Hi mate, I also had the ETTC mod done recently when fitting an emanage. I switch between the two when i feel like a change and I love the TTC. The only reason i dont leave it in this mode constantly is due to the fact my car is mapped for sequential operation. I prefer TTC...... with sequential i would get both turbos online and full boost around 3800-4000rpm. With TTC both seem to be online and fully boosting at around 3300-3500rpm. Most sequential fans will say you'll have too much lag with TTC but with both turbos on song 500rpm earlier you also have much more power earlier. It definately is a better mod with a manual car cause that way you can be much more selective with the gears, rpm and therefore keep your car in the power band. I would be concerned running the TTC for a long time with the standard ecu as the fuelling will be all over the shop. If i were you i would do the quick TTC mod which takes no more than five mins, if you like it then i would get some form of fuel control and map it that way and release even more power. You car will boost higher with TTC, it added about 0.15 bar when i switch to TTC therefore be careful you dont over boost. If you are set at 1.1bar now you will see over 1.2bar with the TTC mod. You'll find that you wont feel the thump of the second turbo as you do in sequential but it will be a more progressive surge of power when the turbos come in. This may not give you the same feeling of urgent acceleration, although it is just as fast, but in my opinion it makes the car much more drivable especially if your bpu and in the wet. Have you checked out Cheekymonkeys dyno plots comparing the two modes?? These results speak for themselves and show what gains you can get when TTC is mapped properly. I will be getting mine mapped for TTC so i can keep mine in that mode. Ben

Hi all, Looking for to borrow a set of 650cc injectors that are known to be in good working order. I am happy to pay for the use of these and would only need them for a week. Im having issues with my fuelling and id like to replace my current injectors to see if that isolates the problem. If you have a set for sale then i may also be interested. Thanks, Ben.

I was just looking for some very cheap stock fronts and maybe rears but they need to fit over uk brakes.

do these fit over uk brakes terry?

the above increases i've talked about are a fair comparison of a mapped sequential against a mapped true twin and not only that but its exactly the same care on consecative runs. cheekymonkeys mapped ttc gained almost 20bhp over his mapped sequential.
-
We keep saying that True Twin mode doesnt gain anymore power but those that have done this mod 'and' had it fully mapped have gained power. look at Cheekymonkeys dyno for example. he did a back to back comparison and gained about 20bhp top end! Ryan stated that in true twin egt's were lower and the injector duty was much higher therefore true twin flows alot more air. Maybe there are no real power gains with the standard ecu but when it is mapped by a decent mapper you can gain more power as cheekymonkey has shown. 425 bhp on standard tubbies in true twin sounds pretty damn good to me. Also I appreciate what your saying Chris about leave it the way toyota intended but as soon as you become BPU and are running around 1.2 bar the car loses its drivability by having a very sudden busrt of power at transition. This is shocking on damp roads and i think this is why some poeple like the True twin mod on thier BPU cars. The car is more laggy but become much more drivable at higher boost settings and as several dynos show it also provides for more power from 3800rpm and up.

This website claims they gained 24bhp on a bpu car with a blitz SUS power induction kit: http://www.importtuner.com/powerpages/0111it_1997_toyota_supra/index.html The other claims look sensible so why do we keep claiming stock in best? has anyone done any direct comparisons that we know of? supra forums in the US dont seem to be as dismissive of aftermarket filters as we are so have we got it wrong? they claim the stock box is reasonably restrictive. p.s I appreciate ducting is important and on the stabdard box filter this feed is going to be cold but as long as this is done well on the aftermarket kit wont gains be made?

forgot to mention it sits nice and snug to the car so now grounding

i think you need to decide what your priority is.......noise level or performance. I currently have the rx and its just what i wanted. It also sounds raspy at wot. the hks is not that quiet to be honest. the blitz rx is very quiet especially on the motorway, with no drone at all. http://media.putfile.com/nur-spec-RX-long-clip the 2 or 3 people who have bought the rx like myself have had to up the duty on their boost contollers in order to maitain the 1.2 bar. So if you want this exhaust and dont have a boost controller you'll have to do with 1 bar or less. Ben

I might be going on the 10th or 17th. My mates just bought a 650kg kit car with a nice v8 in it so he wants a run or two. It looks a bit like a caterham

just bought some jun cams for my bpu.....they are 256/264 but they are higher lift than the hks cams.......would be interesting to see how they differ if at all. hks 256= 8.7mm Jun 256= 9.3mm hks264=9.0mm jun264=9.3mm The price was very similar to the hks through nic and the availability was much better on the jun cams. Just another possibility John. Ben

I agree Si, lovely exhaust especially if you dont like droney motorway driving and want to remain on talking terms with your neighbours!!

a chip was missing from the unit......apparently it can be damaged pretty easily when the casing is taken on and off. Basically it was showing ignition fault codes going back a year or so and now the ignition cycle cant be changed.

Tell me about it Kieren. It was a private purchase so no names.......im sure it'll be sorted!! the guy seems reasonable. ill keep my fingers crossed and keep an eye out for a new one.

Hi all, I just bought a second hand emanage ultimate that doesnt work!! a little gutted but now im looking for one that works. thanks, ben

I get the impression most people think the captain flies and the first officer reads the newspaper. This is partly true;) But its normal practice in every airline for each pilot to take it in turns........i.e they decide between them at the beginning of the day that the first officer will take the plane to the destination and the captain will fly it back to base or vice versa. Things are a little more complicated in BA but basically it looks as though it was the First officers sector back from beijing. As he was in control and the incident happened so close to the ground it was probably easiest and safest for him to remain in control and land it.
-
Auto throttle would definately have been on wayne. Its armed before flight and remains on till it automatically disengages on landing. If it had of disconnected in flight there would have been a visual and oral warning. It also wouldnt explain why there was no affect from manual imputs

Really dont know supra pilot.......time will tell.

I'm thinking maybe it was a flying pig that took an engine out!
