  1. Do you mean because it uses a 3S-GTE instead of a 2JZ-GTE? Or because of the extensive chassis & body modifications? If it's not a Supra, what model of car is it?
  2. Why would you want to do that? It would cost you a fortune. I can see how it would be funny doing it to someone else's though. - - - Updated - - - Better than being a group w@nker.
  3. Yup also confirmed by someone on another forum. I also heard that one of the developers had his bank account reduced by $100 as the rest of the development team were having daily meetings in his office with the Kinect on. Keep your wits about you people. However it has been discovered that if you turn the Kinect upside down it then can't recognise facial features in the normal way and you don't get charged. This was discovered by someone watching a film on the Xbox One whilst upside down. Top tip there.
  4. This is incorrect, MS confirmed(back in August, I may add) that the kinect will no longer be required to be connected all the time. And as for getting charged "an extra licence", seriously? Might be worth doing some research and acquainting yourself with some facts regarding the Xbox One. Rather than just spouting old inaccurate information. The particular story you are relating to refers to one patent that MS applied for which could be used for a similar purpose. This was only one of hundreds of patents that MS applies for every month, it just so happens that someone thought this particular one was worth highlighting as it had the most potential for controversy (and therefore page hits). There never was anything to say that this patent or any other for that matter would ever be implemented on the new Xbox. Strange how nowhere near as much noise was made about them also filing for a patent for VR glasses for the new Xbox or the groundbreaking possibilities for kinect or Xbox glass. Not a dig at anyone, but we have more information than we could ever take in. Giving us all the ability to research and make up our own minds on not just this subject, but pretty much every subject. Yet more often than not, Chinese whispers through the internet end up becoming "fact" and taken as gospel.
  5. I'll raise you this NA Auto for £4.5k! http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/toyota-supra-na-auto/1035983092#photo-content I realise it has been posted before when it was for sale previously, but feel it's appropriate here.
  6. Needs more TV screens before I'd be interested. :-)
  7. looks like a very clean/straight example. Only changes I can see from stock is the sun sport grill and the (correct me if I'm wrong) miss-matched leather. Looks to have black leather fronts and cream leather rear? I'd personally keep everything as stock as possible on a clean UK spec. If you do change anything then make sure you keep the OEM parts to put it back to stock when you come to sell it. In 5+ years time, examples of UK models will be very thin on the ground(even more so than now) and a car like this should hold it's value very well.
  8. Looks like a GZ to me, so not exactly the "base model". Cruise control, active spoiler & leather were standard on the GZ. An RZ would have to have these spec'd when new. The four pot brakes were always an option on pre-facelift cars. As mentioned the blue smoke will be VSS. Looks to be in good condition throughout and has very nice wheels.
  9. That may give you back of fag packet estimations but there are far more variables involved to get a closer estimate. Using those calculations a standard supra should have 198bhp (3x11x6). Which is significantly more than 5% out. Similarly a T88 running 1.6Bar would produce 417.6bhp (3x23.2x6) using these figures.
  10. This. Also: FWIW the later xbox 360's were very quiet, compared to the early ones which were very loud. My current late model one is so quiet, it's only the light that gives away it's on.
  11. Rear mount turbos. You see a similar set up on tuned Porsches, with the turbos sticking down at the back. Great if you live in a dry country.
  12. I'm willing to put money on it, that you have "issue" two, it's a feature that all tiptronics have once delimited. Unless your car is still limited, in which case it won't go past 112.
  13. Well an indicated 140 is probably less than 135 actual speed. Speed in each gear for the auto box can be found here: http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?35922-Autobox-gearbox-ratios&highlight=gear+speeds As I thought the top speed in third on a TT Auto box is 135.697mph. What you might find is that if you kept accelerating it wouldn't get any faster without lifting off the throttle and letting it change up into fourth then applying more throttle but not WOT. I searched and read for hours on this subject when I was considering an tiptronic and as far as I can tell there's no way around it. Basically all the tiptronic delimiters do is trick the gearbox into thinking the car is doing less than 120ish at any time hence the danger in kicking down at over 135 as the gear box thinks its doing less than 120.
  14. Are you 100% on this? If you keep accelerating (WOT) to the top of third, does it change up to fourth without backing off? Think(not sure) around 135 would be the top of third. If that is the case you have the only tiptronic I've heard of that works that way and you must have some sort of after market or modified gearbox ECU or a clever delimiter. Would be worth finding out what you have as I'm sure every tiptronic owner would buy one. Even if just for the safety aspect of not risking damage to the engine or auto box.
  15. Not a huge amount of help, but issue two is the same for all delimited tiptronics. Just make sure not to suddenly hit WOT at 150+ or it'll change down into third. As far as I'm aware nobody has managed to get around it yet, I also don't think anyone is working on it. As for the other two issues have you changed the gearbox oil and filter recently? Also make sure it's topped up to at least the full level.
  16. Yup, you could buy kits which had a "legal" setting of red light to the rear, white to the front and amber at the sides. Sure it would look equally awful.
  17. Do you think going from manual to auto had anything to do with it? I found I had more enjoyment out of my two NA manuals than I did in my TT auto.
  18. It's MSB for starters. It's had a bump previously, and clearly a crap repair/paint job done. No proof of mileage, no under bonnet pictures, no straight on shot to show if everything lines up and some of the paint/lacquer is flaking off. Doesn't sound like a well cared for example to me. No mention of any of the usual supra problems being sorted, which for an almost 20 year old car will certainly need done. Personally I think it's over priced. People are being blinded by an apparently "desirable" colour.
  19. The problem is that you only have two years no claims, what did you do for the previous five years? This is assuming you passed when you were seventeen.
  20. Yes, but the point is you are paying Apple and not Holby. He isn't looking to make money out of this but Apple are.
  21. That's a shame that you'll have to charge for it on iPhones, but I suppose Apple need a bite of EVERYONE'S pie. Thanks very much(again) for the free android app though, it's great that an enthusiast can put something like this together for the benefit of all supra owners.

    Altenator

Couple of options on eBay that'll save you around £100. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SB135-TOYOTA-Supra-3-0i-Turbo-24V-93-97-Alternator-/370811205118?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item565611f5fe http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-GS300-TOYOTA-SUPRA-3-0-ALTERNATOR-A1923-/190893548133?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Cars+Year%3A1993%7CModel%3ASupra&hash=item2c72246265 Don't worry about them stating they are for the TT supra, the differences are minimal.
  23. If it's straight enough underneath, then I'd put a offer in for it. It'd be a three figure offer though to take into account any potential work that would need done. And even then, I'd only be interested if it was a manual. Wouldn't bother with an auto in that condition.
