  1. Like the Defi display. Do you have any more details on it? I take it you can download logs onto an SD card or similar? Are you going to change out the fixed drivers seat for a matching pair of recaros?
  2. They have a bad reputation, which stemmed from this article: http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/1/hks.jpg Which must be 15+ years old now, HKS also released the triple-layer filter after this but as far as I'm aware they never did a similar test with it. As with a lot of things, it got exaggerated over time but still people treat it as "fact".
  3. I'd be very weary of buying that one off eBay, there are lots of imitation parts out there.(being on of the more simpler parts to copy helps as well) Look how Mark's two both have the TRD logo with a point at the bottom and the eBay one has the TRD logo in-line with a flat side of the cap. TRD are very particular about things like this and I'm pretty sure all there original caps are lined up exactly the same way.
  4. They all came with A/C as standard.
  5. This. What's the point if you can't drive it hard, drag race, track it, drift it etc I wouldn't want to have a car where I would be worried about the gear box lasting each time I drive it. The other think to mention is people's definitions of being driven hard. I get the feeling some who drive it "hard" would consider others(probably including myself) to be damn right abusive when driving a car hard. It's all relative to what you are used too.
  6. Epic driving of that supra in the first video, haven't seen that one before. I love what the Scandinavians do with the supra. Liked the Top Gear-esq description of the guy in the first video: "Some say that his racingsuite constantly needs re-fitting due to his evergrowing, enormous testicles, and that he allways sleeps sideways. All we know is, that he's called Kenneth Moen!"
  7. Gutted for you Craig, horrible to hear of things like this happening. I take it the old beast was still running well other than this fresh metal work?
  8. Yes they did, so I hope you put it back after you were done. The workers who assembled the car put it in there to bring the owner good luck. Engine bay is looking good.
  9. Nice live wallpaper, I'm still loving "Video Live Wallpaper" as mentioned earlier in the thread. Bored of the current video, just select a different video or movie to play. Some people are amazed when they realise it's a whole film that is playing in the background on the phone.
  10. OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer. ie, the standard stuff that comes with the car.
  11. Do you have a wheel figure? Also it would be helpful if you could post up a picture of the graph, there are several people on here who can decipher them very well.
  12. Nothing particularly, I'd personally just check all facelift 5 speeds. As you say, the VIN will tell all. It does look like a lovely example, all the shut lines are perfect, engine bay is clean(but crucially, not too clean), no cheap body kits, interior is excellent, even the door shuts are clean and the bit on the door where everyone catches it with their shoes is spotless. Would definitely be worth a viewing if you were in the market for a N/A manual.
  13. Fitment of the front bumper isn't great, but seen worse. Personally I'd be looking to at least get an N/A manual, as auto's are always considered the least desirable of Supras. I'd also consider 3k to be the very top end for an N/A auto. How about either of these: 1. N/A aero for the same price, http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/toyota/supra/toyota-supra-aerotop-targa-3-0i/1042789 2. Very nice N/A, http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/toyota/supra/toyota-supra-3-0-na-manual-1996-low-mileage/1140674 Only thing I'd question about the second one, is it *may* have been a 6-speed previously. Could just as easily not have been, but it would be worth checking.

    Oem recaros

http://www.capitalseating.co.uk/productlist.asp?type=s&view=range&rid=61&mid=2 These guys seem to do side covers for the Integra Recaros, as well as parts for the Recaro Speed seats that you get in the Supra. So could be worth getting in contact with them about covers for the Speeds.

    Auto or manual

    Auto or manual

Nope, if I edited the post it would say so at the bottom of the post. Also the link to the search results was for the benefit of the OP. I honestly believe the search on here is a huge asset to this site, if you have you ever tried searching for something on Pistonheads forums you will know exactly what I mean. There is even a sticky thread in the new members section explaining how to use the search effectively, I'm sure it's ignored by most new members, but what more can the mods do to get people to use it? OP, bought a manual yet?

    Auto or manual

Firstly, nice off topic post that wasn't what the OP asked for. http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/search.php?searchid=2603720 Here you go, search results for "manual" and "auto" within supra chat. The search on here is fantastic, the parameters you can search within is vast. And rarely will you not find an answer to supra related question you are after, unless it has a useless thread title. I was very informative in my post and told the OP to get a manual. Ask yourself this: would you have picked a tiptronic(which is just an auto with the "manual" operation moved to buttons on the steering wheel rather than moving the auto shifter, and you still can't properly de-restrict it) over a manual version of your car if everything else was the same, including the price. I don't know anyone who honestly would. I appreciate it's hard for people to admit this, as their cars are their pride and joy. Put it this way, I currently have an auto TT and would definitely rather have a manual. I also feel I'm appropriately experienced to comment on such a thread having owned both manual(5 speed & 6 speed) and auto boxes.

    Auto or manual

Well I'm glad this topic has finally come up, as it's never been discussed before. If only there was some way to search for such threads! Owned all three boxes, and the manuals are well matched to their respective engines. Get a manual if you want to preserve the future value of your car. It will take a long time to shift an N/A auto, without being very cheap. OP, would you even be proposing this question if the manual and auto were the same price?
  19. http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?284723-*1994-Toyota-Supra-TT-Auto-Leather-LSD-Low-Miles-Silver* Doesn't look like a dealer to me. Remember kids, don't drink and post.
  20. I'm sure he'll be fine: All the best with the build, not many TT6 aero's about.
  21. Try reading the text in the box. Pretending like you've never been in there in all these years.
  22. Makes perfect sense now. I was reading too much into it and thought you were running without one. Strange looking belt, have you checked the belt tensioner?
