I started with an N/A when I was 19, had it for 2 years and loved it now I've got a TT and still had a couple of 'sketchy' moments in it, I would advise any new member who is fairly young to get an N/A, there still good fun, still look good and in my opinion, there a lot nicer to drive if your going manual, the TTs manual box just feels like a chore, I'm constantly having to change gear.

p.s. I usually a bit of a perv in a female welcome thread but I don't want to be put in Branners dungeon again....................terrible and unimaginable things happened down there, I was made to watch Big Brother until I had learnt my lesson :(

On the TT / NA subject, I don't think age or previous should come into the equation at all, a lot of members here have gone from a 'hot hatch' style car straight up to a TT, it's about respect for the newfound power, which I'm sure you'll have.

Maybe something that would help you decide would be to get a run out in both a TT and an N/A (both in an auto/manual variant of both). If you can live with the power the N/A has and want a Supra more for the looks then maybe go down this route.

If you are more concerned with having both the power and the looks then the TT is really the only option, like others have said you will be disappointed with the N/A. There is a great buying guide on here of things to look for when buying a Supra (will see if I can find it). (Edit, here it is: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=67644)

Once you've decided which one to go for, you can maybe get a member on here to go with you and check you're not buying a lemon, it's always useful to post about a car you're maybe thinking of buying on here and check to see if anyone knows anything about it. I'd be happy to come along to check any cars out if you're local but not sure where you're based... If I'm not local to you I'm sure someone else will be not to far from you who will help you out.

Just do your research and don't be afraid to ask questions.... oh and good luck finding what you're after :)

I don't agree with some comments. I mean the N/A is not a disappointing car for younger drivers at all. It's still a very fun, great looking car and you have to remember, it's still a step up from a lot of these hatchbacks.

N/A's are experience building and fun.

TT's are dangerously grabbing fun.

Like turning from child to adult as it seems. I believe it's always best to go up in steps.

But it's your choice. :)

Hi Im from Bury St Edmunds (well near there lol) would you really trust me in your car :p

I don't mind so long as you are careful. We have a meet in bury soon So that would be a good oportunity to come along and see the different supra models, meet some of us etc.

Welcome to the forum.:) you find alot of people very friendly here and useful.:)

Welcome :)

I'm also looking for a Twin Turbo, wouldn't really want to settle for an N/A as I'm mainly getting a Supra for the speed (and cheap insurance)! :D

 my insurance aint that cheap and i'm 24.

I agree, I loved my N/A, sure the new TT is faster but I found the N/A so enjoyable to drive and if you don't nail it you can just tell everyone it's a TT;)

p.s. Why are all the women that sign up not near me:(

Ooooh my bad I better change that avatar to an actual picture of me then....LOL

*sighs* Always too good to be true:(

Now I know how those women feel expecting a Brad Pitt look-a-like to turn up in a Bentley, and getting a 22 year old 'youf' in a rude boy Toyota turning up with 50 cent blasting out the windows.
