It is a completely different insurance market here in the UK sadly. It is not so much the horses under the bonnet as the perceived risks to either the car being stolen, going wrong, causing an accident, hitting an expensive car, causing legal/liable damage to third parties, car desirability, insert fudge factor N that the insurance companies think of! Horses under the bonnet tend to put restrictions on age and experience of driver rather than policy amount and what it covers. In Iceland you have less than 600k people, total? Is that right (last count) (I used to date a girl from Iceland ) - Here in greater London alone you tend to get in excess of 9million folks - so the markets can't really be equated
