  1. Good track that, just been watchin somethin similar on The Hits channel, mashed hits I think.
  2. Haha point taken I'll stop wining and moaning about it now.... promise! If I don't hear anything back from them on the panel I'll use the number provided and see if I can get hold of one. The other problems will be fixed as soon as I can. Wasn't planning on having to respray half the car so soon but its not costing me as much as i thought it might (cheers for the recommendation SupraDan) so it'll be sooner than later. Loving the car and I'm just glad I've got such a great resource to work from in the shape of you guys and this site. Cheers Dave
  3. Cheers Wayney, I've been searchin for somewhere to do the air con regas for that sort of money but bein north of the border means the average price seems to be around £70 for a regas. Cheers Mas If Only I lived down your way I'd have a choice of regas and servicing garages to do the Sup for much less cash! I'll get it all sorted, just gonna take a bit of time and effort. She's definately worth it though!
  4. I've never had a brand new car before but just expected a better level of quality from a dealer thats all. Cheers for the number though!
  5. Did expect a certain level of perfection but from what you've said Miami I can see It's not that bad. Haha was at the supermarket and parked next to a brand new jag, I know I'm biased but the Sup was the sexier of the two. I'll get everything sorted, I guess from previous experience with dealers of 'normal' cars I expected most things to be perfect with the car.
  6. I know things could be worse ehh! Like I've said before and in other posts, really lovin the car and ownership of it even with the shaky start. This site and its members have been invaluable to me so far and I'm sure will continue to be. Cheers all for the help!
  7. Already done the boot rubbers and it helped but didn't solve it. The dash panel clips are all broken and the panel was held on with blu-tack in one corner, so its no just the scratches that were pissing me off. God how negative do I sound! Rant over for now! I'll get back to you once I see if I can sort some of the probs!!!
  8. I know what your sayin Ric, and I know its an old car, things will be wrong and need re-newing. Just didn't expect so many problems so soon. Tatty panel not great service when trying to sort the tatty panel Air con going Suspension rattle? The fact it's already been vandalised is probably making me more hung up about the wee things.
  9. I'll keep everyone up to date on it Hulse. I had heard only good things and they seemed to be fairly up on their knowledge. Maybe its a one off thing though. The rest of the car is pretty much spot on. Checked and replaced them Glosphil that was one of my first wee mods and although it made a difference didn't cure it. Hmm wonder what it is. Hope to get my local mechanic to have a look at the subframe tomorrow. What should i/he be looking for other than just anything obviously loose? Cheers Dave
  10. Cheers for the sympathy Rik, like I say I love the car to bits, and it seemed so smooth and perfect apart from the auto panel.
  11. This is where I went to get my Supra, The prices were a bit higher than average, but I feel I got a good car for the money. Just wondering what everyone elses opinion of the place was? I'm not one to flag up problems and lay blame as I should have insisted on and checked certain things before I bought the car but has anyone else had trouble. I bought the car knowing that the auto dash panel was a bit shoddy. I was assured that there was one on order for me. Being a trusting soul I left off phoning for a couple weeks. Tried phoning this week but couldn't get through to the bloke who sold me the car. I managed to get hold of the other director of the company through email and when I asked he said they didn't have any record of the part on order but he would see what he could do. That was a couple days ago and he hasn't mailed back to let me know when I'll get the part. Should I be worried? The aircon which 'seemed' to be working when I test drove the car has packed in and I'm getting a really rattly noise from the back end now when I go over bumps. Sounds like the rear passenger side. I love the Supra, but have I been sold a Dud? Does anyone have a nice clean un scratched standard auto dash panel sitting about that I could let him know is for sale? maybe speed him on a wee bit. Cheers Dave
  12. Cheers for that Burna, I'll definate be wanting both bracket and aerial when they are next on as a group buy. I'll just have to wait and make do with my telephone mast for now
  13. Cheers for asking Homer, I had assumed(maybe stupidly on my part) that it was the s2000 style one and bracket that was on the last group buy. Whats the other one you're reffering to?
  14. So if I buy an aerial from Imi i don't need to buy the bracket here? He supplies aerial and bracket together. Apologies if I've got it wrong.
  15. Hows things Wallace? Guessing you've collected your Sup then? did you post up any pics, too lazy to go searchin.
  16. What happened to Broomie? where'd he go
  17. Proof (if ever needed) that stock rocks! p.s. Nice wheels mate
  18. Nice! Might be interested in a set of these too Nic, would like to see the pics first though. Not sure if they'd look quite right as I'm staying stock on the front and actually like the orange ones that are set into the vents. Need pics!
  19. I'm interested in the bracket, and the aerial if there's another buy for them! 1. broomie 2. Greenauto
  20. cheers Supra, Just wondered as I'm now on an anti vandalisation kick thought removing the aerial from the outside completely would be a good thing plus look pretty cool. Might just go for the stubby type. Has anyone else tried it or know of a kit that is available. Sure it must have been done commercially by now???

    Aerials?

The new stubby aerials from the group buy look pretty cool on and I'm seriously considering gettin one if there's another batch. Just got to thinking though, why does the aerial have to be so big. I've forgotten most of my highschool physics but mobiles have to recieve signals and they have inbuilt aerials. Is it possible to produce a powerful aerial that gives good performance but can be hidden away within the car? Cheers Dave

    No respect...

Just what I'm gonna do Brian! Seems like tis the only way to stop the wee buggers doin damage. They're like gold dust round my way though and I don't have the cash for a nice new house with one stuck on the side
  23. Greenauto

    No respect...

Yup! what the hell is the world coming to? I sound like a real old git but its true just seems to be no respect these days. Still fuming about what they did to mine(see previous threads) If you catch them give them a good kickin for me!
  24. Cheers mate! If I do you can garantee they won't have a leg to stand on, well not until they've undergone months of reconstructive surgery and physiotherapy anyways. I have a few local connections looking into the matter as we speak
  25. Hmm, the show was ok. IMO the R8 did look very similar to a TT and with not too dissimilar performance. Even the rocket didn't look that fast, though I'm guessing if Plato had had more road he'd have been able to make himself look a little uncomfortable at the top end. V.B.H. is definately 'hornworthy' If I ever win the lottery sod buying the super expensive uber cool super cars, I'll be buying a TT goin single and hiring her to drive me round in it amongst other things!
