  1. cant wait!! ;-) what alloys you got? you had any blending or mods done on the kit?? facelift lights??
  2. Hi Homer are there any more spaces available and if so when do you need the confirmation by?? My work is really up in the air......literally.......and i wont really know if im off till maybe the day before. Would really like to come though. Ben
  3. pretty much exactly the same as mine superash......
  4. I know there have been a few questions asked in the past on the actual weight of the supra!! Well I visited tDI a couple of days ago to get a full geometry check and alignment done on my car. Good news is it couldnt be any straighter which is comforting to know from a car thats 10years old. It weighed in at a pretty modest 1551.5kg too. Doesnt seem too heavy really. My car had a 3/4 tank of fuel, and a nice heavy sub in the boot. Ben.
  5. thanks guys Ian could you send me a pm with your contact details so i can talk to you about getting the emu etc. Ben.
  6. So can a fuel pressure regulator be used instead of getting a set of injectors?? im thinking an fpr is the cheaper option, but is it just as effective? .........for example if more fuel was needed after upgrading the cams
  7. I agree, dyno says just under 400bhp
  8. Ian C, id like to have a chat with you about the emu etc, i did speak to Nic about prices and he said to contact you regarding mapping. Could you possibly pm me your number and ill give you a shout over the next week. Thanks, ben.
  9. Was thinking of running 1.2 bar tDR. Maybe it would just be a safer bet to get the emu as i cant f';@ck anthing up this way.......i think it'll be a bit cheaper aswell once all the various bits are taken into account.
  10. tDR I really like the sounds of the map 2 ecu......the only thing putting me off is the lack of tunners used to this device and therefore tunning would be down to myself. Hopefully i could ask for your advice if it comes to this. Also Where can i get a map ecu 2 for £300, cant see it this cheap only £350 with mvp. then id also need to buy a wiring harness which is another £200. The emu with harness is $430 as far as i can see.
  11. wow thanks guys, alot to think about!! gonna take some time to read over this and make sure i understand fully before making a decision on which way to go........its a shame that more people arent more familiar with the map 2 ecu cause it would be an interesting alternative to the emu.
  12. ok i see......So do u have any opinions on the map 2 ecu vs emu Ian?
  13. it has a built in 3.5 bar MAP sensor, is this considered narrowband??
  14. excellent.........am i right in thinking the 'phr map 2 ecu' will do the job of a wideband sensor too: ''The MAP-ECU2 replaces voltage and frequency based air flow meters with Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) based load sensing (Speed Density). Voltage types include the spring door flap and hot wire types used by numerous manufactures. Frequency based units are commonly known as Karman Vortex Frequency air flow meter as used by Mitsubishi™ or DSM vehicles and some other manufacturers.'' ''This MAP-ECU2 combines the functionality of other manufacturers Air Flow Converters and Vane to Pressure Converters into the one unit, plus more''
  15. thanks dandan sounds good. was thinking of getting the emanage first to get the car running as efficiently as possible and gaining some power....maybe cams further down the line. then i can look at injectors or a fpr if required.
  16. dandan missed your post there!! that makes things a little clearer to a tech retard like myself.......doesnt the emanage ultimate allow for inbuilt wideband sensing?? therefore no need for a wideband lambada sensor
  17. So am i right in thinking there are various opinions on this?? Trick Ricky it sounds like it would be fine running 440 injectors on jspec tubbies at 1.2 bar from what you say, and i would still possibly need to lean the mixture with something like emanage. Is general opinion that its just 'safer' to go for 550s too. Can you actually read the AFRs and duty cycle when using an emanage emu to make sure everything is within limits and the injectors arent over worked
  18. so what is the conclusion on the need for bigger injectors with this set up then guys? From what i understand the emanage is used to lean the mixture and give more power so why add bigger injectors and add more fuel? I'm looking at possibly buying a piggy back like the emanage or map ecu2 and 264 cams but would u recommend bigger injectors too? My car is jspec bpu manual. Ben
  19. Well the blitz rx seems alot quieter than the hks silent high power on a TT so id assume it would be alot quieter on an NA too. I think you'll struggle to find a clip on an NA, think im possibly the first and only person so far to try one.
  20. TDR how do you manage to get such high terminals and 1/4mile times on a BPU?? are the tubbies standard? This is similiar in performance to a 600bhp supra!! The next best BPU times after you are around 12.88 and 113mph.
  21. looks like mine mate, 6no..... also refered to as gunmetal
  22. Guys can we lay off the personal critism. Its uncomfortable as a fellow member to read character bashing as this isnt the idea of the forum and a bit low to be honest. We are all here to enjoy our supra ownership and help each other out..........can we leave the personal attacks and keep things factual and constructive.
  23. wallace where did u take the car to get this done in the end?? i was thinking of taking mine to wheels in motion in thurrock to get the car running like a dream as i have 19'' alloys and its never been done. Ben
