  1. Off topic I know, but not much closer mate. I've sat in one now, and I'm doing LOTS of research so I get a beauty when i do buy one! Saving like mad, but doing 3000 miles a month in my SEAT would definately not be practical in a supe

    Carputer Install

parts list depends on what you are planning to do with the carPC... Some ideas (assuming you are making from scratch) Mini ITX motherboard or similar, CPU, RAM etc Wifi card Touchscreen LCD USB GPS receiver S/W - Windows XP? Sat nav software MP3 software Power supply that can survive in "rough" conditions - ie survive a fluctuating input from 10V-28V yet keep a very steady 12v output Harddrive or large solid-state media Input device(s) - wireless keyboard/mouse?
  3. i am not clicking on that link - my computer is not to be poisoned with those french made chav-wagons websites.... (try saying that fast when you've had a few )
  4. Hey all, Just looking at subscribing to JP, and online it asks for a club password. Do mkivsupra.net have one? If so, what is it? Do we get a JP discount, like we do/did on J Tuner? Thanks in advance Paul

hmmmm... i paid for a subscription about 2 months ago, received issue 19, but not had 20 yet (assume its not out until today/tomorrow?) No letter or anything - so if i don't hear anything i'll cancel my dd at my bank. What other jap magazine do peeps recommend then?
  10. damn, just checked again and I can't find it now. It was on there for a long time if i recall, kept seeing it listed on there (i think the picture was from the rear, with a flag or something nearby - not that that helps at all)

  14. 4hrs long? He's a bit modest, isn't he???? lol
  15. I'm gutted mate - wish I HAD popped down. Trouble was, as I had organised our meet, and had SOOO many new faces, I had to try and say hello to everyone and stuff... you know how it is... If I had disappeared I expect our meet probably would have died - people travelled for over 2 hrs to come, so I felt it was the best idea. I'll be at the next one...!
  16. not sure on the wheels or the graphic on the door, but otherwise looks stunning This is exactly the kind of supra I'll be looking to own in a year or so - whether it comes already modified or not I don't know... yet!
  17. did a couple of scoobys, and evo and an ibiza join you at one point? They left our meet to come to yours and have a look, i don't know if they found you tho!
  18. some people use automatic bidding software to win auctions. I've tried one once out of curiosity, and it worked well The s/w can bid for you as many times as necessary up to your maximum limit. and it can do it with 5 seconds to spare too, saving you the hassle of sitting there and refreshing the screen.
  19. those wheels are AWESOME what wheels are they?

    Neons?

If neons are "chav" purely because too many chavs use/own them, then be prepared to be driving a "chav-wagon" soon - far too many supra's being sold to them now! (more affordable cars due to decreasing prices)

    Neons?

I'm going out on a limb here, for fear of being flamed, but: I have neons on my Leon. They were an xmas present, and so felt like I HAD to install them so as not to upset the giver of the present... Thats not to say i don't like them though - i love them! (if done right!) I spent a good 2-3months planning the install, so I got it right. The tubes are so perfectly placed that unless you are virtually under the car, you cannot see the tubes directly. I also went for red coloured neons - a) because they look good and b) so that it wouldnt draw too much attention like blue and green. Finally - so as to not be classed a "chav" - I installed the on/off switch in the boot of my car. Meaning i could only ever have them on when parked up for shows/meets etc, and so that none of my passengers could fiddle with them. I do NOT drive on public roads with them switched on. I still think the rule is that if the tube can be seen, its illegal. I don't know where the police would stand with these new neons - its probably possible for the user to set it up so that they do glow the correct colours.
  22. damn, its our VAG meet @ the Farmhouse on Eastern Road on the 12th, otherwise i might have popped along...
  23. 24yr old, 7yrs no-claims, Supra-TT quotes: I've had a quote of about £400-450 FC on a UK non-modded car. On a non-modded import best quote was just into 4 figures. Both quotes from Confused.com. Sky promised to better both figures, but as i don't own the car yet i didnt bother following up.
