  1. Mapped god knows how many of them ! They are cracking little motors though, rev well and go quickly
  2. I hadn't seen the vide clip as I was in the car, does look very cool Have to say the Syvecs gets a big thumbs up from AFR And that turbo is hilarious
  3. Just got an update from dude, firstly he has met yoda ! Apparently must have been 190days if a day. Then, took a meal to a house and was greeted by 'ooh thank you dear, that's lovely', the meal was swiped and door closed. John then found out it was the wrong house, so yep he has been mugged by an old lady
  4. Shouldn't be a problem mate, we'll give you a call tomorrow and let you know how we're getting on
  5. And I bet the lads are still in t-shirts and the lasses in mini skirts
  6. Hi guys, Just to let you all know, we've had to close the doors today due to the weather. Can't get any cars out of the workshop, and the workshop is full ! None of us fancy getting 20 sports cars out in this weather Dude and the bear made it in, but they are now stretching the Range Rovers legs by helping out the meals on wheels service in Horsham Hoping to be in tomorrow but will let you all know. Cheers Matt
  7. Yeah gave a few suggestions but really don't get spend a lot of time on an open day. Seems lean outside of O2 feedback so maybe fpr, gave Wiggy another MAP sensor FOC to try etc but really didn't have much time.
  8. We found a couple of bits but do those checks I told you to do mate then pop back when you get a chance, dyno days are very quickfire so we couldn't spend long on it as I was doing power runs til 5pm ! But we'll sort it out mate
  9. Thanks for coming guys, was a bit short notice but we had a good and varied turn out as ever We'll do another in the spring and give more notice next time Can't believe I got press ganged into running the trike, never seen so many bloody camera phones pointed at me The VXR was nice, looking forward to mapping that one in a few weeks. Customer with an R35 came up in the morning but went on to the Ace Cafe R35 meet, but he's coming back for more work. They really are big cars !!! Really pleased with the new premises too, SO much better. And really getting used to the DD dyno now too
  10. Amen to that, but then again mate there's 4 fulltime staff here matey and the amount of cars we deal with is probably more than most realise. We've got 20 or so in the workshop at the mo Yet despite this, we're far from millionaires !!! Aint that the truth Hodge if you want to chat with someone that's been there done that, just give me a call Dude. Plus John and I are happy to help in any way we can
  11. Let's knock this on the head, I'm tired and want to sit down and down a couple of beers and watch some telly. Stonkin asked me to look at the map as it was rich on part throttle low load, had a look and saw how it was mapped so informed Stonkin that I would only do a complete remap if he wanted the part throttle etc improved. He said no that's fine so NOTHING was changed full stop, end of subject. I've never slagged Ryan off and always had a good relationship with him so I'm not sure what's going on here. I've never seen the point in animosity, we both have good reputations mapping and that's it. We've both helped each other out in the past and would like to hope this can continue, but I changed NOTHING.
  12. Just measure up and call local factors, so if its 1300mm see who has got a 7PK1300. You are bound to get a factor locally that can get close to what you need.
  13. Very little music of mine is to everyones taste This track always gets me moving, all the way up to 70 sometimes tnFKaU8H4v8
  14. Would expect to see nearer 600-700 on a healthy engine mate, have a look for split hoses off the inlet manifold, especially the one running to the fuel regulator. They're always worth renewing anyway
  15. I presume you have a boost gauge, what vacuum do you have at idle ?
  16. Will find out mate, you old nerd you I know what you mean though, there are some outputs that aren't exactly user friendly ! Exactly, all chassis dyno figures are to be taken with more than a pinch of salt. Engine dyno is the only way but it makes for expensive power runs
  17. Will definitely do that mate, got a lot of interest for the open day - they're always good fun Got a customer with an R35GTR coming and has promised to put it on the dyno, he's hoping to bring some mates with R35s. Plenty of other stuff too already !
  18. It's being run in Think I'll be taking it over to the new dyno for mapping 2mins from the station mate, few doors down from ATS We'll be seeing you soon I hope
  19. Yeah this is SPCs old unit, they did indeed go properly bust ! Unit's been empty for a few months, it's all being decorated, latex floored, refurbished. It is the same DD dyno too just been fully updated, serviced and calibrated
  20. Yep, I'm very curious to see this too mate
  21. Nah still Matt here, notice the punctuation in my replies
  22. Thanks for all the well wishes Cheers Miglet, no austec are staying where they are, we only ever rented space and facilities from them. No bad feelings just time for us to move on
  23. Thanks guys, it really has been tough but I'm starting to feel the love for it all again I think I'm missing something matey, is this magazine related ? Drop me a PM mate
  24. Hey guys, Bit of an update I've been working on and now it's all sealed and sorted As of 1st September, we will be trading out of a new workshop in Horsham. Much nicer looking, good space, nice reception area and oh yeah, most recent Dyno Dynamics 2WD\4WD dyno and a Superflow 902 engine dyno So our figures will compare directly to SRR as it's essentially the same, just the later version. We would also like to welcome Simon, Abbey Motorsport technician of some 8 years and has built and looked after some serious cars !!! So expect to see more skylines and 350zs Anyone close to me will know how hard it has been to get AFR to where it is and how much it has cost me financially and personally, but I'm feeling good about this move Doors will be open from 1st September and a big open day on the 11th, Banzai will be there too. So more info to come, but Dude and I are looking forward to it massively !!! Dude will be managing the workshop until we move and I will be managing the move itself. The plan is for it to be seamless without any downtime. See you all on the 11th
