  2. You're probably right. I bought them without seeing them - just a picture of the car they were on.
  3. Christ almighty. They're friggin' oem sideskirts. We all know what they look like. Would I get even more of I put them in a presentation box?
  4. that's fuckin' cheap! Make me an offer then
  5. Y'can buy 'em off me if you want mate
  6. It was a bumper off job for me if I recall correctly. JohnA said he managed his from inside the front wheel arch.
  7. it's only 'cause women are thick, don't take it personally
  8. I always use my ashtray. I make a point of ensuring my passengers use the ashtray too. Flicking ash out of the window always makes it stick to your paintwork.
  9. It seems to be coming from one of the balljoints. If I'm lucky it will be the tie-rod end. I suspect however, that it's the Lower-Control-Arm balljoint, since the rubber boot has a cut in it and has probably lost all its grease. Does anybody know if they can be regreased?
  10. Please listen to the linked file. This was recorded with my phone inside the drivers-front wheel arch - where the noise is eminating from, when steering to the right. It happens with the engine on or off (PAS therefore off). I am thinking perhaps the bushes on one of the A-arms. I hope not, I just sold my set of suspension arms before they even arrived. Anyway, have a listen and let me know what you think. Best to have the volume up loud. http://www.css-networks.com/steering.wav
  11. Castron Dextron-III was bought from Halfords. £6.99/litre. Dunno. I heard it was 4L, so that's what I flushed with. 4 litres went in but I didn't measure how much came out - it was a flush, not a top-up.
  12. ok flushed with 4L of Castrol Dextron-III and it's still squeaking. I tried turning the wheel with the engine off (PAS off) and it does it then also. Have just had car in the air and turned wheels and what not and now it seems to be okay. For now. I'm fairly sure it'll start doing it again shortly.. Any thoughts? thanks
  13. Thanks for the replies guys. Just picked up 4L of Dextron-III ATF/PAS Fluid. Gonna have a bash now. yeah here except I haven't got any hoses at the mo.
  14. yeah I'd say check the ATF levels, but it does sound like you screwed up something relating to the speed-signal, which of course the ECU uses to control the autobox
  15. What was the outcome here? Mine sounds like I'm turning on glass or something.
  16. awww so cute! Has she got fingernails? Do babies have fingernails?
  17. Check to see if the boot-lock has gone in. Look underneath and inside to check the boot floor. Check the rear hatch is in-line with the rear quarters by the lights. Checking underneath will probably mean you need to remove some of the fixing-studs (plastic screw-like things), and pull the bumper back (it's flexible). There's a crossmember/impact bar in there if I remember correctly.
  18. Sometimes things are just not worth getting worked up over
  19. I would expect it works in the reverse of that. For example, if they haven't earned their financial targets for that month, then they won't pass you so that you come back for more. Sometimes they might be pally with your instructor too
