I've never once had a problem with ebay or paypal, myself being the buyer or seller. I have feedback of over 250, 100% positive. That said, it can happen. If you let them bid, and they don't cough up the dosh, sell it to the 2nd highest bidder. Other thing - once the money is in your paypal account - get it transferred to your proper bank account pronto. That way it can't be reversed out afterwards. If its under £50, it'll cost you to do this though.

I used to do this with my carPC - used netstumbler and other s/w to produce a 2d roadmap of my area and unprotected wifi spots. was good fun Don't need to do it now though - in the block of flats i live in theres about 3 so i'm never without internet access! (I do pay for my own broadband mind - i'm not some cheeky scav)

Staples have some bargain deals sometimes... Picked up an IBM laptop, dvd-rw, 1.6ghz, 256MB Ram (which i've doubled for £20).... Nice laptop - £300 Don't do this model in there at the moment, but keep eyes peeled

this subject has been winding me up well and truly all day long - repeated on the radio SOOO many times i've been going crackers. Taxing people more is WRONG! It WILL NOT WORK. Unless the £50 notes the government take line our ozone layer and fill the gaping hole, and planting them in the ground gives us new forests, then it wont WORK! Taxing people more won't stop them using the less-economical cars/appliances etc - they'll just look for more money with respect to jobs etc to pay for it. What the government really need to do is to STOP the waste: 1) Stop the throw-away society we live in, and repair old products rather than just stick them in a landfill 2) Stop manufacturers from making standby modes on devices, or at least make them MUCH more economical in this mode 3) Decrease the price of the enegy-saving appliances - such as light bulbs, more economical fridges/freezers etc. People will then buy them as an ALTERNATIVE, not a one-off. 4) Tax should be GLOBAL - if it is to be increased, increase it for EVERY COUNTRY. America pollutes FAR more than the UK - but their fuel prices are under 1/2 what we pay. And so on.... Its not going to work - because i'm sure the above won't ever change. We're screwed.

i love this car. Saw it at Trax, took some photos, and use them as my windows wallpaper sometimes. Real, REAL shame to see it leave the UK.

a firewall is good, but without any AV software you're open to the elements, so to speak. Usually booting into safe mode will stop the virus from starting up, and then you can delete the file that is known to be the virus, and then reboot. I use a tool known as Hijackthis to remove a lot of viruses, but you really do need to know what you are doing to use it, otherwise things can go very wrong.

Remove the wheels & the naff stereo in the boot and i actually think its O.K. The green can look quite good if done properly, and on the right car.

hmmm... i'm not convinced. YET. If I do what i do in xp, and switch off all the gimmicky stuff anyway, then i may as well stick with XP. Mind you, work only rolled out XP Pro last July - so i doubt we'll switch to vista until 2020! lol..

i was parked in a LOADING BAY, with hazard lights flashing, while i was LOADING my car. (with hifi speakers i had just purchased, not that it matters) I got a ticket - apparently it was a GOODS ONLY loading bay? The sign was around the corner (so how was i supposed to see it? And what am i loading my car with, goods, no???) Anyway, officer bloke was still writing it when i got to my car, i had to wait for him to finish writing it so he could give it to me. I wish i had just jumped in car and driven off. I've always said i thought the law was as stated above, but i was told otherwise, or at least "fobbed off". Grrrr.

Yep - OEM is one of those things that bugs me. Microsoft's take on it - its preinstalled - if the hardware in that PC significantly changes (ie new motherboard) then you'll need a new license of XP.

i suppose it depends what you call "a lot different" - I earn more than my girlfriend, about 25% more than she does - and that gaps growing all of the time. It'll get smaller in a few years when the missus has gone back to uni and completed the degree she wants to do. Suprisingly, she's the one who owns the flat we live in, and so she'll have a bigger deposit to use for our next, joint property. But hopefully by then the extra wages i have been getting have allowed me to build up a fair amount to help too

I went straight over - and was in my Leon Cupra - i smiled as i went passed but i didn't think you would back - i need to be in a supra to get that treatment So, who was it then? i can see 1 of the 5 pictures now - still missing 4 of gary twin turbo pics tho. (Bottom right one works) Thats in firefox AND IE6...

i use ie6... i would upgrade to ie7 but it isnt compatible with my router web interfaces etc!

so if you download the copies you have on your website through your ftp software, is it the updated version?
