  1. really sorry to read this and for your loss, Greg. pets are just like other members of the family and are missed just as much. One saving grace, at least it was instant, and their was no suffering. It will be tough for you and your family, and take a while to get over the immediate hurt, but think of the good times and look at the photos and the memories. In time you will all heal the pain, somedays the memories come back, but you then have a feeling of calm when remembering them. I lost my poor cat nearly a year ago, and four months later my father, and still miss them a lot, you won't ever forget the impact they had on your life. once again, sorry for your loss, all the best. ja ne Ian
  2. anything to help out, voted as well. i would like Kaoru from GAEA
  3. cheers once again. i have it kept in my integral garage, so hope it should be ok. looks like their are no 'lumpy bits' in it. Now the weather looks like it will rain today, so have to wait until Thursday Ja ne Ian
  4. oh no, 41 two weeks ago, now i have to go into the 41 - 50 age range, no more feeling young :| ja ne Ian p.s. sometimes i still feel like a 26year old, but never can find one (looks for the 'old guy' emoticon)
  5. cheers guys, i will take it both ways (in a SONAX frame of mind). great to hear it is still ok to use. and helpful knowing i have another couple of goes before it funs out need to get rid of the Sahara Sand thats on the car. nice weather tomorrow, so time for a clean ja ne Ian
  6. Hi, Tomorrow i am hoping to clean the Supra, and today i found some of the SONAX (about half left) from the group buy. Just wondered if it would still be ok to use, it was bought in Dec 2005. Have all 3 parts if it is still safe to use. don't want to cause any paintwork problems. thanks in advance ja ne Ian
  7. 'Scotty' will be in space in 28th April when he gets blasted into orbit. so he really will have boldly gone
  8. lol, and Mel Gibson is a native born US Citizen, and only moved to Australia when he was 12
  9. time for a hi-five yeah, i remember us mentioning it before. it feels good to know you are spreading the faith of Bexhill, far and wide . never know in a year or two i will do the same, thinking of emigrating to Japan, Hong Kong or China. the Supra was outside the block of flats (built by john mowlem), mid way between Devonshire Road and Sea Road. ja ne Ian
  10. wow, spotted this lovely K reg Silver Supra, NA, with really nice number plate style, side skirts and black rear number plate surrounds. stunning car can i count it as 5 Supra's, i drove past it that many times, lol
  11. was watching the first race of the new Super GT series earlier this evening and laughed when the Ford GT crashed. the commentator said, quote "if Jeremy Clarkson was watching this he would be crying"
  12. A few songs: Bread - Baby, i'm a want you Bread - make it with you Don Henley- taking you home Every Little Thing - Time Goes by Every Little Thing - Fragile Max - Isshoni Yes - Wondrous Stories Supertramp - Take the long way home Supertramp - Hide in your shell Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven Led Zeppelin - Battle of Evermore Genesis - Ripples REO Speedwagon - Can't take this feeling anymore (so many to mention actually)
  13. anyone remember the heady days of Unigate and their promotions. September 1975 when i got my 'Hands off Humphrey' mug, and still use it even now memories, memories, the milkshakes, stickers - fun days http://www.stuffwelove.co.uk/humphrey.htm http://www.trp.dundee.ac.uk/images/humphrey/humphrey.html the famous Humphrey song: If you hear a noise with your milk and your roll It must be the 10.30 Humphrey patrol, In slippers with pom-poms for creeping about. Watch out watch out, watch out, watch out, There's a Humphrey about! One hundred Humphrey's soft as silk, Out on the search for your Unigate milk, Get extra pintas or you'll be without. Watch out watch out, watch out, watch out, There's a Humphrey about!
  14. thanks Martin i don't feel any older atm, but that will hit me later on, i guess, lol. hope i can still fit in the Supra.
  15. thanks Charlotte, well it was a strange kind of birthday, being the first one without my father, and the 6 months since he passed away. but it was nice to get together with family and close friends and have a nice time. lots of things to talk about and memories. Hi Darryl, thanks for the Birthday wishes really appreciate that, just a quiet get together last night, would have felt strange celebrating, but plan to do that over the weekend. hmm, wonder what is planned this year, surprises can be fun, but a little worrying, lol. (btw, glad to see you are still in the 'red letters' for your nick ) only downside to this, since they adjusted my handbrake on the Supra, the touch screen sat Nav no longer works, by touch 40 was ok, but being 41 i can't use the 'i am only 40, but thats not much different to being 39 and feel younger' line anymore. no turning back. i do love time zone differences, got a nice message from my HK/Chinese friend in Hong Kong, she is a good friend and stunningly attractive as well, so that made a nice start to today thanks once again both of you, have a nice day Ian
  16. hope you are both having a great time ja ne Ian
  17. can't say it appeals to me, i like a laugh like anyone, but the man isn't even buried/cremated yet. Seeing as the way he died it is not in particularly good taste. would we be laughing if it was someone we knew here that had lost someone. i suppose i notice it more atm, as 2 days ago it was 6 months since my father passed away. ja ne Ian
  18. suit check the link, amazing what you find on the 'net: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gimp_suit
  19. i download so much Japanese, Chinese and Korean TV series and movies, and personally i would not waste the time convert to a VOB. for divx and Xvid, keep files same and you are ok, and they will play on most standalone players anyway. this afternoon i have just burnt 9 DVD of Asian TV doramas, and so this is a regular thing for me, but i would not bother with VOB's check out http://www.vcdhelp.com if you want to convert to a VOB, or do other things. haven't tried it myself, but use that site a lot for other things btw, get hold of Subtitle Workshop that is really useful. i use it for retiming english subs to asian stuff, and sorting out problem subtitles that are not in correct english.
  20. Gomorrised closest to being Gomorrised is Battlestar Galactica taking the name Gomorrah and using for the Cylon base Gamoray. so would Gomorrised mean being attacked by Cylons? read this for a laugh - Cylons and Mormons: Observations on the correlation between Battlestar Galactica and the LDS Church - http://mywebpages.comcast.net/billotto/Mormon_N_BSG.html
  21. that's good, great punchline
  22. hi Ed, Happy birthday old sport. have a good one only 30 eh, not bad, wait till you hit 40, life gets crazier
  23. both MSN and Windows Messenger are dead here as well.
  24. brilliant, best thing i have read in a while
  25. swearing on forum, well i thought we were here because we all like a nice *** **- *--* *-* *- . i guess others like using asterisks so thought i would join in at times it is ok, but i have seem some fairly excessive runs of anglo-saxon. txt spk i would kill off in an instant, though. As Charlotte said, not everyone uses English as their first language, how many of us bother to learn when we go abroad. I have noticed thread topics though recently some titled 'B*llocks', we all know what the word is, but it is not good for people visiting forum and thinking of becoming a member. in private forum sections then i don't see a problem, in moderation.
