    Hit & left

That dont work either. I was at Tesco's about a month back around 8pm when the carpark is very empty. Despite that, I parked on the other side of the carpark where no other cars were parked. went into the store, was gone 10 minutes and when I got back to my car the front bumper & wing had been scraped down to the metal. No car anywhere in sight tho. Just amazes me that it could be hit in such a wide open space with no other car in site. [sHOCK][/sHOCK]
  2. I was hoping to get some very cheap help.., money a bit tight and all that. What would we be talking ryan to set this up???? Carl
  3. I have had my Blitz Boost controller, SBC-ID in the car for some time now. I want to finish of plumbing it in under the bonnet and set the controller up. I was wondering if there is anyone local near Gloucestershire that has one of these already fitted and could help fit & set it up for me. Carl
  4. I sympathise, There are two things on the road that really infuriate me and thats people on there mobile phones and people that dont indicate. Despite all the hands free available the problem seems to be getting worse, too many ignorant people...
  5. Well I tried the diagnostic test but struggled to get any sense there. I guess I was doing something wrong as it flashed ok but never stopped. Anyway, I decided to go down to Halfords & buy one of these aircon ragas bottles with gauge. It says that your aircon pressure should read 25psi+. I stuck the gauge on the Low pressure valve started the engine & run the aircon on full. I had virtually no reading at all on the gauge. It seems to have been almost empty. Anyway, I have re-pressurised it up to around 30psi and the aircon seems to be ok now. Got a handy gauge to check it in future to. As a matter of interest, when my aircon is on, the compressor seems to turn on & off quite regularly. The revs climb & fall accordingly. Is this normal? It’s always done it but never having heard another aircon on a Supra I didn't know.
  6. Right, just checked, no bubbles when aircon is off, lots of bubbles when i turn aircon on with the usual increase in revs to about 900rpm. So what does this normally mean? carl
  7. Not sure whats up. If I hit the aircon button it lights up and I can feel the revs rise as if the compressor has kicked in as it usually does. Problem is, im not getting any ice cold air, just seems to be ambient temp coming in, the same as having aircon off and heater control to cold. Is there anything I can check before taking it to an aircon specialist. I did use the search function but cannot seem to find the answer to my problem. Help appreciated
  8. Good pictures Dat Inter. i have seen some of yours before and its amazing what the Canons can produce with a good eye behind the lense. Hopefully the 40D should give even more scope. quite looking forward to my new camera now.
  9. Cheers for the info.. Looks like it will more than do the job for me. I am buying the body initially but will save for a good lense next. As a tempory fix I will probably use the stock 450D 18-55 lense.
  10. I am going to buy a new Canon SLR Camera. I will be taking pictures of some fast moving cars etc plus I do a lot of scenery and portrait type pictures. I was offered both a 400D and a 40D from friends of mine that are selling these two cameras. I am likely to go for the 40D as this is meant to be the better camera although I have no idea what mmakes it a better camera. Can anyone clarify what makes the 40D better over the 400d?
  11. I wouldn't pay that much Insurance unless I was extremely wealthy. Are you extremely wealthy? If not, I'd stick to the Punto for another few years untill running cost become more realistic.
  12. I must say I have never read the novel or even heard of Watchmen untill it came to the cinema. Now you mention it, it is hard to get that image of his swinging blue bits out of your mind...lol. As for the film, I found it a little slow to get started but after about 30 minutes it was most enjoyable. As you say, quite intense narative, not one you can watch without your full attention.
  13. Price depends on where you take it but for most garages, its a head off job and that means little change from £1000. Shame, cos the valve stem seals cost hardly anything. There are those that have done the job without removing the head but this is not a practice many garages will attempt. I still need to do mine at some point but I have been waiting untill the smoking got worse as I cannot spare the money just yet. To be honest, my car has puffed a bit of blue smoke on start up for nearly two years and it has never got any worse.
  14. I must agree, a lot of good shows seem to get axed. I personaly liked Journey Man, Bionic Women and Firefly(Serenity), all were axed. Certainly Journeyman & Firefly were very good quality series. As you say, Night rider was quite fun to watch and was improving as it went on. I guess only reality shows are watched these days by most. Not sure what that says for the average intelligence.

    Nutter policeman

There’s a lot of emphasis on the fact she is 15 years old. Frankly there are plenty of 15 year olds that act very much like adults and should be treated as such. However, I don’t think violence is necessary either way, whether it’s an adult or child. Of course, like most stories, you are probably only seeing half of it. There’s a fine line between Zero tolerance & assault.
  16. The turbo would be nice but probably more than I'm thinking of spending. I like the idea of the porsche but it always comes down to the same problem. The Supra is a very fast & reliable car. Can even the porsche match it. I think there is a certain prestige about saying I have a porsche but when it comes down to how it performs etc can it really deliver. On paper, performance is very similar. I often think a 300bhp N/A will feel punchier than a 300bhp turbo. I have not driven one of these. Im not looking to buy right away, may not be to late in the year or next if I decide to go that route. I like to find out as much as I can before hand and owners oppinions are often more valuable than magazine reports. My other route could be to be a mint 6 speed supra & do the single turbo conversion to it for a driveable 500bhp. Im not ruling this out but would have to make sure I get everything done by someone who comes highly recommended. Been down the bad tuning path before and want a hassle free, gauranteed outcome if i decide on the modded car route again.
  17. Think you hit the nail on the head, "NOT as Big a deal as I'm making out to be..." Now get back to your cup of tea....
  18. Whoops, to be honest, I cant recall ever seeing a thread myself, must of missed them and I didnt consider looking for such a thread. If it is Supra related I generally do use the search, just didn't realise this topic had been discussed so many times before.. Me Bad....
  19. I have been considering a porsche 996 (911). Would be a 1999/2000 reg. 3.4 litre N/A carrera 2 0r 4. Anyone have any experience with one of these. Wondering what they are like to drive etc. I have laways loved the 911 and just fancy something like this. Carl
  20. You can see something interesting tho, Auto's much more consistently achieving good 0-60 times. What can this mean? Dare I say that the auto is obviously superior in this area...
  21. I had a ford Orion once. It was an Orion-E (special leather edition). Anyway, it also come in a special colour, Raven black. this also looked black in some lights and a red/purple in others. Was very nice but like all these colours a bugger to match should you ever scrape your pride & joy.
  22. I bought one of those watches with the heart rate monitor etc. Tried it a few times and my heart rate seemed to be going much higher than it supposedly should accept I felt fine, not even out of breath. Decided not to look in the end. Ignorance is Bliss.
  23. R adds like thees a wind upp aw wot...
  24. Agreed...the system breeds this kind of behavour.. Benefits should be a temporary solution for an agreed period whilst able bodied people find some sort of work. Why should anyone expect something for nothing.
