Greg--- My 240Z was a UK car and only 1,500 were ever imported. Fewer than 100 are now registered.

There are 2 owner's clubs -- The Classic Z Register ( S30.org ) and The Z Club. Also try Z specialist - Duncan Piercey at The Z Farm.

Updated with full list of modifications and installation date.

Did you ever share that with your wife? its a big service bill even before the labour is thrown in.

As a side interest how does insurance fare on this relative to say a run of the mill TT?

Haha thanks Pete.

Yes Baz it was of course an original UK TT Manual. They only made UK TT's in manual and auto not NA's from memory.

People will have different opinions about whether this is a UK car or not given extensive modifications but I'll explain it quite simply:

1) It is a UK manufactured and V5 UK registered vehicle with all supporting documentation and a full UK history.

2) It has a UK chassis and VIN plate and is practically OEM from the exterior.

3) The main modifications are mechanical and you could return to stock if you really wanted but God knows why you would after having so much spent on an excellent single setup.

This is a clean and very well cared for UK car and I spent a long time looking for it.

Cheers

Greg

Thanks Greg, The Q was to check it was an original manual and not an auto conversion as that does affect the potential historical value, considerably.

I'm going to muse a little about my ideal for a second Supra choice as my preference, as you are aware, is very much for stock so a single would be a total diversion for me. But I do have a stock example already and buying a spare 2JZ-GTE engine would be a sensible investment as well as either a spare unit or to have an option to return a modified car to stock when the values veer that way to make a retro conversion a sound economic choice.

Awesome car, awesome spec. Pity it's going abroad and that I never got to see it in the flesh. Got an up to date email from the Dft with the current numbers I'll do an update later tonight when I get home.

Don't update it yet mate nothing is concrete until I receive payment and it disappears out the UK!
