It's only people that want to stay in a b&b that have to book themselves. You'll pay a deposit for your diggs, day trip and ferry (probably going to be £100 -£30 for diggs, £30 for trip, £30 for ferry and £10 for breakfast both mornings) and that's you Will I put your name down then? Thanks for the update Graham, and for the info on the b&b availability in Dornie which is as follows There are a couple of rooms left at Caberfeidh Guest House, so get booking if you want a b&b for the 1st night as it's where to stay. It's reasonably cheap at around £32 per person per night and there are only five rooms. An alternative, all be it more overpriced option is Dornie hotel , expect to pay about £75 p/night.
