  1. Seeing as no ones replied yet, I have a Turbo and the fuel filter runs along the chassis near the front passenger door, I think within a foot of it. Jack tha car up and you should see it. Check it before you order a new one as it may not be the standard filter, as is on mines.
  2. About lunchtime, Black Supra flying up Pinner Road, North Harrow. Had Mesh in the rear bumper. About 12:30, Gun Metal grey fully kitted with Mitsi Evo style spoiler. 1 o'clock - Red Supra on the A5 Flamsted, Herts. 15:30 - A lime green kitted up Supra in St Albans town centre. Probably the craziest Supra I've seen on the roads - made me feel small in my Silver supe!
  3. I used Paragon too! I think it was a chap called mark I spoke too..few years ago. The solicitor they appointed was very good. They provided a free courtesy car. As it's a middle man sorting out your claim, your 'No claims bonus' status is not affected as is the case if you go through your insurer directly. The settlement took about a year as opposed to two years with my previous accident.
  4. Timpsons should be able to sort you out. I quite fancy those new 'Flick knife' style keys which open from the fob with the press of a button:-)
  5. Hey, Sorry to hear about your car, hope you've mailed the postmans nads in the postbox? Couple of pointers: "Write off" means beyond economical repair only. Once that has been established it will be categorised by either a "D" = light damage, once repaired can be put back on road, "C" = More serious than "D" and can be put onto road after repair and new MOT. Category B and A mean it's only suitable for scrap/spares. I think it's up to the insurance company if they'll give your car back to you if it's a write off. Go to at least three reputable accident bodyshops to give an opinion and if they contest the insurance company findings, get them to send you a letter though they may charge about a tenner for this. It may be worth going through an accident management company. If they definitely think it's the other parties fault, they deal with most of the headache. I did that and on an old Rover 620, I got £2600 and I thought it was worth a grand less! Good luck
  6. I had mines changed by a local specialist but Toyota would have charged about the same. I would recommend getting the tensioner changed at the same time. Can't remember exactly what I paid, Call Mr T for prices
  7. I've just looked at my AI606 instuctions but nothing specifically relating to your problem. Try giving Phil of "A to B Alarms" a call on 07957 337317 to see if he can help.
  8. If it's very slightly over you should be ok but anything over 100ml = Yes, worry about it. I had a Sierra sapphire once (stop laughing :-)) and put too much oil. The seals around the cam popped, spewing out oil. I think it causes excess pressurisation and I read an article about extra oil splashing about... can't remember the exact reasons that it's bad, anyway start draining some of that oil!
  9. I'm using Ferodo 5.1 grade on mines. I think you need about two litres. They usually come in 1L bottles so buy 3 and then you have some left over for top ups. If you're worried about not buying enough, get some extra from a place like halfords where they'll give your money back if you haven't used it.
  10. Do the Supra wheels only fit Supras (Obviously!) and Lexus's only? Hopefully us Supra owners think twice before buying 'back of a lorry' wheels, therfore without demand, wheel thefts should be low. Got a feeling alot of the Jap performance cars share the same fitment?

Damn you've got some fat rubber! What's your Supe lowered by? Do the tyres touch the arches at all? How's the handling like? Cheers

You just beat me with your posting by a few mins - wasn't there when I hit the reply button ;-)

I have 235/40/18 on front and 265/35/18 on the back. I've seen a few supras with that setup but I'm no expert. I'm sure someone else will have more info...Whilst we at this subject, what's the best tyre pressure for the front and back for this sort of setup? Cheers
  14. If you have a decent alarm system then you can have a tilt sensor fitted to it. Basically the alarm is activated as soon as the theiving rascals start jacking up the car
  15. Not sure if they are same as UK spec. It will also depend on if you have aftermarket alloys. You can take a nut off and compare it if you are buying directly from a retailer. You can get hold of the locking nuts from R-Tec in St Albans, sorry haven't got their number. I got a set of McGard which are top quality and the 'Key' fits inside rather than outside. I think they cost £29.99
  16. Hi, They are standard discs manufactured by EBC with EBC Greenstuff pads. The noise isn't actually there all the time but it does sound like metal to metal grinding also there's no visible score marks. I'll check tonight to for excessive heat coming out. Cheers, Ro
  17. Hi, I have had EBC standard discs on the rear of my Jap TT with Green stuff pads. Everything was fine for about 3 weeks but now I get a grinding noise (passenger side) which is more or less constant even from cold start. Noise increases when I apply the brakes. I took it back to the garage who took the wheel off and confirmed the noise (When driving the car). They couldn't see anything wrong with it and said not to worry about it. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Could it be the wheel bearings or any of the drive train components? The garage said it may be due to the harder pads? Please help. Thanks, Ro

  19. Yep, sorry about the dodgy mobile phone picture! Will get some decent pictures done soon!
  20. It's a silver Jap tt 6-speed. It's got a C-West Spoiler (Big!), Sideskirts, rear spats, front valance (which I've not seen before), tein adjustable shocks, 18" alloys, HKS boost control, timer, Apex-i meter, HKS induction. Not sure what the exhaust is. I've attached a picture. Let me know if you want to meet up? Cheers, Ro
  21. Hi, I've just bought an import 6 speed TT - It's been about 4 years since I first wanted one! I'm looking to meet up with other Supra owners in Beds and Bucks for general chit chat and advice on tuning and a decent garage!. I'm based in Luton Please email me on [email protected] Thanks, Ro
