If you keep getting the keyboard error press F8 repeatedly at start up to get into bios and there will be an option in the boot settings listed as 'halt on' set it to halt on no errors and it will boot first time regardless of keyboard.

I take it your recating for the mot.... get new gaskets and tighten just enough to get a seal, then you can use them again.

Well an update. Having changed the water temp sensor I can now say, it wasn't that at fault. What now.... The car starts to come to life pretty much as soon as the water temp needle rises out of the negative. Suggestions?

Replace the fuse and try the car again with the horn and heating but not the central locking, if it doesn't blow you know it's your central locking..... Process of illimination.
