  1. Or maybe not: "According to Lynn, ISS was working with Cisco to assess its products when the bug was found. The hole was discovered by reverse-engineering the IOS code. Lynn said he had approval for his talk from both ISS and Cisco until last Friday, when the two companies suddenly changed their minds and threatened to sue him and conference organizers if he went through with his presentation."
  2. "No testpilots or timewasters". No callers either at that price...
  3. My boot box is as yet empty (and yeah, I got the wing mirrors too)
  4. Ditto - I fear I may have the same sort of vibration. A light but high frequency druming coming from the rear at about 80+. I'm going to get the rear wheels rebalanced before I get too worried.
  5. Nope, the rear wing markers are just red reflectors on mine. They are front bumper side markers and they have the fixing pins inside as described above. Come complete with amber bulbs and replace the lights arrowed in the first post Here The box is actually marked "Celic 2000 side lamp", and as they are just the right size I thought I'd give them a go. As I said though, my existing orange markers aren't actually wired up.
  6. If anyone wants a pair of these they can have mine for £20 incl postage. I bought them only to find that my bumper repeaters aren't even wired up. A shame, as they'd look the D's B's with Silvatec bulbs in... (Does anyone know how to link to an attachment that has already been used in a previous post? Would be handy and save re-uploading pics.)

    hello

Hi Chris, from another "Poole-ite" (with a TT).

    Gumball

Damn good idea this. I've voted for the dates i know I will be around but may be able to fit in with other dates for the Western half at short notice depending on family birthday get-togethers. It'd be good to meet some of you lot, so I'll keep an eye open on this thread and hopefully join in if at all possible.
  9. I always used to use Mobil1 0W40 fully synth in my MX6 on recommendation by almost everyone on the MX6 site. I could not get rid of the HLA tapping, no matter how many flushes and oil changes I did. And it smoked like a chimney on startup. Sold the MX6 when I upped to the Supra and found out last weekend that the new owner carried out 1 oil and filter change using a heavier Castrol semi-synth. The HLA noise went within 5 miles and the smoking has stopped. So yes - changing the oil type does make a difference. And as it can make such a difference to the oil burning and engine noise I wouldn't be at all surprised if it also leads to better fuel consumption. Cheers
  10. Same here - I've learned to live with it. 50 too
  11. Regal AutoSports, Malvern Rd. But they're shortly moving by the looks of it: http://www.regal-shop.co.uk/ Unfortunately, they're a Vauxhall shop - but they're OK at shootout type rolling road days.
  12. The only one I know of round my way is at Regal in Southampton. Anyone know any better?
  13. A bit too close to me for comfort Shovels. Could you PM the place so I know where to avoid? Cheers
  14. Nice find Tim - we may need that. If you get a NIP through and it was for 2 weekends ago it wasn't me, honest! Lin's on my insurance and I let her have a drive to get used to it. She went past "the van" at about 80 on the Upton bypass... LOL - that'll teach her - she's always telling me I drive too fast.
  15. Ditto here Salvatore - except I shan't be partying quite so hard - it's my big Five-Oh...
  16. Saw my first 2 Supras since taking ownership about a month ago. The first was a silver one cruising along Ashley Rd in Parkstone at about 9pm last night. I was in a restaurant. And today I was just pulling into our washdown in Ebblake, Verwood and there was a nice white one with 2 young guys in pulling out. Said "Hi" in passing. Wasn't you was it WSB2?
  17. Supras must still be cool: I had a guy in a brand new Carrera 4 pass me on the M25 the other day. He deliberately slowed down and pulled back alongside me just so he could give me the thumbs-up. Then he pulled away again - slowly.
  18. Phew, that's a relief. Thanks guys.
  19. I've just bought these to fit instead of the amber facelift ones. Can anyone tell me how to get the stock ones off? Please tell me I don't have to remove the bumper.
  20. I just fitted one thats 330mm wide - it overlaps the hole just enough to cover it. Unfortunately I only got it 170mm high, so I've got a gap at the top... Luckily it doesn't show unless you're looking very hard. So, the full answer is that a plate 330mm x 175 should do the trick nicely Fancy plate(s) : Back plate only Registration : R651 xxx Font : Standard UK, Shadow : normal Border : Border 3, Black Bottom text : http://www.mkivsupra.net Logo : Miscellaneous, No logo Back : 330mm x 170mm Honeycombe : no Both white : no Slant : no Comments : Fit reg'n on 2 lines please Price : £13.50
  21. Lets hope they don't do what they did at Tower Park - they replaced the 4 star with more DIESEL!!! The counter guy at Branksome says the 99 is going well there, so things are looking positive.

    I'm burning!

Well burnt here too. Spent all day yesterday and most of today doing an engine swap on my mates MX6's. 2 engines out, gearboxes swapped and the good engine back in the good car - all before lunchtime today. But god am I aching now...
  23. Cheers for that Tim. (And I saw the speedo pic on your website, so you've definitely driven it faster than I will. ) PS. Watched your "Nur or Bust" videos too. But it looks to me that the stretch where you hit 167 was more like the motorway near Gent rather than inside Germany. Am I right?
  24. There must have been a rerason for that then - he must have found it didn't need it. [fingerscrossed]
  25. Give me a chance Jake - I've only had the car a few weeks - I'm still getting used to her before I let my right foot completely loose. But on the one or two occasions that it "slipped" and I accidentally went up to 130 with foot flat down there wasn't any cutout. AFAIK there's no FCD fitted. (It's TimWildman's old car.) Ah well, I may have to lose the l/h air vent then Cheers
