  1. What colour smoke would you get if it were burning excess fuel? Or should I just accept it's as thirsty as Hummer?
  2. Ok, so I've had my Sup for about three weeks. I put £40 worth of BP Ultimate in the car the day I bought it at a cost of £1.01p a litre (No Shell by me) I've since done 115 miles and I'm almost empty!!! Now I know I've been nailing the car a bit, afterall it's my new motor and can't get enough of it. But surely a TT should get better mpg than that? I'm working it out to around 11mpg. That's worse than I thought, was kinda hoping for around 20mpg. The only consolation is the BP I bought the fuel from was taken over by Tesco the day after and they never debited my account. But can I expect this kind of mpg in future or is there something wrong with my Sup?
  3. I love these type threads, makes me feel all happy and smug! I too can't understand why anybody would want any other car other than the Supra. If I won the lottery I'd just go out and buy the best Sup available, I just love em!

    Rat boy!!

That was genius, I need to see the full episode!!!!! Any links anyone? :rlol:
  5. :rlol: Funny you should say that, I've only had mine a few weeks and my Dad and his mates down the pub have been taking the piss. The best they could come up with was calling me Batman. I get the obvious 'na na na na na na na Batman' every time I walk into the pub. They think it's hilarious, especially as I've just started seeing a bird called Robbie (short for Roberta). Doesn't take a genius to figure out her new nickname! They laughed about that one for days! As for the fave thing about my Sup, everytime I drop a mate off I give the obligatory foot to the floor, wheels spinning, turbos whistling thrash off into the distance. Childish and boy racer-ish. But I don't care, I know the smile on their face is as big as mine!
  6. Oh I see, not frequented as much as the OT section though. I think my Friday Thread would die in there as quick as it did on here! At least I can participate in The Friday Thread on my footie forum so all is not lost! Anyone who can view half naked women at work check out the Friday Thread over there, not as good this week but worth a look. http://www.molineuxmix.co.uk/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=5585&PN=1 EDIT - Sorry, you have to be registered. Too bad as well.....
  7. Oh well, if there is a section nobody posts in there! RIP Friday Thread - didn't even make it past first pic
  8. It'll stay in first until 55mph? Didin't think it'd be that high.
  9. Not sure if this has been done on here before but on another footie forum I post on we have 'The Friday Thread'. It's basically a thread every Friday where we post up pics of gorgeous women (and men) looking very beautiful. No nips or bits, just clean sexy fun! Anybody fancy posting up some pics? I'll start us off.... http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~mikmira/mystery/mystery39.jpg
  10. Think so, don't think I'm explaining myself very well. Obviously the more revs the longer it'll stay in that gear. I think I confused matters by mentioning my problem. I just meant if driven sensibly at what speed would it change to the next gear. For eg, when does 2nd change to 3rd? and when does 3rd change to 4th? Or is this impossible to put a speed on each gear change?
  11. Matt, am I right in thinking you have never owned a Supra? It's just you have over 600 posts! If you've never owned one how come it's took you so long?
  12. I meant is there any standard approx figures at what gear the auto should be in at any given speed. I was trying to determine what gear my auto is in whilst cruising at about 40mph with O/D turned on.
  13. Anybody know approx which speed the auto box changes whilst in D? For eg. from 1st to 2nd @ 10mph - from 2nd to 3rd @ 30mph etc etc. And does O/D limit you to third at all speeds? It's just sometimes I floor it at say 30 - 40mph and there's no instant kick - just a fairly smooth but quick build up of speed. I'm worried there's something wrong. I was wondering if maybe I'm in 4th and it's only kicking down to third???
  14. Those names are my Dad's uncles and his Dad - all brothers if you follow. They're in order of oldest to youngest. Derek being the oldest and so on. Stanley is my Grandad. My Dad still can't like my first name Conrad cus he only ever calls me Conor. I think he liked Highlander. Either that or Condom, whichever mood he's in. Sounds terrible but just silly banter - he's more like my mate than my Dad! It could have been worse tho, there's a local scrap man by us who back in the 60's named his new born daughter after every World Heavyweight Boxing champion since records began. She got a womens first name but her middle names were these! She'd be handy to know in a pub quiz!
  15. Funny that, my mom did exactly the same with me - left my Dad to register my name. Being the inmature teen he was he thought it would be good to name me after all his uncles. He didn't like my first name so thought he could choose the middle. My full name is: Conrad Derek Keneth Stanley Alan Victor Alexander. This I kid you not. My Mom went ape shit, he thought it was really funny. Not so funny when the Vicar nearly refused to Christen me! On my medical records I'm Conrad DKSAV Alexander cus they can't fit it all on. My Doctor asked if I were Polish! Sorry, slight thread hijack. Congrats with the baby though mate - get one of them name books and avoid all names in the Top 10 favourites for last 10 years. Always cooler being the only one with that name!
  16. ARCTIC MONKEYS ARCTIC MONKEYS ARCTIC MONKEYS! No album available yet as it's not been released, but loads of stuff on the net. Check out http://isohunt.com/torrents.php?ihq=arctic+monkeys&ext=&op=and The one you want is the 6th one down with covers and video. Please download it, you don't know what you're missing! Superb! My 1st Supra

Cool car mate, congratulations on superb motor. Nice wheels and best colour! Def be careful in this weather, you'll snake even in straight lines when the tubbies kick in. It's lethal!
  18. As title, which do you use? I def need one and been looking in the Argos. Everyone seems to like the Thatcham 3 Approved Disk Lock style one. I'd like that on but it's £80. I'm skint at the moment as I've just bought Supe and Xmas on the way. There's other disk style ones for £20 but they're probably naff. What do you guys use? And do any of you use wheel clamps? I could do with getting something, I live in an area that can only be best described as The Bronx.
  19. Does it handle that mcuh better than a FWD car in the dry then? I've only owned mine a week and never had the privilege of driving in the dry! Roll on the Summer is all I say
  20. Bit wrong I know, but me and my mate ever since we both passed our test always play the same trick on each other! Whoever is the passenger picks their nose to get the biggest snottiest boggy they can find then wipe it when the drivers not looking on the gear stick. The driver then inevitably has to change gear! You'd be surprised how many times we've both fell for it. This running practical joke played a big part in me buying an auto.
  21. Just wondered like. No doubt we're all driving like old women in this weather and I'm finding the RWD a bit of a hand full. Just wondered if the Supe would be any better FWD?
  22. I don't think this was from Keighley Trade Center. I saw this car up on the Auto Trader a couple weeks back. Was cheap for a 6 Speed. If I rememeber correctly the ad on AT made it look real dull but when I looked at the pics on the sellers website I saw these pics - and it's very nice! Congratulations on your Supe mate! Word of caution, take it easy in the wet!
  23. Back to the petrol thingy, anyone know if there's an additive you can add to regular unleaded to boost the octane? Somebody told me this today. If so, is it any good or cost effective?
