  1. Rated P for pointless... (watched it on the plane back from Dubai last week). I do like Sandra Bullock though
  2. My condolences, always sad to hear of the passing of a loved one Sounds like he lived life as he wanted to! Keep those good memories, and celebrate his life! I most assuredly will tilt a beverage in respect if you don't mind All the best!
  3. Few years left in the old girl yet Don't despair
  4. To be honest, I am not entirely sure if they do make a huge difference - people selling them always claim they do the business though funnily enough . I have never fitted one, but thought it may be of use for a "belt and braces" approach. Maybe if anybody on here has one fitted can say one way or the other, I would be sold
  5. Brake stopper - or brake (master) cylinder stopper is a bracket for preventing your master cylinder from moving when braking pressure is applied to the pedal. e.g. : One on eBay
  6. Several things contributed to my brakes going this way on my NA, all happened over a short period of time as a cascade. 1. Sticky/seizing calipers causing rapid and uneven pad wearing. 2. Brake master cylinder seal went. 3. Hoses lost their elsticity, causing them to expand a lot more before transferring the braking force to the pistons. I had to refurbish the front calipers using a refurb kit from Toyota. Replaced the pads after they were fooked by a sticking caliper. Replaced the brake master cylinder. Replaced the hoses with braided Goodridge ones. That with a good fluid transforms the brakes! You could also consider fitting a break stopper to improve the positive feeling on the pedal. (I didn't bother).
  7. Reads as though they are saying you should have paid more for delivery option to insure the item. They also seem to be claiming that they have some for of recorded delivery receipt. Not sure what they are on about, how much was the item worth? Talking some weirdness about £30 - *if* it was sent Royal mail standard parcel rates, it will not have been recorded for delivery, but they will have had a receipt of goods sent at the post office if they requested it - but with that they will still be able to claim up to £100 for goods lost (although I am not sure how long that takes to sort out). The rest is sort of a lament on - what am I supposed to do about a parcel that goes missing with the Royal mail? Essentially I think they are alluding to they are not happy as they have posted it and have a receipt of posting, and will be unlikely to help you much further. Not really in the spirit of things, and also the most awful use of language I have ever seen
  8. I didn't pay 70 notes for mine ... sure I payed something along the lines of 60 notes max (they appeared to have two batteries on the shelf labelled HCB005 one at 70 and one at 60 - there was no discernable difference). I will check my receipt tomorrow (kept it for the 4 year guarantee). Bosch silver tops I believe are excellent batetries and come it at about 45 notes (not sure of the exact version though).
  9. Interested in 264 inlet (new) £200.00 264 exhaust (new) £200.00 PM'd Cheers, Si.

    Kittens!!!

Gotta love those little furry bundles of fun! Very sharp claws, sharp teeth and a burning desire to climb everything! (including you). Don't worry the scars will fade For some invaluable advise on cat ownership, see: HERE!
  11. Interesting, the pin outs for the 30-1101 and 30-1100 are identical except for the VSV pinouts (38-40B) are marked unused on the 30-1101 - although they aren't used in a single install anyway - but I think the killer difference seems to be the lack of igniter coil (52-57B) pins - which are also marked as unused on the 30-1101. Now does this mean that the 30-1101 would be useless if you converted your NA-T to digital ignition? Anyone know if it would be a software flash update to make these live or are they hard-wired that way? I am still waiting for my AEM forum activation email to be able to get in, I think our works spam filter is being an ass and holding on to it grrr. I will be asking them these questions there then, although any input from AEM'sters would be nice. I will post my findings just in the slight chance that someone may ask the same question again in the future
  12. HCB005 works perfectly fine for most people, me included. 4 year guarantee on them too
  13. Is the car cooling ok? Ticking while air-con is on is not unheard of, mine made some mad ticking noises when it needed re-gasing (compressor kicking in and out in a frantic fashion as there was no gas in the system to compress or something along those lines).
  14. Been there once, looked around the shops (it was a nice day though ) - very pleasant little place No idea on night life etc though.
  15. Exceptional price compared to this gem eBay clifford 600 concept + intellistart (made from pure platinum no doubt) lol. p.s. free bump pps... that isn't you is it? hehe
  16. That sounds like what happened when my brake master cylinder went.
  17. AEM were my next logical stop - but the last time I asked anything of them I think it went into a black hole heh
  18. Hiya, Since I am currently selling an AEM NA specific model EMS I have been asked on a few occasions if it was possible to use it with a TT. I assume as the ecu looms/connections are different that it either 1. it simply will not work as it is too different or 2. it could work if you knew how to adapt the plugs/wiring. Even with option 2, I am not sure anybody would be comfortable with "bodgering" an adapter together.. just a shot in the dark if anybody is clued up enough to know any possibilities. Thanks for any input (humorous or technical ). Cheers, Si.
  19. Looking at the top of the injectors they all have the following around the collar: 1001-87091 4F15 Not sure if that is of any use - I was *assured* they were 720's. If you get them tested and they are all to fook, I will gladly refund/take them back Amigo
  20. ***SOLD*** ^As above, brand new unused & boxed with all bits AEM ECU, 3.5bar MAP and AIT sensors. Previously no interest, re-listing. I was sure there were a few guys thinking of going NA-T (this is what this setup was originally for) - c'mon this is a "cutting me own throat" kind of deal here. Cheers, Simon.
  21. ** SOLD ** 6 x 720cc SARD side feed injectors up for grabs sat in an OEM fuel rail. These came off a running car, I am unsure as to mileage on them though. They will need flow testing and there is a rubber ring missing (sneaky little beggar made good its escape). £165 o.n.o - pick up preferred but postage can be worked out. http://waptech.ist.co.uk/o_pics/rail1.jpg http://waptech.ist.co.uk/o_pics/rail2.jpg http://waptech.ist.co.uk/o_pics/rail3.jpg
  22. I have some side feed 720 Sards already in a fuel rail which I was going to use in my own NA-T conversion (no longer doing due to other plans). PM me if you are interested mate
