  1. It does fit. I had a HKS R type on my old auto. No need to do anything different to fit it either.
  2. IMO they're not really suited to a stock based setup at all. Aside from being better suited to larger turbos, they're really designed for top end power. You'd still be making good usable power way up the rev range, but you're stock rev limiter would kick in and prevent most of the gains they can provide.
  3. Dude used tp have a tow hitch and electricsunder his number plate. When he wasn't using the trailer, he'd just unbolt the hook put a 'normal' square plate on and you'd never know it was there. http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=8946&d=1090606103
  4. Things I've seen that I'd class a common faults:- Bad solder joints on the right of the dash top, (abs, mil, oil) Crank pulley Boot rubbers Window mechanism Late second turbo issues Slight misfire at idle Front crank oil seal Things that are age related faults:- Coil pack clips Solid/split cam cover hoses, (under cam cover) Yellow'd, and/or leaking headlights Rust at the door bottoms due to poorly fitted skirts Valve stem oil seals Blocked/leaking heater matrix Rear drop links causing suspension knocks (generally at low speed) That's all I can think of at the moment. I have to say, I've never heard of a fuel filler cap breaking off:blink: IMO aerial problams are mostly down to bent/damaged masts.
  5. I use low, (1.1bar), for most daily driving. Mainly because I struggle for traction when it's set to high! (1.5)
  6. Not personal at all. £120+vat fully fitted and set up.
  7. Yep, I've heard that too. From what I've been told, all chassis numbers with JZA80 need the cat test. (and no, E-JZA80, makes no difference).
  8. I believe you can write to DVLA. Or at least, you could do some years ago.
  9. Ahhh, thanks guys, you're making me blush!
  10. Firstly, don't blame the alarm. It's very unlikely it has anything to do with it as all the alarm does is pulses the factory system to make it operate. Have you checked the fuses? - In both fuseboxes? - This is the first step. The main central locking relay is located behind and to the left of the glovebox. Sit in the car with the doors shut and see if you can hear a faint click from the passenger side when operating the lock/unlock switch on the drivers door.
  11. Last ones... 1. A model posing on a BMW 2. Opel Manta's 3. Transit weighed down with bull! 4. This is the engine in the Transit, that the owner claimed was 442 bhp, could do 0-60 is 5.6 seconds and go on to a top speed of 144 mph The engine is from an old 3.0 litre Capri, that would produce 138bhp in stock form... (But he has got a K&N filter on the carb!)
  12. Some of the better ones... 1. My favourite car 2. RS200 running the 1/8th 3. RS2000 mk1 Escort. You don't see many of these anymore 4. The Chopper 5. View from above. Notice Rob's already left! - Lightweight!
  13. First, the 'oh dear' shots... /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_shock.gif 1. Nice wheels, shame about the car 2. Nice car, shame about the wheels 3. Poor, poor Supra. (mk3) 4. You can't make this out too well, but believe it or not, this guy is actually filing down the magnet on a subwoofer to try to make it fit!
  14. Yeah, you unsociable bunch of buggers! - Mind you, you wouldn't have found me 'cause I was up in the helicopter! It was a great day though. Lots of good cars, but equally as many shite ones.. (pics to follow later!). Many thanks to Rob for the excellent food as always
  15. I don't think it was broken. It did it's run, then drove back down to the start of the strip and parked up. We were hoping it would run again, but sadly it didn't. No idea what the timing was, but it looked much quicker than all the others there today. The Hyabusa, the Manta's and the bike and sidecar were a letdown though.
  16. I was right at the top of the strip... Right where the car decided to swerve towards the barrier. It was a worrying fraction of a second!
  17. LOL, you're right Eagle eyes! I'd guess the wheels were removed for painting and they've mixed up the left/right wheels.
  18. Personally, for me, going single was one of the best modifications on my car. It's all down to personal preference, and what you want out of the car.
  19. Totally agree. RWHP is the actual measured figure. Any attempt to guestimate a flywheel figure is fairly pointless as it can only ever be a total guess at the best times. Unless you want to remove the engine.
  20. Migs wheelchair, (with him in it), has been clocked at 30mph! - Whilst being towed by a Supra
  21. Actually, you only plumb it into the one front brake line. And I really can't see why it would have any effect on the ABS system. All it does, is prevent the front brake fluid releasing when the pedal is released. It's not as if the brakes are actually on once you start a burnout... Fine on my car anyway.
