Aye she's pretty much stock aside from a nice set of 18's and a set of custom retrimmed seats. I've had modded cars before but really don't want to go too far down that road and spoil the lines of an already beautiful car. I might do a few wee engine mods and some ICE though. Think the first mods are gonna be a new set of the refurb facelifted lights with the chrome rings and some Phillips bulbs just to brighten the tired looking J-spec ones on her the now. Then it'll be a new head unit me thinks. I think we'll be needing a meet very soon!

Haha Aye Tayside seems to have one of the fastest growing memberships on here. Seems like we've all got our cars within the past month or so Lol. Having said that still waiting to pick up mine and its killing me My folks are still up in Peterhead so I head up maybe once a month to see them. Give us a wave if you see a Green NA passing through Eberdeen.
  3. Uhh Ohhh Ummm Oops Doh! Haha well I guess the Hooj sticker and the fact that it looked pretty smart fooled me. Certainly looked nice as I drove past. Must go slower the next time I pass it. Cheers guys!

Aye Aye loon, nae bad ava! Am fae up north masel but reside in Arbroath the now. Welcome to the site!
  5. Oops True that was aimed at Elmo! No offence intended Gareth! I think we are talkin about two different things here. I was assuming we were talking about the stock indicators prefacelifts have built into their bumpers. Having had a look at your beautiful Sup I see its your side indicators that are tinted black. Elmo were you thinking the same as me or did you mean what Gareth is talking about?
  6. ^^^ True that! Tinting can look a bit chavvy if done incorrectly. Hopefully gonna order a set of the refurbed black with chrome rings headlights when I get the car so I'm no sure if clear would look best or smoked but either way sure it must be possible.
  7. Heading back to Arbroath from kayaking across at Stanley today and noticed this car. Pretty hard not to notice it actually. Big top secret sticker down the side, looks like the full wide arch kit. Carbon bonnet and rear wing. I'm hoping it was someone from here cause I'd love to see more of the car. Looks awesome and thats just from the roll-by I did. Was it you?
  8. Yeah! Been reading up about how to change over to facelift and it seems like a lot of hassle if there was just the chance of getting clear pre facelift indicators. Can't see why it would be that difficult for a company to do? Haha maybe we could even get a group buy together?
  9. Cheers Guys [GRIN][/GRIN] Next saturday couldn't come quick enough! The Weather is getting good already, roll on summer in the Supe!
  10. Really startin to get withdrawl symptoms now! I've got another bloody week to wait before I can go pick up my new toy! Supposed to be a nice dry weekend too! Just as a matter of interest can any of the local Tayside members recommend a good garage for Servicing. I know the N/A isn't a difficult to work on as the TT but I'd like someone who has at least got a good knowledge of the car to be doin the work. I'm in the Arbroath area.
  11. Haha, Next thing you know there'll be a special regional section in the Scotland section dedicated to Tayside. Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. I've been popping on here every so often through the day to try and ease the craving to just go get my car right now Lol. Everything is in place I'm just waiting for the dealer to get the car serviced and the leather seats done. Get a move on re-trimmer I need my car!!!!!!!!!!! Has anyone got any plans for a meet? or when would the next one be so all the Taysiders can gather on-mass.
  12. Yep definately be interested to see how it turns out and how much work it would be. Is it true that Super chargers are 'supposedly' more reliable than turbo chargers? I guess it just depends on the set up?
  13. Cheers Guys, For the welcome and the advice Mawby has been pm'd. I know Supra Dan, I've seen a few going about now. Sorry I've reduced your exclusivity Haha think I'll be the only green one up here. Please don't prove me wrong!
  14. Hi All, Still getting over the shock/excitement of owning my all time dream car. Just got back from Newcastle and still have the biggest smile you've ever seen across my face Lol I bought it today but will be picking it up in the next couple weeks. Can't wait to climb back in and drive it. I registered my name as Redauto before finding todays purchase. Its probably a silly question but is it possible to change it over to Greenauto??? My car is one of only a few Green ones I've ever seen. I'll get pics up as soon as I take delivery of the car but for now I'd just like to say Hi to everyone and I look forward to chattin to as many of you as possible! Dave:)

    Aberdeen meet?

Hi folks, Just been down to Newcastle to buy my Supra the day, should be picking her up in the next couple of weeks. I'm still getting over the shock of actually buying my dream car! I would have been up for a run up to Eberdeen as I used to live up that way in Peterhead. Now down in mighty Arbroath! Problem is I'm away to Canada for a couple weeks and don't get back till after the trip. Loving ownership and the forum already I'll be looking forward to any other events/runs. Great to be here!
  16. I'm in Arbroath at the moment but spend a bit of time down in Kirckaldy at my girlfriends..... as you do. There was a bloke from my work that had a black Supra with the full Vielside kit on and logo's down the side.
  17. Yeah I took a looky at your car Lucas, it does look like a superb example he's got you. I'll be glad if I get one as good as yours where ever I get mine from. Nice car mate! Itching to get into a Supra after wanting one since I was old enough to drive!
  18. Cheers Mike, I saw Vineplace on Autotrader too and thought the cars looked pretty good as well as being a good price. I'm in the process of speaking to CJ and Jurgen but think I might pop down to Vineplace and speak to them too. Sounds worth a look. Hopefully be at a Scottish meet soon once I find the right one. I'm Tayside too so hopefully I'll see you around. Cheers Dave
  19. Anyone got any experience with buying from Calder or Mackay trading? As I said they are closer but are they any good?
  20. Cheers Aristo, Wrist truely slapped, I'll mind on for the next post, here's hoping it'll be titled 'Pics of my new Supra'. Dave
  21. Cheers for the info so far, I did see some Dicksons cars in the trader. Also noticed some from Makay trading and I've seen a few cars from Calder and CRD. Any ideas about either of these? They are closer but at the end of the day I don't mind drivin south if i can pick up a better motor. Haha the further down the better it'll give me a longer run home when I finally do purchase the car. Jurgen, I'll give you an email the night to see what you could get hold of for me. I'd love a TT but I'm thinking the insurance will be mega steep for me. I guess I just need to get some insurance quotes sorted. even the n/a is gonna be a rocket ship compared to my 1.8 Vectra Lol. So looking forward to climbin into my Japanese dream car. Cheers all for the info.
  22. Right folks, Finally think I've got enough cash together to get my dream car. It'll be an na but its still a Supra. After reading through some posts I'm worried about buying a clocked import. a lot of the ones I've been looking at seem to have very low milage for the age of the cars, even for imports. Question is where is the best place to buy my new car. A reliable importer/private seller I can trust. I'm looking to spend a maximum of £7000 and want something with a reasonable spec and towards lower miles. Not too fussy Auto or manual but would preffer manual. Thanks for your help in advance!!!
  23. Hi folks, Just a wee question. How did the MX5 that was there cope on the day? Maybe your the wrong folks to ask but my next car choice is between the MX and a Supra. Before you say it I know two completely different cars. I have driven both and though I loved the handling and weight of the MX and also loved the sheer power and solid feel of the Supra. Its either spend the money and buy a newer MX5 or and older Supra and have higher running and repair and insurance costs. Opinions please......
