"So far it is not possible to connect the MIO to a PC via ActiveSync as you would do with other WindowsCE devices. This means that to install programs, you will have to copy (installation .cab or .exe executable) on an SD card before launching them via the File Explorer of the Mio" Do you have an SD card and USB card reader for your PC? You may be able to install stuff that way.

The CD's got Outlook 2002 and ActiveSync on it. There are also some extras like MS Games, AvantGo etc. I just installed ActiveSync 3.7.1 from the CD on the PC as the 168 came pre-installed (all except for TomTom 5 ) Have you checked the MS PocketPC download site? Just looked and found this: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/downloads/activesync38.mspx v3.7.1 is also there somewhere. If you're still stuck, PM me your address.

I got the best of both worlds after we moved here a few years ago - Sky TV and NTL phone line (ie, 2Mb cable modem) Love the download speed, hate NTL!

Non-HDTV aren't worthless - yet. But we don't have HDTV yet... Sky are due to start HDTV broadcasts next year. Lets reserve the quality debates until then (and all the peeps without HDTV sets suddenly realise what they're missing )

I keep getting BT phoning me asking me if I want broadband at work. I'm getting real pissed off with telling them that I've had it for the last 3 years - and it's with BT! Talking about bad customer service - we're a Gold Customer 'cos I've installed 3 x ISDN30 circuits and 2M Broadband at Head Office and have another 15 sites country-wide each with ADSL or ISDN as well as extra lines. Despite this, BT will STILL only guarantee a fix within 4 working days. (They also have no plans to install SDSL in our area, so I've now installed a 2m leased line from Clara as well.) They offered an upgrade to Platinum for an extra exorbitant amount per year. I asked them what benefits it gave - "we'll also cover Bank Holidays as working days." WTF use is that to a business that's closed over Bank Holidays???
