  1. I'll have it if it fits a TT. You have a PM
  2. How late am I getting onto this thread??? Here's me in fancy dress.....
  3. Wayne, has it sold???? If not I'm after one of these.... can pick it up tomorrow on way back from work?
  4. Where I used to work we connected an airline to a large pressure pot containing 10L oil that was then connected to the oil gallery. A couple of seconds of air pressure on this before cranking & running ensured that there was plenty of lube & no dry cranking. Just had to be careful not to leave it on and over fill the sump
  5. Matt, sell yours buy mine Gixer wants one... He has £5.5K in his pocket That means only 2K more for my car!!

    Mr T

I get a 10% discount on parts at my local Mr T's for being a member of this club! Very helpful & always call back when they say they will with results of the search for parts (which they can always get).

    Strange Noise

My old Shaguar used to do this... turned out to be the rear subframe mounts that were loose.

    trade plates

Trade plates can be used by anyone that the plate owner allows to use them i.e employees, but there needs to be a written record or register with the details of who is using them and what dates & which vehicle They need to be properly displayed on the front and back of the car, not in the windows. The car is not to be left on the highway unattended with trade plates. No personal journey should be made with trade plates (other than the original transportation journey) i.e. to go shopping etc The car still needs to be insured. Good luck!
  10. Thanks Burt.... Not exactly selling like hot cakes.

  12. Just VAT at 17.5% I think. That's what I paid on the spark plug group buy.... But they did send them as a "Gift"

    1520hp Supra????

Beautiful sleeper. Love the engine bay. I want it!!
  14. Or petrol bomb their offices.......No, that's illegal isn't it.. Go to the press.. "Heartless multinational giant freezes innocent downs boy's internet account"
  15. Oversize valves will give you greater curtain area (the circumference of the valve x the lift) and hence more flow capability. When you've reached the limit of valve lift (limited by the piston stand proud height, or valve pocket depths; head gasket thickness; valve seat depth and most importantly valve timing) the increase in valve diameter will give the required increase in flow capability. Being turbocharged it isn't such an important issue, but when looking for all out maximum power it will reduce the loading on the turbo(s) and allow more mass airflow for a given boost pressure.
  16. OMFG... totally nuts Guess it won't bee very tractable for the street eh???
  17. I was stopped in a layby for a roadside emissions test a few years back. I had just pulled out of work and the engine was cold... so told the bloke who basically said "Whatever". He then went to stick the sample pipe up the exhaust, and realised I didn't have one It had fallen off the previous week I was sent on my way !!! VOSA now do the roadside checks. http://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/publications/roadside%20emissions%20check%20leaflet.pdf If you get emissions checked and fail you have 14 days to get it fixed and get it retested at an MOT station, or else you can be prosecuted.... So just srick the cats back in and get it examined, then take them out again.
  18. Is it cos you keep hooning around roundabouts putting much more weight transfer onto the nearside rear wheel when under power???
  19. Blimey, I bought one of these for £20 the other week. Got a bargain I think!!
  20. There is a kit available with it on Ebay I think... I have one of these. It actually fits without having to move anything around (on my car at least).
  21. Errr, no ta. That's a bit too big IMHO. Wouldn't fit into my Supe!!! 7 stone is featherweight for a bloke... how tall are you Jazz??
  22. I love the feeling after a good workout... sort of a great natural high. Just too lazy to actually go I suppose Jazz, how many pictures of you topless does that make???? As many as CJ has (had) cars?? LOL Good pecs tho mate. Edit: Cheat, you've changed it to a pic of that american guy who used so much steroids his arms exploded
  23. Col.. I thought there were two types: Barrier coating that prevents the underlying metal from actually getting hot Substrate modifying coating that bonds/fuses with the metal and creates a thin composite layer that, as you say, makes the metal more resistant to heat etc.
  24. Err aluminumised glass fibre or similar?? For a heat proof coating search for ceramic coating on google. Something like Yttrium Zirconia or Zirconium oxide would be best to resist the temperatures a turbo will see.
