  1. I've checked two cars for active spoiler wiring. Neither of them had it. One was a 1997 car, the other was a 1994 car. Both had the wiring under the headlight though.
  2. IIRC Terry tried various different combinations when he first did his single conversion on the purple car. From what I can remember, there were gains to be had by advancing or retarding the cams, (don't ask me which combinations), but it was always a trade off somewhere else in the power bands. I believe he stuck to stock timing positions in the end which offered the best all-round. Best ask Terry for any finer details than that.
  3. We're so sorry to hear this-our thoughts are with his family. Matt and Chantelle
  4. I've got a T67 on my car. Prior to that, I had been running TTC for about a year. I was very suprised how much better the T67 pulled low down compared to TTC. Obviously if you go for an even smaller turbo, the response will be even better. If I were in 6th gear at about 2krpm, then yes, is not what you'd call responsive, but to be fair I wouldn't expect it to. I know you're a fair way from me, but if you're ever over this way, or a meet when I'm around, you're more than welcome to have a drive. - Edited to add, no I don't miss the sequential system at all, and if I were to start from scratch, going single would be a high priority for me.
  5. Have to agree, I love Dr. Who. The only episone I thought was a bit crappy was the one with the guy from Hustle in it. All the others, I thought were great! Looking forward to next weeks finale! - Except, I like Rose...
  6. If you want to get one of those wheels and try it on over my brakes, you're more than welcome.
  7. When you cars finally done, remind me to let you get in front of me on one of the Ashford motorway thrashes!
  8. The difference is Kevin, yours COULD drive there and back and IS a genuine road car too. There's a lot of competing cars that are NOT road cars.
  9. Nope, active spoiler only brings up a warning. No stored fault codes. If you've bridged out the terminals and the ECU light is flashing constantly, it means you have no stored errors.
  10. There's no wiring attachments to make this work. I'm sure it's possible, but only if you know someone familier enough with modifying electronics down to component level.... That counts me out! You can do a similar thing with the Profec though!
  11. Hi Ian, Yep, I can do it no problem. You know where I am
  12. Let me know when you want a ride in a quick one! Sorry Lee, couldn't resist!
  13. Best way to do it is to take a heavy supply from somewhere, (battery), and wire the power supply though a relay using the original fuel pump feed as the relays switch and the heavy supply to feed the pumps. Bear in mind that the use of two pumps is only really necessary on really big power cars. Both Ian C and I are still running single pumps with a T67. There is also an advantage to running one pump. If you're running one pump and it fails, the car stops. If you're running twin pumps and one fails at high boost, you may not notice until it's too late, and you could lose the engine! Just MHO
  14. I run an earth from the post I've fitted, tape it up with the exixting loom, and earth is to the chassis somewhere.
  15. That's what I do. Sorry, wasn't trying to be secretive
  16. I'm certainly no expert on fuel flow, but that looks like a really strange way to do it. Is there a technical reason why?
  17. He already has http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=894661&postcount=59 Rob, sorry to say, but I agree with Chris. Fairly easy to remedy though
  18. IMHO low milage is only important on newer cars. On cars of this age, (Average Supra is now probably about 10 years old), most parts that would suffer from high milage would probably have deterorated due to age. Rubber bushes as seals are just as likely to need changing where they've gone hard or cracked up. Obviously wear on the mechanical side of things is a different ball game, but Supra's don't really suffer in this area either. Unless they've been badly abused or neglected. Both of which you can normally tell when you view/test drive a car.
  19. Almost certainly the bonnet switch then.
  20. How old are the spark plugs? - Also worth getting your timing checked?
  21. Oops! - Sorry, you hadn't posted when I typed that. I was talking about the LED connected to the power lines. A flow display is what you want.
  22. That will only tell you that the pump has power to it... Not that it is working!
