    I hate carparks

Missus went out tonight and parked up in the local Tesco's. She parked liked she usually does in an area of the park where nobody else has parked. She is gone 20 minutes and when she comes back, big scrape down the wing down to the primer. Really makes you angry these people that do this sort of thing then leave the scene without saying anything or leaving a note. So many dishonest people now a days. Only saving grace was that it was my Vectra and not the Supra but could quite easily have been the other way around. Either way, I guess another trip to the bodyshop.

    Surround sound.

I think pretty much as has been said. I generaly try to keep all the speakers at ear height when you are sat down on your settee. The rear surrounds can be placed pretty much at any height. I have seen them on the wall facing down and this works well although I personally have them either side of my seating. Problem with most people's Lounge is that the shape of the room rarely allows a pefect setup of your speakers so you have to make allowances anyway.
  3. I think you will find that burn-in is pretty much a thing of the past with regards to the latest Plasma's. My Panasonic does not suffer from this even after leaving the pc on for long periods. As for power consumption, Plasma does consume more than lcd but in the scheme of things it's un noticeable on your monthly bill. It would be a mere blip next to your heating, washing machines and dishwashers. Certainly not something I'd even consider when buying one. If you are buying for picture quality then Plasma is the only choice at present.
  4. A Nice Panasonic freesat 46" Plasma.....sorry , was that too much information. Got carried away-lol
  5. To be honest I dont hate it. Maybe if it were all black it would look ok. Frankly I have seen worse looking. Having said that, I'd not personally do it to mine.

I must be old but I just hate it when I see kids wearing there trousers round there knees. Like I want to see there skinny arse hanging out.. Of course if its a female, it's fine...
  7. Im with elephant and pay £390 fully comp for me and my missus with protected no claims. I dont have a fixed value tho. They were the cheapest quote I could find. Carl
  8. Id be happy not to have to buy fuel ever again if they could stick that in my Supra and make it accelerate 0-60 in 4 seconds and still do 300 miles to a charge.
  9. Yeah, but the worst part is, I had it sent me by someone who still thinks my car is a Subaru. No matter how many times I have told him its a Supra...
  10. thought it was too good to be true...strangely, I missed that one..

    1080 tvs

I second that. I am bias as i am on my second Panasonic Plasma now but to be honest, for the money there is no better plasma out there. Only the pioneer comes close and is much dearer. If you intend to eventually buy BluRay player then I would recommend stretching to the 1080p version as this will future proof your buy. I used to think there was little difference between 720p plasma & 1080p plasma untill i bought my new one and believe me it was liking going from DVD to HD again with regards to HD material being even crisper and more vibrant in colours. If you intend to plug pc's or game consoles into it then again higher resolution will make text etc much clearer to read. i found on the 720p units writing was much harder to read.
  16. I keep toying with taking mine of the road and putting it in my empty garage but alas I enjoy driving it too much... Carl
  17. You are but I think its a natural reaction to try and avoid collisions.
  18. This type of Police tactic must be getting more popular. I was driving the Supra a few months back and was behind two other cars which were both doing about 70mph on a dual carriageway. I had this car behind me that looked as if I were towing it, as it was so close to my bumper. Anyway, the two cars in front pulled over, I put my foot down and overtook then pulled in to the inside lane. Then the guy that had been tailing me, put on the blue lights. I started to pull in and he just flew straight by. I;m not sure if they suddenly got an urgent call or if they were just bating me and changed there mind, but it did seem a little odd.
  19. Agreed, lost count of all the BPU Auto's putting down all the fastest times of the day...
  20. This might be a repost but these cat videos are just spot on. There are a few more by the same guy on the youtube links on the same page.

  22. Well not exactly, my taxes are paying for them to be insulated whilst I have to pay even more to get my own house insulated.[ANGRY][/ANGRY]...
