  1. I would check if the fault is still there - It may been caused from the convertor removal and may now be OK. Remove the two green 30 Amp EFI fuses for a few mins and replace to re-set the ECU You may need to invoke the following conditions for code 42 to see if there is a fault: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=13923&d=1112558346
  2. You live in Bedfordshire? You can have a pair of brand new Kenwood 4" for free if you pick them up from me and if I can find them ( Which I should!). I'll be in Luton this Saturday evening. PM if interested. Ro
  3. Yup - I got mines from Nic. There are two part numbers for these. It is embossed on the front of the unit - no need to take it off to get the part number
  4. Nice one mate! What tyres were you using?

  6. Hi, Just for clarification, I have posted my experiences with KR as I felt it was of benefit to members. For me, the way they have treated me and the services were disgraceful and posted details and their responses. I'll leave it up to the members of this forum about what they think of KR. I don't think the 'Dispute Resolution' forum was available when I had my problems and thats why I left negative feedback on their iTrader feedback. I'm selling my car and wish to move on, putting this experience down to one of the bad episodes in my Supra ownership. Thanks, Ro
  7. If you can't afford UK brakes then J spec with stock discs, harder pads, braided lines and good fluid will be an improvement then stock j spec brakes
  8. Bumper is the same colour dude. I've rectified the paint work now.
  9. And you are just shooting yourselves in the foot now. Quality Control starts with you! If I can spot bubbling paint, laquer drips, Masking tape not taped properly, paint overruns, dust particles in the laquer, hair/fibre in the laquer, marks in paint due to bad blending, scratches in paint work, paint requiring mopping, arch screws that are too small, Interior and engine covered in filler dust blah blah blah.... (you get the picture!) - WHY CAN'T YOU?!!!!!!!!! I'm supposed to be a bodywork/spray work numpty!
  10. Good, when can I expect my refund for the £150 you charged me for your mistake? And the train tickets for the wasted journeys to your premises, only to find the paint work was shite? Albert and Joe, do everyone a favour and take an evening course at your local college on Car Body maintenance/spraying. Andy Senior, I don't think Homer was referring to your present company at all. Unfortunately Homers post only highlights why it wasn't a good thing to carry on with the Miami GT name. Anyone who has been using this forum for a few years knows about the reputation of the former Miami GT. When I hear 'Miami GT' - I only associate it with negative things and Paul Evans. Sorry. Cheers, Ro
  11. Lol, if anyone can't be bothered to read my rather long post above, Rich has summed up KR nicely!

  14. If anyone wishes to read my experience in full with KR then please read the quoted post from KR’s trader renewal thread below. In my opinion KR simply just don’t know anything about bodywork/spraying. On a few occasions they said the work they’d done was perfect yet I was pointing out a list of defects. Why is it that they keep deciding to re-spray a panel/bumper for free, sometimes when the customer hasn’t asked for it? It’s cos they cock it up or don’t know what they are doing at all! If you ‘get what you pay for’ then I’ll give you a list of bodyshops that are cheaper than KR but do a better job! I could have very easily sued the pants off them. Firstly for very poor workmanship, secondly for leaving my car in a dangerous state as they removed the rear crash bar without my knowledge or permission. They made this admission on a PM, which I still have. In hindsight I wish I had taken them to court. It was only when I threatened to take them to court that they admitted it was their fault that the bumper flew off! HOWEVER THEY CHARGED £150 STILL TO SORT IT OUT! I was desperate to sort it out as I was going to sell the car then, so I had to succumb to their unfair demand. Even then they were late with the work and I lost my buyer. Why haven’t the members who support KR questioned this, as it was totally unfair and unreasonable? This was their reply in their renewal thread: “I appreciate your comments and I’m sorry if you still feel unhappy with the work. Like our first offer, we will re-do it free of charge until you are happy and that was exactly what we did the 1st time. We only asked if you were willing to contribute towards some costs the 2nd, as having your car in quick meant delaying my pre-booked customers, as you couldn’t wait for the next available slot, where we offered to replace the bumper and re-done it for free. However, I will not go any further with it here as I believe our deal was settled at the time.” Whether they had to delay another customer or not, they f**ked up my car, the car had become not road worthy as there was no rear bumper because they did not fit it properly and it ripped off….any DECENT bodyshop/garage would have given my car number one prority and not tell me to come in 3 months time! And certainly not charge another £150 for their own f*ck up! A decent trader would have compensated for my financial loss in wasted train tickets and I had to pay for a new number plate and light. They re-did my car 3 times, costing me money in wasted journeys to their premises only to find the car isn’t still right. I was so angry that I never returned again and had to sort the car out my self (It still had paint defects). So guys, wake up, KR are just another Turbofit! Nice guys when they want to be but nothing else.
  15. But for example, if the happy customer was to sell their car and the buyer finds a list of paint defects and points it out, the happy customer won't be happy for much longer! We as a Supra community should help each other out hence help to avoid things like the above example. Watch this space, I'll be posting my comments on KR as it's relevant.
  16. Hi Rocketman, Regarding the clutch, it's as what mkirby said! You do get used to it but you may stall it when you first try it out! The car started off with a stock clutch when I first bought it and it was fine. When the clutch wore out I put a CW clutch which I got off CW secondhand, that's basically an uprated clutch based on the stock. I decided to go for the current RPS paddle clutch after a bit of research together with a light weight flywheel. I have been very happy with it. Stock clutch will be fine on it. I have the old stock flywheel. Regarding the mileage, the engine is in very good condition and looked after by Mark @ Phoenix. If you have any concerns, Mark will be happy to speak to you regarding the condition. Any questions, please let me know. Cheers, Ro
  17. You did have the car as an auto on the advert at first! That's why few of us thought it's expensive! lol! There's a few examples from traders with less mileage for cheaper. Just depends on how quick you want to sell it for. You might as well advertise it for a pound less, £8,999 looks better than £9,000. Cheers, Ro
