  1. Cool, I want one! What's the battery life like and is there a choice on colours?
  2. I've had loads of cars on the register and never had any trouble with them. I've even bought both an MR2 and Celica that were both CatD stolen recovered. I just needed new locks and column etc etc. The only way a stolen recovered car is any different to a normal car is in it's value imo.
  3. What colour is it? If it's possible to describe.....
  4. I think it's the Cupra R he's got - I'm sure I recall a little red 'R' on the back. Although, I was on at least my 10th ale of the evening when he took me out! Must have felt faster when I was pissed! Still a quick motor tho!
  5. My mates got one of these and he's been banging on about how fast it is for a while. He reckons he gave a TT a run for it's money a few weeks back right up to about 90mph. I just laughed and took no notice, until I went in it last night! Jeez, it's quick! He's had it chipped and I'd have to say It would easily match my standard TT in this weather. He claims it's 210bhp with the chip. My mate who was also in the car who has a BPU Scooby reckons it'd stick with his car too. I was well impressed. Anyone else been in one of these?
  6. Captainchaos You've probably seen this already but check out http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=53694 Chap on there with a 1997 P reg 6 Speed facelift in black with full leather. Only done 35k and he's looking for just 11k! That's 3 years newer than the one you originally looked at and in the best colour too. Gives you a good indication of what you can get for your money.
  7. Mark, good luck with the sale mate. I reckon you'll sell for the price you want as it sounds a top motor. I know there's a new lad on here (captainchaos?) who was looking for a Sup and was willing to pay 12k for a much older car than yours! I'll post a link up on his thread to this - he's along way away but a good Sup is worth travelling for.
  8. Best thing about this was I bet the dude in the Sup had a little smug grin on his face when warming his tyres and looking across! Loved the sarcastic cheers from the crowd too!
  9. Burna, if you can't fulfill your obligations to the thonged girl from Wolverhampton let me know - she can't be too far away from me! Who is the Chica Bonita anyway? looks like some bird I snogged once called Marie - honest!
  10. mossywell, your Sup is easily worth 10 - 11k all day imho. Even with the bottom almost dropping out the Sup market lately A 6 speed TT facelift with low mileage in Black? Definitely up there with the most desirable Sup's to own without a doubt. You ask all Sup owners which model they first wanted and nearly all will say a 6 speed TT in black - I know I did. If time isn't an issue then by all means wait til the new year before paying for any advertising. But either way, get it in the Classifieds on here in the mean time. I would also sort the knock sensor out though. And personally the other problems I wouldn't fix nor would they stop me buying a car. But hey, that's me. Good luck with the sale bud! PS - Surely a child seat fits in the back of the Supra? If so, your lad would be at least 10 before he'd be too big for the back seats! Child seat for now then seat belts when he's big enough!
  11. Bloke goes to the Doctor and says: "Doctor Doctor, I keep thinking I'm a cowboy" "Oh really" replies the Doctor "And how long have you felt like this for?" "Oh" replies the chap "About a YEEE HAA!" Works much better when you tell it out loud........

    Hi I'm new!

I care, only cus I want to know how you did it! I wanna change my user name too!
  13. Quality, this was what I was on about. Would love to have seen their faces!
  14. Am I right in thinking that getting the stem seal problem sorted isn't a neccesaty? The reason I ask is becuase to my horror I had a little puff of blue yesterday, never noticed it before. Can it decrease power in any way or cause problems elsewhere. Or is it just a case that it's burning a little oil?
  15. Just wondered if it were possible? It sounds really daft to ask but I've been looking at getting a wheel clamp for security but they're all too small. My front wheels are 235 wide and back are 265 wide and most clamps are only 220 wide. Just wondered if the invinceble Sup could withstand those nasty clampers!
  16. I'm afraid this chap is in Brisbane, Australia! Not sure what insurance is like over there or if the N/A was released as a legit model in Australia. Maybe insurance is cheaper on that over there. Supra_Skyed, welcome top the club mate and congrats on the car. You're lucky to have a Sup at 19. I had a Vauxhall Nova 1.3 SR - and I still thought I was the bollocks! Anyway....... :needspic:
  17. I have literally no decent fuel by me, the nearest BP shut down two weeks ago and the nearest Shell is 8 miles away. This meant I was using normal unleaded for a few days!:thumbdown Finally drove over to the Shell yesterday and put a full tank in. Got £52 in @ 90.9p a litre. Best reset my ECU by the sounds of it. BTW, I asked my local Tesco if they were gonna do the 99ron stuff and they said no because their petrol is supplied by ESSO. Anyone else heard this?
  18. Must be you then, do you drink in The Linthouse Pub though? cus I do all the time! Probably tonight too. Flat4 Ire, I wouldn't worry about the abuse mate. I saw you post on an old thread that you really didn't want an auto - why not out of interest? The reason I ask is cus my mate who's now on his third scooby literally begged me not to get an auto. ''I hate the way they sound'' he'd say or ''you can't drive em properly''. When I finally got mine a few weeks back he had a go after we fetched it. He absolutely loved it and said he wouldn't care if he had TT auto - said he was worrying about nothing and loved the way it drove! Worth a thought mate if you haven't test drove one yet....

    Toyota advert

Anyone see the Honda advert on TV last night during Champions League break? Funny dude driving a Honda 90 at the start and ending up in a hot air balloon Cool ad
  20. Where abouts in Wolvo you live mate? I'm Wednesfield way..... EDIT: You don't drink in the Linthouse do you? Seen a red Sup there and one by the Conservative Club near the police station in Wednesfield.
  21. Anyone on here had to replace their alarm fob? I've only one set of keys and fob for my Sup and would be gutted if I lost them as got no spare. I've got a Toad AI606 Cat 1 - anyone know if I can duplicate it and roughly how much?
  22. Agreed. It's always the easier option to p/x with a garage. Vine may be offering what seems like a good deal but they can afford to do that because of the price they're selling the car at. I'd def sell your civic private and buy a Sup private or from a respected member on here. You'll have a decent chunk of change I reckon. Facelift was 96 or 97 (cant remember which) and for 12k you should be able to get a 6 speed facelift no problem. That's why I said ealier that 12k was too much for '94.
  23. Seen a Mr Sizzle type kebab van in the paper once that had the best name ever for a shop/company. It was called: Jason's Doner-Van Genius!
  24. Captainchaos, I'd def look elsewhere as that's way too much for a car of that age - even if it is a 6 speed. A long way from you but check out http://www.whifbitz.co.uk/fstoyota.html There's a few on there a couple k cheaper, all 6 speeds. You'll still pay a premium from whiffbitz but at least you're guaranteed a top motor. He only get's good en's. Alternatively to that just look on the trader, ebay and the classifieds on here. You'll get something a hell of a lot cheaper privately. If you needed to p/x your type R why not try and sell it privately first. You'll save a lot of money in the long run. I've just bought a '94 Jspec auto in silver with a few nice cosmetic bits for £6750. You may not want an auto but it gives you an idea of what you can get for your dosh. Chexk out mine here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=52180
