    Dude!!

I just can not stop him from putting my kit on. Just had to put this up, "coolest dog, or what?" Bob.
  5. Firstly I just have to say a big thanks to "suprash" for getting the car safely from my Place to AFR on Saturday, Cheers mate. But its still not good to see it go off like that with people watching, nudging and smiling, hopefully I'll soon be able to go to AFR and DRIVE it back under its own steam. Some more trailer pic's
  6. The down chages coming up to corners sound fantastic, good vid, I was moving with him all the way around.
  7. Yep, I'm hoping its just bad timing and the two are not connected and that they are reasonibly (that does not look right) simple to sort out. Bob.
  8. Bit of an update. "Supra matt" came over on Sunday and brought his compression tester and we double checked the compression, and there is deffinately no compression on number 6 cylinder, he also sold me his spare UK turbo set with all the bits (these are from little nums car RIP). The car with the turbos and the problems are all going to AFR this Saterday, thanks to "suprash" for the trailering and "Dude" for booking it in, and then somewhere down the line I will get a nice healthy car back. I will keep updating this or another thread with progress on what was wrong and what was needed to fix it, hopefully it will not be too major and I can get the AFR guys to do a few other smaller jobs. Bob.
  9. Congratulations mate, life for you after June will never be the same again.
  10. Thanks Ash, hopefully (he was poorly last weekend) "supraMatt" is driving over to my place this weekend to give me a second oppinion on the problems with my car, what a hero, loss of compression on number 6 and a possible defective EGCV actuator, after that I will need to get it to a good garage in the area. I'll give you a ring or a PM next week. Thanks. Bob.
  11. Has anyone got, or knows somone who has, a car transporter/trailer in the south east area, I'm pretty sure I'm going to need one soon to get my car to a garage. I would rather pay somone from the club before going elsewhere. Bob.
  12. Hi mate, seems like you have a simillar problem to one of the ones I have, I have two threads running in Tech at the mo (lucky old me) and one of them has the very same symptons as yours. I'm now 95% sure it is the EGCV actuator, which sits under the 1st turbo, it is an actuator which moves a large'ish ceramic valve on the exhaust side of the 2nd turbo, and if this valve is stuck shut you dont get anything from the 2nd turbo, all the boost is dumped. This is what I've been told and also sounds right when I read all the tech stuff. I only said 95% sure because my second problem has surpassed this one. Best of luck, keep us informed. Bob.
  13. Thanks Duke, yep so do I but I fear it may take a while and cost a lot of readies in the end. Bob.
  14. Not a good thing is it, how long and why did yours go? I get mine back on a trailer tomorrow and I'm pretty sure it will have to go off on one again soon. Don't know how to multi-quote.... Bob.
  15. No mate, I don't get the car back till Tomorrow aft. Bob.
  16. All in all I've been very pleased with the AA over the years, I have one of thier top plans which enables you to get the car transported from where the car is to any garage even at a later time, (just the once though) and they pay for a hire car for three days. The only issue I had this time when they came out to find out what was wrong, was the guy didn't do much investigating and seemed lost with my "ickle" engine.
  17. Rob, wasn't being sarcy, there is a more detailed thread in Tech though. Bob.
  18. Yes it is, but somehow on the back of a brake down truck it looses a bit of its appeal, especially when the 2cv down the road goes a lot, lot, fasted just now. By the way love the Avitar, One of my cats also loves being pushed all over the place on his back.
  19. looked so alone, felt so sad. I have a thread in Tech on the reasons why. Bob.
  20. Hi Mate, you're right I am having a nightmare I realy don't know which way to turn, I am BPU and I hadn't considered the FCD, when I get the car back thats one of the things I need to look at. Neither the AA or the garage have mentioned the fluids and untill yesterday neither had I, but I would have thought that if I have a major problem with compression on one cylinder, sugesting some sort of failure, then I would expect that to show up in one of the fluids. Bob
  21. Chris where abouts is your workshop based? if you don,t mind me asking. Sorry, I used my brain and found it on an invoice Bob.
