  1. Yeah mark its identical to the nur spec R and still has the engraving on the tail pipe. Difference being the noise level at idle and low revs and the fact it sits much closer to the underside of the car. As for you private pile........zip it or you wont be invited around for tea and biscuits ever again. Expecially when your supra has a new ´louder exhaust´. My neighbours will be dilighted!!!
  2. £485 inc vat. not bad considering they are £495 exc vat everywhere else. Give Terry S a shout........although i do think i had his last one......might have to wait a while
  3. supraPL longer clip as promised http://media.putfile.com/nur-spec-RX-long-clip
  4. from inside it cant really be heard at idle........from the outside there is a very faint burble. The last two seconds of the sound clip are with the car at idle....ill try and get a longer clip later suprapl.........ill pm the price
  5. It really is excellent gaz, i was looking at 3 'quiet' exhausts..............didnt like the design of the tanabe medallion touring and the HKS silent high power is still LOUD in lots of peoples' opinions.
  6. I've been looking for a quiet exhaust for a little while now and finally decided to get this one as its quoted at 91db. I was a little concerned as no one at all seems to have tried it yet, and it looks like im the first. Got it from Terry S for a great price and i must admit im more than impressed. This exhaust is excellent for anyone that wants a quiet exhaust. It really cant be heard from inside at idle and low revs........there is no motorway drone at all and its a total sleeper till around 4-5000rpm when it comes alive and produces a lovely agressive tone. Sound clip below.........notice how quiet it is at the end of the clip at idle. http://media.putfile.com/nur-spec-RX-sound-clip This also fitted my trial rear perfectly and sits nice and snug to the car unlike the nur spec R.
  7. Well it was boosting to 1.2 with the old exhaust on...........with the new one 1.1 max...............ive now changed the settings on the boost controller (uped the duty) and increased (start duty) in the first three gears to maintain a constant 1.2 in every gear. Does this sound right? should i be aiming for 1.2 bar in all gears including 1st? cause it used to peak at 0.8 bar in first with the old exhaust.
  8. Hi all, Im wondering if by changing the exhaust on my car i will also need to change the AVCr boost controller settings to keep the boost at the same level it was before. For example, if the exhaust is more free flowing hence less back pressure will there be a drop in boost with the current boost controller settings?? Ben.
  9. thanks for the help....im sure there are some trial owners out there with the nur spec. I guess this would be considered an 'angled exhaust'and therefore might need some modding too.
  10. Hi guys and gals, Im sure there are plenty of you guys out there that are using a Nur spec and i really need to know if it fits a trial or if i need to get some modding done. thanks guys.....
  11. thats the problem i have..........i want a new quiet exhaust but have a trial rear. Its very hard to get info on what will fit. Any ideas?? and how quiet is the HKS silent how power compared to other exhausts??
  12. Nic, you have a pm regarding exhuasts........especially the greddy TiR..........could you please send me a price. Thanks. As CW says the Tanabe medallion touring is very quiet.......do a search on here cause there is a sound clip of it in action
  13. but he'll never see the money back if he does an engine swap...i would assume he´d struggle to sell a car if its registered as a NA and has a TT engine.........might put the majority of people off. If he pays a small amount extra and actually buys a TT and looks after it, he might not lose any money at all when it comes to seeling it on in the future. You never want to be left with a car you´ll struggle to sell or have to sell for a ridiculously low price. The TT is gonna be more expensive to run but as everyone else has already said.....you definately wont regret it......

  20. sorry for not checking up on your replies guys........i had been pm'ing people about them and didnt think about checking this thread. I currently have an offer on these so unless this falls through they are as good as sold. sorry
  21. takes a fair bit of fiddling and building up this bumper with extra fibreglass sheets in order to fit your car nicely.......just had it done myself with a whifbitz replica. GVN being the dogs goolies will do this all for you id guess and it will look just as good as an origional. The orinional will probably be thicker fibreglass than any replica you buy and therefore better wearing but its gonna be more expensive. Was that price you got from envy including shipping cause thats an extra cost youll have to pay in order to get an origional. Mine now looks spot on......
