I'm going to agree in the facts that I don't like it and also that it must have taken a lot of work. I'm assuming that it was done not only to show that it could be done but also to update the look of the dash. IMHO i doubt very much if cars of the future will have such large expanses of flat plastic/fibreglass. Also I know the colour was chosen to match but as mentioned previously i think it makes it look cheap. Great idea with way it integrates the mac, but more thought needs to go into it. Dave

Hmmmm Is it wrong to admit I quite like it, not sure about the carbon/gunmetal contrast. I think it would look better on a darker colour, maybe green . Having said that fair play to him/her for doing something different. It would look better in a darker colour, with a Top secret nose, and trial rear or maybe just the spats blended in to the rear.

Cheers for the pm Eve, thats given me another option. And more confusion I don't have to move into a place in January as I'll be able to stay at my folks till I can find something I like. I just don't want to burden them by going back home and they live in Peterhead so it'll be a similar drive then even more traffic than I've got at the moment. I guess its just a short term solution. I think I'm going to have to stay with them and hope the housing market in Aberdeen takes a similar nose dive to the way it has in other places. I'll go and have a look at the flat in Torry, but my first instincts do tell me to stay away. If only I could have shipped the flat I'm in now straight to Cove it would be perfect!

Help me, I move out of my flat in Arbroath mid January and still haven't been able to find a place in Aberdeen yet. The move is to get me closer to my work so I can actually afford to drive my Supra a bit more. At the moment the 100 mile a day drive aint happenin in the Sup. Only problem I have is that there don't seem to be any places in my price bracket. Ideally I'd like a one/two bedroom place in Cove with off-street parking and possibly a wee garden but thats not essential. I've looked at maisonettes there but offers over 85K turns into 110K and that aint happenin. I've widened the search to encompass flats but that is still not helping. I'm now looking at flats in other areas but there's nothing close to Altens (where I work) that I'd feel safe leaving the car out on the street. I'm going for a look at a flat in Torry tonight, its ground floor so I should be able to see the car from the flat but I know what the reputation of the place is. I've already had the car vandalised once, I don't want that happening again. CCTV maybe Long winded explanation I know but does anyone know of anywhere else to look or have any ideas I may not have thought about yet? Is Torry as bad as I've heard? Cheers Dave

Can't think who that would be Kev. Haha been drivin mine more and more but still no-one has spotted me I got flashed by a Mini Cooper S but I think it was a lassy I know in her new car.

If you're trying to build a show car why spend all that time building pointless fibreglass coverings when you could be changing those stock seats out? Dave
-
You weren't in Kirkcaldy by chance were you Eck? Actually I won't even go there... brings back bad memories Happens everywhere, you've just got to be careful where you leave her. Dave
-
Sounds like it could be Renegade you saw. Was it a fairly stock looking Sup? Dave

Welcome mate! I'm another Aberdeen member but also frequent Tayside (at least until the flat sells in Jan). Like Eve said, there have been a couple meets and you need to get yourself along to the next one. Look forward to hearin the new rumble. Dave

Too be honest mate you can't go wrong. If you love the looks but aren't that bothered about having a complete rocket-ship then go for an NA, just don't try to race anything(just being honest, I've got an NA and love it to bits). As stated above bring the twin up to BPU and you've got a very affordable supercar that's reliable and still turns far more heads than buying a 350Z or Porsche Bintster. I'm sure the car you've posted there is actually a members from on here. Looks to be a very nice motor and being one of the clubs you can garantee its been loved and looked after. Might be worth speaking to Jurgen or Paul Whiffin. I would if I was looking for my next Supra. Dave

Paid via PayPal, cheers Rosie!

Alright Kev, It could have been Chainy from on here. I spotted him in Peterhead last night. Its a wonder you didn't spot me in town, was on my way through heading back home to Arbroath at about the same time. was it kitted? Dave

Ahhh It was your good self that sourced it Jurgen? Haha now lets just get one thing straight Venom much as I like the look of your car I'll settle for a spin in it once you finally take delivery. No touching needed Enjoy it when you get it mate, just watch with all this surface water at the moment, If i can aqua plane and scare myself in the N/A then you'll need to take it easy in a twin. Where did you get yours serviced Chainy? Cartech? I saw your car but also saw a white Skyline GTS last night. The heed seems to be goin Jap car crazy. Can only be a good thing!

Welcome mate! Definately worth the drive to get the right car. You may not have an exciting time going for it but the drive home makes up for that. Good luck in your search. Dave
-
Not seen your car yet mate! I look forward to seeing it in the flesh soon though. Chainy, were you in Peterhead tonight? I saw a silver Sup with a similar front to yours earlier on tonight after collecting mine from the garage. The cars lookin nice! Dave

Brilliant Keith! As above should have been a pile of red coated toffs. Been meaning to send you a message to ask where you got your plates done? could you pm me the company name, I'm gonna need something to keep me entertained over the christmas break. Dave

Ooooh that is beeeaautiful, that stick on Chrome, those tasty bling bling rims and the lovely steering wheel cover. Makes me want to go down to halfrauds right now.

You were just south of Stoney on the other side of the dual carriage way as I was heading north. I was in the fiasco so there was no point in waving. Hope your another Aberdeen/Tayside member. Dave

Cheers for the replies guys, Yeah I'm hoping the brakes is just needin a fluid change or top up and not something popped off or fallen to bits. As for the suspension I'll get him to have a look while he's got the car on the ramps. Cheers for the run down on the garages Eve. If my mate manages this time I'll just use him for the basics. It shouldn't be too much hassle If I'd been twin or single it might have been an issue but the NA should be fairly basic and easy to work on. I might try Wallace Performance for some of the bits I want done once I've got the money from the sale of my flat through. I guess once I find somewhere I trust its best just to stick with them.

Can Anyone help? I've got two problems with the car. 1st is that the brakes aren't up to much. This shouldn't be the case as they are the bigger brakes. Discs and pads seem to be ok. When I'm driving along I get two warning lights coming on internittently. They are the same two red lights that you get on start up with the handbrake on. I really have to stamp on the brakes hard to get anything to happen(worrying, especially for an auto) also you can hear a noise like the caliper clicking once as you push the pedal down. Not sure if something has gone within the caliper itself or if they just need bled and a general once over. I'd love to have braking to match the performance. 2nd problem is a rattle when I go over pot holes. You can't hear it when you've got the windows closed but open its really annoying. Its not the boot as I did the rubbers. I think its likely to be the Subframe or suspension/bushes. Any thoughts? I'm getting my mechanic friend to look at it tonight but if anyone can recommend a good gargae in Aberdeen to do the work that'd be great.

They look nice on both your cars guys. Having seen them now I think they'd really suit my car. Now I've just got to wait and hope I get the money I should when the house sale goes through
-
have you test fitted them at all Ricky? I'd be really interested to see them on yours. Are there any differences in terms of arches or offset between NA and Turbo?
-
Yeah, i thought they looked pretty nice, especially for that price. I need to trawl through with the search tool and check out some of the other members cars with similar dish. Should look nice on my stock green car though i think.

Hi All, Moving house soon and I stand to make a bit of cash in the sale. Needless to say the Supra is gonna get a few bit and pieces. Been considering HID's, Exhaust, ICE, and a new set of rims. Just wondering if anyone has a set of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/18-Alloy-Wheels-Skyline-Toyota-Supra-Nissan-300zx_W0QQitemZ150175962160QQihZ005QQcategoryZ9888QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Or knows if they will be the correct fit and clear UK brakes. Oh and opinions/other options always welcome.
