That message is saying you don't have any USB2 controllers on your machine. The SiS 7001 is USB1.1 I'm afraid. USB2.0 controllers are generally identified as "Enhanced" in device manager. You should be able to pick up a PCI USB2.0 controller for under a tenner though.

you can get some ODB-II -> USB cables for not much money, and then some great dashboard-like software for free, but the problem is that 90% of our cars are not ODB-II, they are proprietary

thanks guys! After coming over here, he went and spoke to a chap round the corner from his house, who said basically the same - ignition barrel and ECU need to both be replaced as a matched pair. Time to start searching breakers.. Are there bike-specific breakers or just any-old breaker? I'll head over to uk.rec.motorcycles next, cheers.

My friend has bought an ex-stolen-recovered Honda CBR600F bike, and it doesn't work. There is no ignition barrel, (four cut wires instead), and it has no spark or ignition. He is pretty good with mechanical stuff and thinks there's a problem with the ECU (pictured). I suspect it has an in-built immobiliser or something. He has found out that he can get a replacement ECU for £450 from Honda. Does anybody know anything about these bikes, or can anybody suggest a good forum to discuss further? Can the ECU's be recoded or anything? Does the ignition barrel do something a bit more tricky than simply act as a switch? Please excuse the shite pictures. Camera phones really are useless. no the PTR is just for that IP...

AOL maintains a database of 'end user' IPs, and they blacklist these so you will still be stuck. You should email [email protected] (i think) to be added to their whitelist, or configure your smtp server to forward onto your ISPs relay.
