  1. Thanks for the comments guys, Unfortunately some people will be put off by the mileage (126,000 miles), hence the price. It is an VGC. Better condition than some of the 'Low mileage' supras! Cheers, Ro

  3. ***NOW SOLD*** 1993 TT 6 speed J-spec BPU (RZ) - £8,499 ONO http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=324 Hello everyone. It’s time to sell my car! http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/images/220572-1.jpg It's a very quick BPU car and I’ve had her for nearly three years. It's in very good condition. Sometimes the second turbo comes online from 3500 rpm depending on load - Usually 3700 rpm as opposed to the stock 4000 rpm. It’s been serviced and maintained well mainly by Phoenix in Watford. Under my ownership from nearly three years ago, the following has been done (From the top of my head): Brief description, Full spec below Service items as and when needed. (Recent Oil and Iridium spark plug change) Oil change around every 4K miles Full BPU Inc Electronic Boost Controller and FMIC Most of the cosmetic mods 19” Axis Alloys and Eagle F1 tyres (The rear tyres are brand new) Geometry by http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/ - Handling is good! UK Brakes (New CW Fast road pads all round) Crank Pulley Water Pump V-belt and tensioner Cam belt & tensioner Power steering pump bearing O2 sensor Most Panels re-sprayed so paint work/body is in VGC. (Re-spraying due to body mods and there was minor rust on roof when I first bought the car) Carbon Fibre bonnet and mirrors. Bodykit/Tril rear bumper ICE – Pioneer Head unit has motorised screen, DVD, SAT NAV, additional screen on top Glove box (Custom built), Infinity speakers all round, 10” Rockford Fosgate sub, Alpine amp and 6 disc changer. (ICE cost nearly £2,000) Re-trimmed Black and Grey leather front seats. Recent RPS Flywheel and uprated clutch HID lights Remote Cat I alarm with tilt sensor and perimeter protection New MOT. Car was on "L" reg but the personalised plate "B3 ROH" (Worth £500) is included with the car HPI Clear Mileage is 127,000 miles – Mainly Motorway miles I have service/modification receipts of over £12K. My insurer has recently agreed valuation as £11,750 I’m the second UK owner Tax runs out end of January 2008 I have the Cats, original airbox with new filter, mirrors, OEM Flywheel and rear bumper which is included in the sale. Rear Bumper may have to be collected from Luton. I do not have a rear spoiler. Will be sold with a Valet. Bad bits: Crack under one side skirt but you can't see it unless you look underneath. Bumper and front spoiler are stone chipped. Some paint bubbling around stereo dash. Exhaust tip touches bumper and has caused minor damage just around one side of the exhaust - Can't see it unless you look close. This also causes "Squeeking" when it rubs. Aeriel motor - ariel goes up but doesn't come down. I have pushed down the ariel and disconnected the switch. Note - It does have a paddle clutch so it's not the smoothest clutch engagement! Can't notice from 2nd gear onwards. You get used to it! Price - £8,499 ONO Sorry, no PX. Any questions, please ask or call me on 07903 130399. 4. That's why it's good to have a Boost controller. Drive on low boost normally and high boost on spirited runs rather than having the same power all the time. On my BPU car, higher boost makes the turbos spool faster. With the EBC switched off, the Turbos come on at standard 2 and 4 K revs. With 1.2 bar the second turbo sometimes comes online at 3500 revs but usually 3700.
  5. What about with a bag over her head...and a bag over your head in case her bag falls off??
  6. I used to Live in Luton. As you said, Wardown Park area is nice. Other nice areas are Bramingham, Barton Hills, Some areas within Stopsley, some areas within Wigmore, Limbury, Stockwood Park. There are nice areas in West Dunstable. Bushmead is a mixture. Avoid Marsh Farm and Lewsey Farm. PM me of any areas you are looking into and I'll get some info on it. Ro
  7. So the big single is paying off and the 5" turbo back straight through exhaust!
  8. Yes, that's a problem with them! 9 out of ten are like that! You can use more foam to fill the gap. They come with foam edging anyway (That's why they let water in!)
