruise control doesnt seem to work. iv checked error codes and things but nothing seems to be covered in the manuals. so i put it down to a problem with the cruise, which inever use anyway so it didnt bother me.
  5. the windscreen washers arent working? are you sure. it wouldnt have passed the mot without them. and i know i used them on the way to the train station
  6. Should be yes. Just unplug the active spoiler if you still have it
  7. I've been to a meet at gaydon. Lots of car parking space. And they gave us a discount off the meuseum too. I don't see why topgear would be interested at all :/ all they do is piss about in cars. Maybe the magazine or online. But not the tv.
  8. Yeah the cam covers always leak. Mine have leaked down the back of the block and into the bellhousing giving me a scare something was more seriously wrong. But after a bit of investigation it was just the cam cover seals. Don't over tighten them though. They are low torque for a reason. You can easily crack the cam covers.
  9. There are a lot of smaller things but I can't remember specifics. Stuff like extra bits in the engine bay, diff coolers and stuff. Extra fuses and ecu etc is different. Different injectors, seats. Bumpers, headlights, bonnet. But as far as servicing items. I think they are the same as long as you get the correct pads
  10. 1. Ellis 2.TheTurtlesHead 3. Josh42 4. Steve Paine 5. Guigsy
  11. Ill definately be there. Looks great. As do the posters on that site. Can't wait to see a supra one!
  12. Oh and check out Santa pods website. They have a good section for newbies with FAQ and guides. Might be on http://www.rwyb.co.uk
  13. If its your first time you don't need to waste time and money on radials, dampers, springs, line lock or launch control. The fact he is a newbie at it means your technique is going to be all over the place anyway. get to a point your putting down consistant times on your normal setup before tou change anything. Just get out there, do lots of runs and experiment.
  14. Iv driven a vette and bpu supra. Both auto both arround the 400 bhp mark. I forget what size engine the vette had. 5.something I guess. But the difference in acceleration was distinct. The vette blew me away. Off the line with a slight poke of the accelerator snapped your neck back. The supra didnt do that. But is guess they are not that different speed wise
  15. I just cut the jap one to fit
  16. Best version iv seen was the number plate mounted on a very loose door hinge. Then the air resistance pushed it back automatically. Cheep and effective.
  17. I've never realy had problem with them. Always give me a better quote after a bit of shopping arround. If they can't match exactly they get close enough. Usualy within 50 quid. I have all 3 cars with them ATM. Don't have problems with speaking to anyone either.
  18. the cheeper insurance thing is a myth. more places will insure you on an unmodified car. or should i say will give you a quote. But somewhere that will probably give you a better price like sky, or adrian flux know the cars are exactly the same in terms of risk. i went from £1200 after my accident in my uk spec. to £1400 on a jspec single turbo. go compare want £9999 to insure my uk spec with bpu mods.
  19. Everyone suggesting Juergen is very correct... But he doesn't do uk cars...
  20. Bump the thread Wednesday and if I remember ill be along. My memory is shocking
  21. They are the same as your current ones but with an extra spoke. Not much photoshopping needs doing
  22. i had t1r's and they lasted ages :S
  23. Iv got porterfields from whifbitz. Would recommend and will buy again. Also since I had all the brake lines replaced on my uk spec it has made a massive difference in peddle feel compared to just changing discs/pads. Not just braided lines, the whole lot, under the car and in the bay.
