I went to Thor today, was there all day, really nice people.
Before anyone asks, no time for dyno run.
Peter took it out for a run, when I got there and says it pulls really well from the off, with less hesitation than a lot he's driven.
Since I went there to find out why it was lazy from cold, this wasn't what I wanted to hear....
Anyway, they left it for four hours or so, so it could cool down. Then they set about checking tps, ecu..... Tightened throttle cable as it was very loose and tps was a dog hair off, so adjusted that.
My speed converter according to Peter was wired wrong, so there was some rewiring done behind the dash and the harness to my ecu wasn't very tight.
Peter took it out after this when it had cooled down thoroughly on return his findings were........ Nothing wrong with it!
Hopefully that means they fixed it with there work and not that it was putting on a good face, just for them.
On a plus note, I found out why I never had to fit a fuel cut defender, when I opened up the exhaust. A previous owner kindly fitted a Mines ecu.
Only time will tell if it's fixed
Ps. I met Sam who bought the v8 while I was there, really nice lady. DaphneHoneybutt, to the forum..... I suppose the name is a fair shout.
Really sweet boot install and I love the head unit.
Sorry I didn't introduce myself properly, I was busy fighting hyperthermia, dam it was cold!
