  1. To far for me or would have been interested
  2. Went to Thruxton Motor Circuit for one of these yesterday with my Brother and have to say it was thoroughly enjoyable for £90. Did some slalom stuff in some Astra's around cones against the clock (I struggled with getting reverse which blew my time), but it was fun riding the clutch in first for 30 secs Also got a ride in Paul Swift on 2 wheels. It felt as though the car was vertical coming off the ramp We then got 2 laps driving each of the VXR cars (Corsa, Meriva, Astra, Safira, Vectra & VXR8) and a fast passenger lap with Paul O'Neill driving - drifing an Astra at 120 anyone All the VXR cars were actually surprisingly good, especially the Astra which seemed to have good power all throughout the rev range and a decent chassis. The Vectra (which I actally drive twice in place of the Safira) was pretty good, but ran out of steam up the main straight and the VXR8 was awesome instant power, although you feel the weight through the chicanes. The instructors were generally quite happy for you to push the cars faster and harder, although did prompt upchanging a tad early and were too picky about being 'in-charge' when it came to overtaking or being overtaken. Shame you only just got the hang of the car on the second lap and then had to swap to another, but in all good a use of a morning Also got free breakfast and lunch (bvery nice too:) ) and tee/coffee, soft drinks, ice cream, chocolates. Can't imagine they make any money out of it at that price Some pics:
  3. Had exactly this on the MR2 when the AC unit outer pulley bearing (or something) failed and it was being forced to turn against it's will by the aux belt.
  4. Nice to see another Lancia on the site Amazing how similar the front is to the Delta Integrale. Nice condition for the year, would have thought £10K to an enthusuiast was reasonable. TBH, I'm thinking about keeping my Integrale and getting all the work done it needs (£5k ish) and keeping it for many more years, as they're becoming more rare and I love owning and driving it.
  5. Nice one mate. Will give this ago and hope it may fix my lack of chips too Still not sure why the remote central locking doesn't unlock the doors though (but locking works fine:shrug:)
  6. Just looking at info on the new GTR and ended up on GTR.co.uk and found this NA Supra quoted at 267bhp http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/96614-toyota-supra.html Can't see any reason why this would be putting put that level of power...
  7. I'd have thought you were looking at newarer £10K for a good reliable NA-T set-up once you've factored all the elkectronics, mapping etc - same as for TT's being upgraded to Singles. There may be other stuff aswell, eg brakes, gearbox, diff etc
  8. Welcome mate Your first post too - introduce yourself and your car in the new members section
  9. Good piont about the hub - you will probably need a new one of those too. Approx £70 IIRC
  10. jaymdee paid up, PM sent and RSVP'd on the calendar
  11. Steve Manley, Inchcape Toyota near Oxford. Number and address on this site They're not cheap!!
  12. Steve, Definately up for this, possibly both cars (Supra & MR2). Can't pay until weekend as off site and can't do banking stuff where I am. Please reserve me at least the Supra place cheers
  13. Blimey, that must be a very gentle slope then
  14. I've got to be honest and say I could never do that to a car, unless it was a wreck in the first place. it's so sad looking being all stripped out on the drive like that. Hope it all comes together though and you enjoy it when it's finished
  15. As Jake says, bigger brakes and wheels and VVTi are also on non facelift, so I'm afraid you're incorrect there. from what I've seen, Facelifts have front and rear indicators integrated into the bumpers, have different head lights and some also have little lights in the rear spats and reflectors inside the doors
  16. Watched Dexter on FX ages ago, waiting for Season 2, which I think is going there first Never got into BSG, although I do like Sci-Fi
  17. Yes - I'm sure I can make this one!!
  18. What's BSG? Heroes is OK, although I found the first half of Season 1 a bit boring. I prefer The Wire and Dexter to be honest
  19. Cheers Guys - really want to just keep it and spend the money to get all the bodywork nice and a full respray, but don't have either the money of the space
  20. What boost you running? Decat and exhaust should allow you up to 1.2 Bar boost which is approx 380-400 bhp. After that it's new turbos and a big bill!!
