Yeah she certainly seems to be a rarity. I did the inside a while back and since I've only been driving her at the weekends i didn't need too woohoo. Its great of my mum to lend me her car but I really miss driving the Supra. Hopefully I'll find a flat or house closer to my work soon.(with a decent parking space) I've just been doin little bits to the car when I've had the time, I stripped the scratched ashtray rubber coating off and painted it so fitted that today too. Air-con, lights(possibly HID's) and a service and she'll be just how I want her..... for now!

Cheers Linda, I was testing out some Meguires stuff that I bought and the car was pretty clean to start with so it only took a few hours. I'm really pleased I went for a green Sup, I wonder if I'll want to change colours when it comes time to move up to a TT. I'm guessing that a fairly standard low milage six speed manual in green is gonna be virtually impossible to find. That'll no be happening for a couple years yet or until I think I can justify the money for that extra bit of speed anyway. Was pleased to get them both done, i've been so bloody busy with work recently.

Hi Folks, Not posted for a while so I thought I'd put up some pics I took while washing and polishing the car the day. They're from my camera phone so they're a bit crap but they give the effect. Even did my mums fiesty since I've been borrowing it to commute to work in. For once the weather held out and I got both cars done, it was even sunny enough for me to get burnt. Fingers crossed this weather holds and we finally get a summer! Dave

I can add another to my list, It seems my boss/part owner of the company has one, a red twin. He's got the best mod I've seen yet on his. A bike carrier....... yup I was amazed too! Dave

As said above coming out of the Amec turn off into the traffic last night. You bring my total Supra's spotted in Aberdeen this month up to 5. Hope your a member. Dave

I've not had mine serviced yet either. I may just get Keptie Motors (my local) to do it as I've not got a turbo. I have heard good things about Wallace performance too but its handier for me than it is for you. I don't know if there's a huge amount of truth in it but Vine Place told me the NA's are as easy to service as most cars and most garages should do a good job. Its when you have turbo's that you really need to start considering reps. Seems logical to me. I guess you just go with what you know!

I only caught it at a glance and then a double take so didn't get to hear it. Was just surprised to see two within the space of half an hour sitting in traffic in Aberdeen.

I'm working at Altens at the moment and leaving aberdeen on the way to switch cars at my folks up in Peterhead I saw two Supras. The first was while I was stuck in traffic just down from Altens. The next was at the river end of Market street. I waved to you both and was in my Supra at the time. They looked like nice cars both of them. Strangely enough both silver! The final sighting was on my way back to Arbroath from Peterhead. I was in the Fiasco and noticed yet another silver Soop turning into a street in Montrose. OEM side skirts tinted windows and an after market exhaust was all I could make out. Seems like it was a great night for spotting, just wish I had the money the now to be running my Supra all the time. Having said that I wouldn't want to put all those miles on her. Think I'll save her for when I move. Dave

Good Luck Mk47, I hope you get it all sorted out the way you want it, gonna be picking mine up this afternoon. She's just been in to get a couple dents sorted and some panels sprayed, but It'll be nice to get her back to looking the way she was. Dave

Haha, he just sounds like your typical olde bloke to me. My dad is exactly the same. Let me guess when Who Wants to be a Millionaire comes on does he tell you the answers in an 'its definately A and thats that' kind of way, even though he doesn't actually know the answer? Recently becoming a fiasco driver myself (in addition to the Supra) I hope if I do ever hit anythin in it it'll be your dad. There's no way he should be payin for the repairs. Dave

Haha read the title and thought to myself I know a few places where folks have had they're cars jacked Aberdeen/Kirkcaldy Lol!.... thievin scum! Sorry I'll get my coat................

Haha Superb Bob! I managed to fit two very large mirror edged picture frames in mine(no pics though ) Had a bet with the guy from the store that I'd get them in. We walked out to the car and he said so which ones your car. The green one I said. He walked over to a big 4 x 4. I said no the fast green one. No bloody way are you gettin those in there mate I've packed plenty cars and that'll never fit! I won the bet and took home £10 and had a very big smile on my face the rest of the night They are practical you've just got to know how to pack them correctly.

