Thats intersting... I will get it to a garage some time soon and have it pulled apart. Yes and no, I have been losing 3rd gear for quite a while now but when it went, it gave no warning. I changed from 1st to 2nd mid slide and it just let go.

Thankfully I wasnt far from home so I managed to reverse all the way home. The vid is showing the noise being made when you lift the clutch to drive off......BRILLIANT. BTW - If you are selling a 6 speed box, I am now in the market. P.S - Does it sound like gearbox? I cant think what else it would be seing as I am able to reverse. Note that the rattling is the clutch and has always been like that. HKS twin plate. EDIT: FOR ANYONE WITH SIMILAR SYMPTOMS, THIS TURNED OUT TO BE THE DIFF

They are fine. I was caught doing 183kph on the phone in France and got a 90euro fine and got caught in holland with with PIG number plates on and didn't get anything, a quick blag and PIG plate removal and all was fine. Don't mess with z Germans though

I have a place locally that I may speak to as they seem good. (only looking for partial) then I might ask you to have a look homer. Missed gears....up or down? I have had loads of both I'll also have a look out for a second hand one...2 & 4k are both out of my budget at the mo as I have just renewed all my single parts and exhaust etc.

When it started going wrong, I knew that I would have to get involved with bull shit getting hold of one of these gear boxes. It wasn't that fact that the car was breaking or the cost, just can't be bothered with the hunting. My tech knowledge is rubbish, is it simple to replace a syncro if that's all that wrong? As at the moment I still have all gears, what went when you did your gear box Jamie?

As soon as it became silly mods my mrs hated mine. Now I am a little more sedate with quite exhaust, plumbed in waste gates and nice light twin plate I'm hoping she will be fine. She only drives it to get it cleaned for me though

It's been coming for a little while but 3rd gear is now done and dusted. When racing I can't change up without lots of grinding and I can't get it in at all going down (just grinds). Driving normally, you wouldn't know anything was wrongs with it. Please can I request you EXPERIENCED advice. P.s my budget will not stretch to a new one at 6k + Thanks Jon

Still a few of us about. I often wonder how some of the old 'gang' are. Doug (Class one), Paul (dragonball), Dom (suprapilot), Mark (supragold) and plenty that I can't remember the user name for at the moment.
