  2. Hi, not sure on the costs of a handbrake leather, but i did have a thread going about costs of replacing both a handbrake and auto gear lever leather as mine were scuffed and pitted. thread - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=125841 Their is information there which may help you. Looks like it can cost around 75GBP to recover both auto lever and handbrake, from the info TNT gave. Nic can supply complete handbrakes at a good price (62GBP inc postage), i would have got one but managed to buy one from Nicholas (Miami) on forum. funnily enough the handbrake i got was original from Nic anyway. lol Another thing, on my handbrake, like others, i have the shiny handbrake grip covering and never liked it. The handbrake Nic supplies has the nicer matching leather. ja ne Ian (p.s. can't believe i actually answered a question in Supra Chat, rare for me, lol. normally Off Topic for the most part)
  3. hi, any further news on the auto surround, as i still need one of these that is not scratched cheers Ian

I had TEIN Superstreets & EDFC fitted two weeks ago, and for the most part i find them perfect. It's only on the bad roads you notice the bumps, where they have a hard time coping, but even then my old vauxhall carlton felt them too, but not as bad as the Supra. I run on 19s and for the most part it's ok, but if i was doing it again maybe i would go for 18s. If i was closer to Interpro i would go there if i needed geometry work done next time. Thats where i got the SS and EDFC from. Have had a full geometry setup after the SS install and car does drive much nicer and feels like on rails and goes exactly where you want it to. ja ne Ian
  5. I call mine Kaori (香織), or Mocchi (もっちー) nice and easy to remember as she is a singer in one of my favourite Japanese bands, and it being a Japanese car as well, lol May change it soon to be either Yuri (Masuda, 益田祐里) from M.O.V.E an awesome techno/trance/rock band, or Keiko (Yamada 山田 圭子) from my other fave Trance/Techno/Rock group One day i must play non Japanese Cd's in it when driving, but like seeing the expressions of people when you drive past ja ne Ian
  6. i need to get it painted anyways as i am going to have a silver/gunmetal dash respray when i have my blue dash done. I am more interested to know if it has any scratches or dents. My current auto surround is in a bad way and needs replacing. So really all that i need to know is the actual condition of the auto surround, if it is unmarked apart from needing painting then i am interested for sure. I wont be around again until tomorrow morning, so take a chance it is still available then. cheers Ian
  7. would you sell the auto gear surround separately, i don't need the other panels, only this one. If so, i guess it wont be much if the whole set is 35GBP? Don't think it fair to take all the panels when someone else may need them. Also do you have a photo of it, i need one in mint condition as mine is scratched. I may be interested in it on its own. ja ne Ian

  9. arigato gozaimasu "Gaia no Yoake" - The Dawn of the Gaia? great title for a TV Show Really do appreciate the programme information and both Japanese and Romaji titles. All i need now is a Japanese wife, i have the Japanese car, the interest in the culture, and like their TV more than western TV, lol, and normally only watch Japanese movies. I am going to look on the Japanese language sites for this documentary to download. If anyone wants to see it apparently it is on Veoh - "Online Video: Gaia no Yoake Nissan GT-R | Veoh Video Network Gaia no Yoake Nissan GT-R. ... Gaia no Yoake Nissan GT-R. 10. Had the car back since last week, and have the EDFC installed atm between the drivers seat and centre console. When i get my car worked on for the dash conversion maybe will think of having it installed in the dash somewhere, liking the looks of the install Tee from China has. Wondering if their is enough space in the right hand side of the dash to install both EDFC and RLTC(if i ever needed it), as well as space for switches for front fog lamps. I find EDFC is a good addition to my setup. ja ne Ian

    Usa/uk Slr Help

Everything should be ok, as only thing that is directly connected to the mains in the battery charger. So you will need a UK Charging unit. I would imagine same for all DSLRs, but Nikon recommends not letting batteries discharge completely. You get better life from each if you recharge them frequently, ideally at the end of each day if you take lots of frames. Normally i recharge at around 60 - 70%. When i go to China i am taking my D200 and only need to get a Charging unit compatible with Chinese mains. ja ne Ian
  12. As i was loading the shopping from Tesco into my Supra at Ravenside, spotted a Red Supra going around the Glyne Gap Roundabout in Hastings direction. Looked like their were two people in the car. Not sure the time, as i forgot to reset my clock in the Supra so was showing about 3PM. but must have been around 10.30AM ja ne Ian
  13. Hi Nick, Sent you a PM and Just paid for the handbrake on Paypal, thanks for giving me first refusal cheers Ian
  14. Thanks Nick, just sent you a PM and will definitely have the Handbrake, been after one of these urgently cheers Ian
  15. Hi, would definitely be interested in the Handbrake, what shipping charges would there be, and do you take Paypal? Will it fit a 1993 JSpec Supra? if you can get back to me, thanks can you hold onto this item, i have to go out now until about 5PM to collect the Supra from having the new suspension fitted, thanks ja ne Ian
  16. They are really nice wheels, i have them on my Supra in 19s. when you see them for real, they look even better, not too over the top, but still a nice design Who ever gets these ,will get some good looking wheels
  17. Ohayo, Interesting reading your forum post Would you happen to know the documentary title in Japanese, i can search it on the Japanese language sources to download. They are normally quick at uploading things. Can't imagine they will show it here, so online is only option. Really like watching Fuji TV they make some of the best doramas in Japan They were talking about the GTR on the Super GT commentary, said it will be the car Nissan will be running in the competition next year. Be interesting to see how it compares on the track against the SC430 oh well time for breakfast, ja ne, minna-san Ian
  18. This last week my insurance was up for renewal, and talked with Daniel on the phone, was very helpful. I said i needed a day or two as i did not know situation on my car. Scott then rang me and i renewed there and then. My quote came in less than 600GBP so very happy. The 600GPB figure included both Agreed Value and the Breakdown cover as well, so it is another year of no more worries Always good to deal with people who care and are friendly and courteous when talking cheers ja ne Ian
  19. just been wondering if going for the grey interior trim as in the NZ supra, if i can still go for the graphite/ gunmetal dash or if i have to keep it a silver/grey based dash. Don't want it to clash.
  20. It is good to have a feeling of not having to worry about anything. That you can just leave your car and let them get on with it. Many people and businesses seem to charge way too much these days, but it is great to go to someone who gives advice and tells you the costs of certain things and how long they will take in advance, so you don't get nasty shocks. ja ne Ian
  21. Hi, I had to write a quick forum post to thank everyone who recently helped me over choosing the TEIN SS and EDFC, and my current questions on the Interior Dash colour and trims. Really do appreciate all the time anyone has taken, and proves that this is a great place to be among people with a common interest in a great car I know there will be more questions in the future, lol. just wish i was more technically minded to help others in return. This is the first time in many months i actually feel an enjoyment driving the Supra again. cheers everyone, and hope to get to a few meets when they are on again ja ne Ian
