1st off i would rip the mounting bolts out as they are only held in with resin, and not very well at that,

you dont need to split the bonnet open, that was how daves arrived to me and just had that pic of t bolts.a pair of pliers will twist them out no probs

then make 2 plates and weld a pair of nuts to them.measure the nut spacing on your stock bonnet.

image

slot these in through the bonnet hock holes next to the mounts and counter sink poppet rivet the plates between the to skins of the bonnet.

image

this way the bonnet will be sandwiched between the hinge and the plate, far stronger than the effort do luck do.

then do the same for the safety catch, this can be slotted in through the catchs, use a piece of wire to giude it in

again the safety catch is then secure rather than held in with self tapers as was the last one i sorted.

next the catchs them selfs are to thin so when you shut the bonnet it will rattle up n down thus letting air get under it,and thats when it all goes horribly wrong when at speed.i had some tube the same outside diameter as the stock bonnet catchs.cut in half and weld to the catchs.

if you zoom in on this pick you will see what i did, sorry only picture i could find of this
