Oh good grief, everyone knows that you need a remap following those mechanical changes
-
Really pleased you're happy Rush, sounds like it's been a long road for you ! Absolutely mate, the f-con completely controls fuel and ignition but leaves the stock ecu to manage the auto box, so you get an oem drive with the gearbox but a complete remap with custom fuel and ignition

for sale Front end damaged 560bhp VVTI Supra
Muffleman replied to MarkR's topic in Supra Classifieds
Didn't see it as a pop at all mate I can really see Mark's problem, I too would be absolutely gutted I've also had to take a view on road mapping, it's only ever to check what's been done on the dyno but it's very risky. I'm glad our dyno goes upto 200mph though, means most of it can be done in relative safety -

It really is a difficult situation and one that wont end in the right moral answer. It's one reason I hate driving customers cars, but that's my choice Totally understand where you are coming from Dean mate, it would be soul destroying. Sadly Insurance companies are insurance companies, whether it was a trade or personal claim the answer would likely be the same. The insurance company will try and pay out as little as possible. I guess the question here is whether the garage concerned are prepared to pay out a sum to negate the difference between monies spent and money back from the insurance company. Not an easy one though:( TBH I've not read the thread in it's entirety, but would there legally be recourse for a private claim on the driver ??? How you smash up a car on the way to the MOT station is beyond me. If the car was being driven without care, it's not the fault of the business, as a legal entity, but the driver. Have to say I'm not a legal bod but if the crash was due to lack of care then there should be some recourse. -
It is a very good traction control system, but totally agree with Alex - just dont rely on it.

Pretty impressed with my KEF KHT 2005.3 speakers, plus you can buy extra speakers for putting in other rooms. Grab a decent AV amp too and you can run sounds to other rooms I wanted bigger speakers but 'er indoors grumbled, so the Kefs are a good compromise. Excellent reviews in the likes of What hiFi and they come in black or silver

Now there's an example of oxymoron

Right, the error is : Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM. If I boot in safe mode, it comes up with the above error straight after this file : multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)windows\system32\config\system.log The bios sees both sata drives, but if I try and reinstall windows to either drive, windows says there aren't any drives attached On the upside, the house is much tidier and I've been eating well, I almost don't want to let her have facebook back

Chills me out A very well arranged song. Big fan of Live too. nQrN4Ehu0EU

Yeah wondered if it was SATA related but the pc has been running on the SATA disks for years.

Okay will try and get the exact message tonight Bloomin computers, I swear they are all female
-
And it's serious, the missus can't get on Facebook On bootup it's saying there is a missing system32\file, so I popped in the windows disk and hit 'r' to repair it. Problem is it's saying there aren't any hard drives, and the bios recognises them fine and they are whirring away quite happily. Have I got to reformat the hdd ?

Dont worry mate, one on a Starlet and one on a Supra. But we've seen various hardware issues with EMUs, wouldn't recommend one to anyone

Definitely worth putting the other side of the story. Yes the car came in for cam cover gaskets and plugs. When the car arrived it was red hot but we cracked on anyway. Lee sat on our shoulders throughout the whole process, asking many questions about his car and other cars, tuning etc etc. Not really a problem as we're friendly chaps but Lee can therefore vouch for exactly how long it all took and the issues we had with the studs etc. He can also confirm that we charged for less time than was taken. The car was roadtested and all was fine. When Lee called to say the engine light had come up, we said to come back and we'll take a look. We then run diagnostics and spent some time on the car, free of charge. The code, from memory, was 42 I think. An error code completely unrelated to replacing cam cover gaskets ! So the light would have come up had it been here for cam cover gaskets or not. Our beloved Supras are getting older, and things do go wrong on them. John\Dude and I spent some more time on the car but couldn't spend anymore given we have a workshop full of cars, but we didn't charge for this. We tried to explain it is coincidental and nothing to do with cam cover gaskets. John actually started to get a little frustrated at this point. We have very very few unhappy customers, even so I am saddened that Lee is unhappy, but we will never please everybody. Hope that clears things up a little, Lee is welcome to call me to discuss the situation or pop back and let us have a look but I have 11 Supras in the workshop at the mo and really must crack on
