  1. Give them a little knock/tap. Glass ones will sound like your tapping a glass bottle , plastic ones will sound like a plastic bottle....

    Frozen aerial

Anyone got any good tips to pass on as to how they stop their stock aerial freezing up on a morning?

    Drifting game

Don't know if this is a repost, but I've just found it and it pretty good. We should get a league going.... http://www.driftgame.com.au/
  4. Have just ordered myself a Snooper Sapphire. Not arrived yet but will post up my thoughts on it once I've used it for a wee while.
  5. What model is this mate? Have you got a link to the website you've quoted from? Cheers
  6. Hi Gillian and Where you at in Northumberland? This happened to me just last week and It was definitely the battery. Wopped it on charge and 16hrs later it was fine... Steve
  7. Only live halfway up whickham bank round the corner from the rugby club so don't usually take the car. Driving a black NA at the minute - OEM skirts 'n' spats, Blitz Nur spec but thats about it. Will have to get around to updating my garage at some point.... Gym is pretty decent really for £20/month - no real luxuries (although there are sunbeds and a sauna). Resistance machines and free weights are in one room, with aerobic stuff in another.
  8. Great looking car mate Yep that was me and the mrs - I was the one with shiny white legs in the shorts! I heard a nice sounding car, turned around and recognised the headlights straightaway. Had just been to the gym and was tempted to come back and say hi. You live local? Hows' the Taikwondo there?
  9. Spotted going into Blaydon rugby club about 8pm last night. Silver, veilside skirts, TRD rear spoiler...... L reg. Why is it I always see more soops when I'm on foot than when I'm in mine?
  10. Thanks for all that - yes, lots of unanswered questions I'd need to ask first, but like I say, just popped in as I happened to be passing. Will try and find out what products he'd be using and an expected time that it would take him. Think I'll just ask outright about the swirl and scratch removal.
  11. Also seemed a very good set-up in his workshop. Everything appeard tidy and kept clean. Had 2 absolutely gleaming black Range Rover SE Sports in there. Once I get round to it, I'll probably give him a try and let you all know the results.
  12. Happened to be passing a local car valet this afternoon (on foot) and just out of interest popped in to chat with him about a price for a mop and polish. Seemed a very knowledgable bloke and after asking me loads of questions about the car and the condition of the paintwork said he reckons about £45 - £50 quid. He also explained some of the risks to me and what he could and couldn't do - which impressed me that he wasn't just going to take my money to make a fast buck! Anyway - £50 seem a fair price?
  13. In your original post, your refer to reliability.... In my opinion, although a well looked after TT shouldn't give too many problems (Toyota build etc), bear in mind the NA has the same engine but without the tubbies. Thus, meaning less stresses and strains and the engine (for an NA) could be described my some as being 'over-engineered'
  14. Realised as soon as i posted it....doh. Should be there now mate.
  15. As the title says - anyone know what these wheels are? This is the only pic I've got taken from Fat Controller's spoiler thread
  16. Anyone know this guy? Used to be a member on here I think and may still be for all I know. Think I have his old car. Cheers
  17. Any idea which prison he's serving his sentence in?
  18. Agreed - you're eyebrows need plucking mate.
  19. Just to update you all. Now have the car back (picked her up tonight) but the problem isn't sorted. Basically on a test run today, with the convertor out, Envy discovered a strange lack of consistency.... Using a GPS to verify actual speed, at 25mph the car indicated 30 (so over-read) but at 75mph the car indicated 60 (so under-read). Totally stumped for solutions now so thought may as well get the car back and fit a Road Angel or something to give me my speed details. Not really the outcome I wanted but guess it'll suffice for the time being. Oh, and by the way, a big thanks to Gaz Walker for the significant reduction in cost compared to the real amount of labour hours.
  20. Digsy, cheers - that explains why Envy thought that then. No 2nd device was visible so they have been trying to have a look around in case there was one hard-wired direct to the gear box or something. Haven't found anything though...
  21. It has been difficult to stay patient but I guess with this kind of problem, they're difficult to trace and its just down to trial and error. So you fitted the new speedo face onto yours etc with using a speed convertor too?
  22. Somebody suggested to me that Peter Betts at Thor Racing might be able to sort me out - anyone know the fella?
