  1. So did the Kracken have my battery in Hodge or did you get a new one? Intrigued to know if it handled it ok.
  2. Bondage is usually a problem, especially if you're the submissive type. Seriously though - do you know what they are bonded on with? Marc Dixon (safcDixon) on here had to remove his after the previous owne had used bathroom sealant. Could maybe PM him for some tips?
  3. This slipped my mind tonight lads sorry - not been on the forum all day as I had an assessment centre to attend between 6-8pm for a potential new job. Would have loved to seen the car too Marc
  4. Ash, can you PM me details of how you blocked off the fueling please?
  5. If you flip the metal part over 90 deg in the direction of the purple arrow on the attached pic, you should see that each of the metal tabs line up with a small hole. Put the tabs through the hole then bend them back (behind the lens insert) to hold the piece in position
  6. You don't want to be spraying 2k in your garage like without an air fed mask mate!
  7. Depends if the ashtray lid comes off mate. If it doesn't, then the whole ashtray would need to be dipped.
  8. Ibrar used to do it but has sold the kit now. Don't think anyone on the forum does it per se. Dave for carbon wrapping and me for skinning.
  9. I've not 'done' anything to it. Using the car for work yesterday and it just didn't seem right - a bit lethargic but I was just putting it down to the heat of the day, plus a funny 'wet fart' type noise after start up. When I got home I had a look under the bonnet with it running and it didn't seem very responsive to throttle and the pulleys appeared to be labouring a bit. Maybe its just me being paranoid though. When I pushed down on the aux belt the tension semed to be a bit slack but I forgot to check it agains the A and B marks on the cover - will do that tonight. With it being so close to having the engine pulled anyway, I don't want to take excessive chances - just need it to get to yours on Saturday!
  10. I'm having a bit of an issue with aux belt tensioner so not sure I'll be in the supra. Shall we say meet in the lidl car park at Swalwell at 6.45pm? I'll either be there in the Supra or on foot!
  11. Get yourself down to see Juicy Jen for some nice polishes lol.
  12. Could the higher ampage alternator have overcharged it maybe?
  13. Yeah, sounds like a plan mate - save you reserving a space for me again. It'll be the last time the 3 black Supra's will be together!
  14. Could always ring your local Toyota?
  15. I'll be there but I'll just see you at Toys R Us - only live minutes away so not much point driving to the Valley first
  16. I'll be there about 7 but can only stay half an hour or so.

    Engine Stand

That'd be great Ash. Cheers for the link too. All sorted for a crane. Just about to PM you oddly enough!

    Engine Stand

Cheers for that mate - will hang fire 'til it arrives then.

    Engine Stand

Excellent - I'll get that bought today then. What bolts are needed to afix the engine to the stand?

    Engine Stand

This stand should be ok for an NA engine shouldn't it? Can't imagine it weighing more than 300kg? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Engine-Gearbox-Transmission-Quality-Swivel-Head-Mount-Support-Stand-450Kg-1000lb-/310677400419?pt=UK_Lifting_Moving_Equipment&hash=item4855d0eb63#ht_3618wt_1141
  21. Welcome to the club! How much is 'enough' cash - what's your budget? Some nice examples in the classified section on here.
  22. Yeah right! Maybe if it were the Scottish Modified Show for the Blind. That's proper insulting that like... what a shame mate.
  23. Pleased to hear everything is getting sorted though and you're back on for more powwwwwwweeerrrrr!
