  1. A 22yr old? On an import that's got to be 4 figures for insurance....
  2. its parked on a street? Christ - 5 seconds here and it'll be scratched and probably nicked too..... Remove the stickers/decals/graphic things, sort out the wheels and put the interior trim back, and it'd be lovely IMO. Don't think i'd use it on the street though due to lack of stereo, interior trim and such. But under 20k? f00k - thats a lot of car!
  3. ah cunning! Do you know what relocation kit that is? Oh, and thats not a stock "hole" in the side of the car is it... so I'd assume these would have to be on the car for this to work....
  4. just a quick question guys - how much are people paying for the filter relocation kit, and does anyone have photos of where they've relocated it to? I've read that the Greddy ones are sh*te, and good ones seem about £150ish. Not sure about oil coolers yet, i just want to make it easier to service when i get the car. thanks
  5. thanks Pete - I did kinda grasp that not all SLD's are speed converters, but i didnt really state that in my post (oops) I just thought it'd make more sense to me to have a readout that was entirely in miles, rather than part miles and part km.. its a minor niggle, thats all.
  6. Hey all Am I right in assuming that most imported supras will have the converted odometers etc, either using an SLD or similar? Reason I ask is that a lot of people advertise their car as having done XXXX km and the last XXXX being miles..... seems like without proof on paper these figures could be easily "adjusted" by the seller to make it sound better..... Is there a way you can adjust the odometer etc so the reading it gives is just 100% miles rather than km? I'm assuming you'd have to replace a lot of bits to do this though....thats if it is possible. And in which case, i'm assuming it is possible to install an SLD but leave all readings in km....? Cheers
  7. sorry to hear that rosie. Don't know if it helps, but my place has just been (potentially, although almost certain) bought out by Motorola - job cuts imminent. I'm in the situation where i don't know if i stay or get kicked out. However, i'm also hearing rumours of good things, and we are bringing our deskside support back inhouse too. I'm server/telecoms kinda person myself, and i'm always SO VERY busy, so just hope i don't lose my job. Anyway, I find jobsite to be the best BY FAR with regards to jobs around here... good luck in the hunt!

    fmic on an n/a

An FMIC cools down the air in the turbo system - you don't have an intercooler because you don't have a turbo. I think you're getting confused - the cold air coming into your airfilter is the only air intake into your car, which is why the theory behind a cold-feed pipe to the filter states you'd get more power. You can't replace your air-intake with an FMIC...
  9. i must admit - the kit and wheels look superb!
  10. i'd speak to jurgen - he can probably source you a lovely example - might not have one listed on his site cos he sells so many before they arrive!
  11. I'm sure the gold supra of Mark Watson's has those wheels.... last months Jtuner if you have one handy? Or maybe his garage?
  12. fantastic - I'm sure theres a couple that i haven't seen......
  13. IMO, if they axe top gear, then fifth gear will have to go too - in fact any similar program. Its just the UK gone mad. What next, they going to ban FastCar, Max Power, etc? THEY are the ones that probably influence the younger drivers to do silly things. I just really, REALLY hate the comments made - saying top gear promote and take part in dangerous driving etc - B*LLS - they are probably far, FAR superior drivers than 99% of the population.

Admittedly i was expecting to find pictures of Kit from Knightrider with some dodgy David Hasselhoff pictures like this:
  15. if only the seller could spell "SONY" lol
  16. /me changes my windows background Lovely mate!
  17. Oh, and I'm left handed too, but guitar is played right handed (the normal way) Also easier to find guitars that way! Not many lefties about
  18. I am 24 now, and I've been playing all types of guitar since the age of 7 (17yrs now!!!) I started with classical, moved to electric, now currently playing bass in a band and also the drums from time to time Good energy release that one! I still have so much to learn, and since I have not played as much for the last few years it means I'm almost back to square 1
  19. Hit the nail on the head there - my degree covered over 10 programming languages - but ask me to write a program in any one of them and I couldnt, bar the basics. You have to learn the rest of the language yourself, and develop your skills OUTSIDE of uni.
  20. I work in IT support and studied IT as a masters degree for 4yrs, coming out with a Distinction/1st grade. In my HONEST opinion the degree was a waste of time. I could have done a degree in music and still be where i am today. A degree these days just shows the ability to learn. Anyway, the company I work for has just been bought out by motorola, and jobs are on the line as you'd expect. Really wish I had been a plumber/painter/decorator as I have mates that left at school/college level and are earning twice what I'm on.
  21. currently paying 87p for super unleaded, or 90p for optimax...
  22. shit, he's a great guy. Hope he pulls through.