I know its all down to weight categories and how 'ripped' you are and all the rest but your really not that far off the guys that are on the steroids. Surely you'll be able to get bigger than them by next year? Major respect to you for gettin up in front of a crowd, in your pants, covered in ronseal and even more for going up against guys on steroids. I know from my lack of success at the gym that it takes a lot of dedication to get anywhere near what you've achieved. & Good luck on your bodybuilding future!

Now Now boys and girls as a forum do we not embrace the different, new and creative? ...........nahhhhhhh! they look sheeeite in my honest opinion! Like the offset number plate mount though, looks really cool!
-
He aint the Import Pimp for nothin! If only I had more cash, I'd be buying big impressive shiny bits and pieces instead of fancy wee number plate bolts Lol. What sort of price are these Nic?
-
Was looking for more wee mods to do to the Supra and cam e across a set of number plate screws/bolts with the TRD logo on them. I need to sort out the ones that are on my plates at the moment as two are broken and the remaining two seem loose. Is there any specific size? or are they just standard and will fit straight? Dave p.s. just mean the bolts that hold the plate on.

Looks hell-of-a low and like it sticks out just a bit too far. If I was going for a kit I'd want something a bit different but I'm liking the look of the Ridox kit or something similar and subtle. So the general consensus is that they aint the best of kits design wise or fitting. Time to score those of the list then.

Jake, by well known can i read infamous Lol!

Lol, I'm stayin stock for now, but after my mate was talking about his thought I'd have a look. Checked out their webpage and must say there's nothing there that doesn't look like a straight copy of another manufacturer. Just wondered if anyone had bought and fitted one? Is this the one your talking about Homer?
-
Does anyone have any experience with fitting these to the Supe or any other car for that matter? my mate has one on his MX5 but said that it was a bitch to fit. I know tolerances can vary greatly from one kit to the next. Just wondered what folks opinions were? Cheers Dave

Picking up a lunch order from Subway minutes ago and on the way back got cut up by a Numpty in the above mentioned car, after a tirade of swearing from me I noticed the aerial on the car. I know it was talked about but did anyone actually look into the possibility of getting hold of and fitting one of these to their Supra? Its a nice car(have to admit ) the aerial looks really good and like it might just fit. Any info?
-
Yeah, just noticed the ones in your garage. I really like the TRD wing and Ganador mirrors, I think once you get the rims refurbed like your sayin in the dark colour it will look even better. I like the black and white theme. Lets you go for Carbon fibre bonnet etc. when you get more cash together. Is it Carnoustie Coachwork doin the wheels? thats where mines goin to get sprayed. It'll definately be well worth it once you get it all sorted, there's nothing better than driving a Supra. Very addictive. Dan is from Arbroath too. He's on here, his is a manual twin turbo in black with a big ICE install, fully kitted(top secret + BIG carbon fibre wing) You'll definately recognise it when you see it.
-
Did think it might have been you mate! N/A's are far better anyways(no doubt I'll get a slap for sayin that) much more reliable So i take it she's completely as you bought her then? Looked pretty damn nice to me, any more pics? You'll have seen the feckin big dent in my passenger door as I passed you, It goes in this weekend and I'm so looking forward to having her looking back up to standard. Have you seen Supra Dan's car since it came out of paint? looks even more aggresive than before! I would have gone along to the Aberdeen meet, but I'm gonna be flying back from Canada that weekend. Its still the weekend of the 17th isn't it? Was more than a little bit gutted that I'd miss it!
-
Don't know if you are a member, but I gave you a wave and flashed the hazards as I passed you on my way to the gym. I was in the Green automatic strangely enough Nice looking Sup from what I saw she's kitted with colour coded rims and I could see some A pillar gauge pods so I'm guessin you might be running BPU. Us Tayside owners really need to have a meet! Dave