  9. I live in Farnborough and take my car to Phoenix in Watford.
  10. he he! I was hoping to find an excuse not to do any house work! Thanks! Ro
  11. It's funny how leaks/bits falling off/blowing up are rectified and some members then think TF are gods when it was TF who botched it up in the first place! Lets see how long you stay best buddies!
  12. Nice, certainly seems to handle the power
  13. What's your clutch/flywheel, suspension and tyre setup fella? Cheers, Ro
  14. I used to live only 15 minutes away from TF but I intentionally never used them. This is some of their very shoddy work on member’s cars that I've seen. People make mistakes but these are not mistakes, just very amateurish and potentially dangerous work: *Two different types of oil fittings welded together which subsequently leaked near the turbo..... (Almost went boom but luckily spotted by a TRAINED mechanic). *Larger cams fitted but they didn’t know what the noise was - they hadn't done any shimming. *Chopped off bolt used as a push rod in a clutch cylinder. *Manual conversions not using OEM or correct size bolts. *A bling PS reservoir was fitted to a member’s car and the PS system kept failing. TF tried 3 different PS pumps and then suggested his steering rack was shot. The member was talking to me at the time. I'm a technical numpty but even I know that when you do a PS fluid change and especially when you fit a bling PS reservoir, it's standard practice to make sure the gauze in the PS reservoir is clean and free from crap/metal bits - TF didn't do this!! The TF people are nice guys, that’s why they have a large fan base. I've met them a few times. But come on people...wake up! I remember during a Japshow, The TF car was next to Envy’s Car. Gaz lifted the bonnet and the TF crew’s faces were in shock! Obviously the Envy engine was done PROPERLY! Another popular garage who was rectifying TF's work were forced to make the car owner sign a disclaimer because the TF work was so shoddy! I warned a lot of members who I met including one of our mods.
  15. Is it a bad idea to paint walls in this sort of heat? Obviously I could be out enjoying the sun but say I wanted to do the painting, would this sort of heat possibly dry out the paint too quick and cause micro cracks in it? I know you can add a little water but I don't want to muck about with the paint consistency. I'm just re-decorating my house but behind on schedule! Thanks, Ro
  16. Vision area is smaller but you get used to it. I don't see why you have to have the door re-sprayed as the Ganador mount area is larger than stock - You may find rust when you take off the original mirror so you should treat that. Once treated, the whole of the original mirror mount area will be covered up with the Ganador mirror. ***Make sure you seal the electrical connector, otherwise the terminals may corrode and your mirrors stop working*** I had this problem. I've since cleaned up the terminals and just wounded the electrical connector tightly with electrical tape and it's been fine. You do get water getting in as these mirrors don't have a good seal. Ro
  17. Spoken to Mark at Phoenix about this. He was under the impression that the B&M short shift give problems if installed incorrectly in the first place. I've had my secondhand B & M for three years now. No issues. Ro
  18. There are 4 part numbers for Windscreens I think
  19. Quite simple as above. You may not need deep sockets. The Nuts for the mirrors are within two holes on the door. Becareful as the door cut outs can be sharp when you get your hands in. Be prepared for a little rust around the mirror mount area on the door. You may not have any, if you do then treat with something suitable Ro
  20. I thought due to the Crank pulley sticking out, this causes the V belt to rotate in an angle causing the Squeel? Use a feeler gauge inbetween the inner and outer Crank Pulley. If it's near to 32 mm then it's about to split off! A new one has a gap of only 1.3 mm or less. Ro
  21. Previous shape Honda Prelude Vtec? You can get good handling out of them and decent performance. Robust too.
  22. Just to let you all know, the person who posted this thread - 'm4dsup/Tharek' is a good bloke and I'm sure he'll be more than happy to help with anything. If you can't get hold of him then please pm me and I'll beat him up! Cheers, Ro
  23. Fookin' ell! That's some astonishing terminal times, more than a lot of Singles! Well done! Ro
  24. I think they were swapping their car with the other two cars that the crew and mechanics were using. In some scenes they had a glass hammer mounted on the interior roof and in other scenes it wasn't there!
