We always you the 1.00AR divided on pretty much all the precision turbos

After a chat with Ryan when I was putting together my current setup, he advised me against the 1.15 AR I was initially thinking about.

The tests SP did in the US on a built 3.0 showed better result on the 0.84 AR that the 0.96 (open housing).

I haven't seen the dyno sheets of the divided housings yet, but I suppose the 1.00 would be the max to use on a 3.0.

I'd go tubular just because of the better sounding exhaust note. Also with a tubular manifold you can get it true divided setup. Log manifolds are open.

+1

Plus, tubular manifolds are better for pump fuel ; with cast manifolds, EGT's will go a lot higher at higher boost levels compared to tubular manifolds.

Cast manifold are ok at high boost if you run ethanol.

I've gone with a 1.00AR divided housing for my 6870 (for built 3.0l) on Lee's and Reid's recommendation.

I have gone with the .84 so would be interesting to compare the spool and power difference at same boost levels. Did you get the SP or HP housing?
