  1. I'll PM you in a minute Jazz. Feel shut an utter idiot for not spotting this, as well as extremely angry that it has happened - I bought a pair of handles from a member on here and just assumed they were a matching set, i.e. a left and a right!!! Didn't even think to check and I was just concentrating on getting them skinned I've got another pair in the garage bought from Keron as a back-up in case the first set went wrong, so I know they'll be correct - I'll go and check the markings on them now and let you know in the PM bud. So, so sorry Jazz - you must be gutted to finally get them after all this time and realise I've made a ball's up!
  2. Feckin awesome stuff!! That new turbo looks like it has found its true purpose in life You're sure to clean up at the Scottish modified show in July like! Very well done mate
  3. What is the overall reason for doing this - newer shell with low mileage running gear?
  4. Fingers crossed for you mate that the cloudiness is just in the surface lacquer and not the resin! Hope it's gets sorted soon as its an ace looking Supra.
  5. Reckon you'll be updating with pics and prices later today Paul?
  6. Excellent - I'll be there next week again too. So will that first paint be RSP or 1A1??? I'm sometimes in and around Darlo with work Richie so I'll keep an eye out for you. Team Valley, Gateshead is probably a bit far for you to come to a mid-week Wed meet I would guess.
  7. Aye - its definitely more of a summer hobby like. Having said that, if there's high levels of humidity in the summer that can ruin things too!
  8. Yep, you'll need to use the high temp stuff for any engine bay parts like - both the high temp base coat and the resin top coat. Any milkyness in the lacquer tends to be caused by trapped air coming up from within the resin over time, this is drawn to the surface by the heat (sun or engine bay temps) or perhaps (I think) just poor UV inhibitors in the lacquer. I've recently had a problem with the handles I done for Jazz just as I was about to post them out and also the same with one of Hodges mirrors - its an absolute pig of a job to rub back as far as it takes to get rid of the fault then essentially start the process again. In the case of one of Hodge's mirrors the carbon couldn't be saved so I had to rub all that off too!!
  9. I'm planning on going for a coffee and a natter - could we not make it at Starbucks instead of Maccy D's?
  10. Looks great Jamie, nice job! Look forward to seeing the fitted pics
  11. Nah not yet. Finishing off Hodges mirrors over the next week and then I'm off on hols so my car will have to wait a while..
  12. Excellent mate - there really wasn't much left to do I don't think, you'd done most of the hard graft! How did it turn out?
  13. Hi all, Just wanted to say a quick 'thank you' for all the positive votes in my hobbyist renewal thread. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?286381-Hobbyist-renewal-Stevo/page2 Very much appreciated Steve
  14. Jake is kindly letting me borrow the mould he made but only so that I can make a single item for my own car - I haven't got it yet though. I have no plans for a group buy on these and wouldn't do so without the ok from Jake (and mods of course).
  15. As mentioned on Sunday mate, I'm stowed off with work at the minute pending a big project go-live tomorrow - so sorry I couldn't be there. Things should have calmed down by next week though and I should be there.
  16. Well these ones have had a fair few complications and have taken considerably longer than both Jazz and I would have liked!! However, I would sincerely hope that the issues I had could be avoided with another set. This is why I prefer to work on 'spare' parts rather than have people remove parts from their car and render it un-usable until I'm done. Thankfully, jazz has been the most patient person I have ever known - real top guy! Probably looking at the end of June before I could get another set of handles made available. Desperately trying to finish off a set of Veilside mirrors at the minute so they are my top priority, then I go to Australia for a month and not back until end of April.
  17. Forgot to say 'thanks' to Jonny for the fudge too mate - not long 'till it'll be on the shelves lol.
  18. Enjoyed the catch-up with you guys this morning after all - thanks for having us Fosta and for the cuppa. Nowt like the sound of 3 supra's coming up the street to wake a man up after he's gone back to bed lol. Cheer's for coming round guys - actually really appreciated it. Thanks for the ride in the TT too Mark.... First of many meets this year hopefully.
  19. Haha so it is! Anyhow, it's snowing steadily here and the sky looks full of it so I reckon I'm out of this for today I'm afraid. Could make it there but don't want risk not making it back up my bank! Marc must have forgotten to book the sun this time!
  20. Just a head's up guys - if the snow comes as predicted, I'll not be coming to this!
  21. That looks great! I love seeing stuff like this, that looks like it belongs there
