  1. Sorry, can't hear you! I missed reading the bottom bit on the first post. Cheers, Ro
  2. Did your Garage re-do the geometry setup? I used this bloke, Tony in Watford: http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk Has some good read-up: THEORY Camber Angle Theory Camber Angle Basics Drifting Geometry Theory Kingpin Inclination Angle Theory KPI Included Angle Basics Longitudinal Castor Angle Theory Maintenance and Ride Height Basics Pre-alignment Assessment Guide Sequential Alignment Fault Diagnostics Steering Geometry Theory and Axis Deviation Theory Tracking or Wheel Alignment Basics Vehicle Dynamics Consultation Wheel Toe-In and Toe-Out Theory Wheels Alignment Systems
  3. Martin, I had similar starting problems. The battery clamps were slightly oxidized inside so cleaning them helped a little but the problems came back. I had the battery tested a few times by various garages using the traditional testers and also by the AA who used a fash looking bluetooth device that showed the battery performance on his laptop PC - They all indicated the battery was OK. I was still having the problems. A member on here who is a mechanic then tested the Battery with a very big and heavy battery tester - I guess that was much better, and showed the Battery wasn't performing. I replaced it with a Halfords battery and everything is now fne. Ro
  4. Nic actually did a similar suspension replacement I think? It would be good to get his view. I think Paul Whiffin did the same on his car.

    Quiet exhaust?

From what I looked into, the HKS silent was anything buy slient!

    Quiet exhaust?

I've done a bit of research into this and I would go for the Tanabe Medallion Touring. It's been specifically designed for performance and to be reasonably quiet. Loud exhausts on idle and low revs really annoy me now - I feel it's for the corsa/saxo brigade! One of the bosses in my building had a Ferrari Scaglietti - very quiet on idle and low speeds - But sounded a beast when he opened up the throttle! Jamie - bear in mind the angle/size of the rear box as you have a Trial bumper - It may foul the bumper
  7. That's cos Metal Monkey make them for Thor!

    Feel so guilty!

I was in the same situation a few weeks ago - I kept an eye on the kid and told a lady walking by and we both then found the mother. I was worried in case I got kicked in the bollocks by someone thinking the wrong thing - Everyone else walked by.
  9. Mate, Try PM'ing 'Fastisnice' - He had one for sale a while back Ro
  10. Stick to GVN mate. There's a reason why they are always repairing ferraris, Rolls Royce and Lambos!
  11. Auto and Manual are different by the way
  12. Try asking who Leon/JPS uses maybe? When I lived in Luton I drove up to Ibrar/Tyre Logic/Pro Alloys in Birmimgham as I knew I won't have any problems! Worth the drive!
  13. I've been really happy with my Sky broad band and the connection has been almost faultless. How are you connected to the router? - I know USB wireless connectors are not so good. I'm using a netgear laptop card
  14. I've used Weds 18's (slightly less weight than stock) and Axis Hiro 19's. I find it easier to control the car when the back fish tails with the 19's. I'm very happy with 19's. My advice - go for 19's if you can get a quality set/good brand with good tyres and then have your geometry setup
  15. Easy to cook Basic authentic curries (Chicken/Prawns) My own recipe. For 2 people 400 - 500 grams chicken/Prawns (Use breast meat for ease or thigh and leg for more taste 2 medium onions 2 cloves garlic 3/4 washed bay leaves couple of pieces of washed cinnamon bark small piece of ginger 1.5 tblsp veg oil 2 teaspoons Mixed curry powder/Garam Masala powder 1 to 2 chopped fresh chilli (Optional) Upto 1 teaspoon Chilli powder (optional) Couple of teaspoons of salt Fresh Corriander Rice (cook as per instructions) or Naan bread Method Chop the garlic and ginger finely. Chop the oninon up quite fine too. Using a fairly large sauce pan, throw in the garlic, ginger, bay leaves, cinnamon bark and salt in the pre-heated oil, stir, let the garlic and ginger lightly fry but do not let it brown. Throw in the onion and let it cook slowly in low heat stirring occasionaly. Do not let it burn. After anout 10-15 mins it should all become soft, slightly caramelised. Test it by seeing if the onion is squishy with your cooking spoon. Cook for longer if needed. Throw in the fresh chopped chilli, raise the tempreture quite high and add the curry powder/chilli powder and keep stiring. The spices should start frying off and it is ESSENTIAL that the curry powder is frying off under the extra heat. Keep mixing so it doesn't BURN (a few mins under the extra heat). You know it's working when the spices release their flavours as the smell becomes strong and the air a bit choky, your eyes may water a little! Throw in the meat and let it sear a bit. Add one to two cupfuls of boiling water and cook on quite high heat for few mins, mixing occassionally. Reduce heat and let it simmer for 15-20 mins ensuring the meat is cooked, stirring occassionally so eventually the sauce is reduced a bit. Taste it - add more salt or chilli powder if needed. Once cooked, switch off heat and sprinkle a small handful of finely chopped corriander on the curry. Serve with rice or naan bread. You can vary the recipe by adding veg if needed. For an authentic Korma, follow the above recipe but NO curry powder or chilly! Use half teaspoon of Jeera powder instead. You can add a little single cream or coconut milk if you want Lamb Curry - Takes much longer. As above but you add the lamb before the curry powder and let the meat simmer/cook for about 30-40 mins. Then add the curry powder and follow on from the above method p.s. My Uncle used to hold the record for the Worlds largest curry! The local Fire Brigade helped him out! Cheers, Ro
  16. I've had mines with the wheels on! The side of the bike rests on the boot/back seat folded down and the front wheels is turned so it sits behind the front seats, wheel side against the seats. bit of a struggle but can be done!
  17. C-West have supra specific mounts for the original holes. And the mounts aren't huge door wedges!
  18. Get the quotation form in writing and ensure all the mods are listed before taking out the policy. Lancaster was happy to do this for me and rectify any problems with the list. They also sent me a letter to confirm mines is an import.
  19. Hi, Mines been off for nearly three years, no problems. Engine doesn't get dirty - underneath looks fine when the cars on a ramp Ro
  20. Is that the one with the Lambo engine? Impressive for a big car - Top end was almost the same as my BPU supra, I was gaining on him slightly. Nothing like the current M5 - That's a rocket! Edit: sorry the one I raced with was a less powerful engine (S8)
  21. Tummy fat 'can grow new breasts' http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/6283444.stm "Rajiv Grover of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (Baaps) said he saw the research as a "positive development for medical science", but doubted whether it would provide any immediate results in cosmetic surgery."
