  1. I didn't always get the hazard triangle on mine when fuel cut kicked in. You said you tried moving Fuel-cut selector down to 1.. I think you should be lookng to move it the other way, but I really really can't remember now. It's all on the Thor site in the install guide.
  2. as far as I remember, there aren't supposed to be any lights at all when idling.
  3. any lights flasing on the unit? (pop the cover open)
  4. well, not enough anyway. Since swapping the RSR for a Greddy Power-Extreme-II, I can't get above 14psi. My car is a UK spec auto, with no cats, a 3" downpipe and a ball-and-spring type manual boost controller. I was easily hitting 18 and sometimes nearly 19psi with the RSR. I have adjusted the boost controller just now, and it's made no difference. All the way up to 140mph it won't go above 14psi. So, is this as much as my turbos can make of the exhaust energy at their disposal? i.e. is this not a wastegate issue, therefore boost controllers will be of no use? Is a less restrictive exhaust the only way for more power? Or is my boost controller hooked up wrong? There is still a little bit more to go on the screw-in of the boost controller, so I could try for more... I'd appreciate your thoughts guys
  5. Plus the problem is not wgatray.exe being recreated, it's that it's being respawned thereby not allowing it to be deleted. It's just as easy to delete as it is to overwrite it..
  6. I think it would still overwrite them, regardless of any access permissions also set. It seems from what I can see that the winlogon/notify dll monitors and fires up wgatray.exe, but doesn't monitor it's own regsitry key. So if you are quick to delete wgatray.exe after terminating it, then everything looks good, and removing the winlogon\notify key prevents the dll from running on restart, by which time you are able to delete the dll. As a matter of course I have also been disabling the welcome screen on affected machines, but I doubt this would have any effect, so I'm hoping the script will suffice. I forgot to mention that the script also disables automatic updates for you. I should do this properly a-la group policy though so that it can't be re-enabled by user, but for now it simply sets the option for you.

  8. Could anybody who has the annoying WGA Notify 'you may be a victim of software conterfeiting' XP bug please download and try this simple script I've put together which I'm hoping will automate the removal process. Download the file, run it and then reboot. Here it is http://www2.css-networks.com/wgakill.cmd Let me know the results.
  9. If you're in a hurry to get rid of it I'll pick it up and keep it in my back garden for Pig. Unless you're miles away from either Manchester or Blackpool that is.
  10. I really wanna come, but I've just had someone come pick up a laptop, now I have to go to the courier in Trafford Park, then I have to build a shitty 'enthusiast' PC at someones house. Why can't I get my arse moving in the day.. could have had all this done. Anybody staying there late tonight?
  11. Mine's a leaky condensor & receiver/dryer. £270 for the full set from Toyota
  12. and if he didn't take commision on sales made through the link he provided. I call BS. Big BS on this one. Pure pre-meditated bullshit. 24% better mileage? Sure..
  13. I'm interested in the increased upstream bandwidth. Do they still have restrictions against running services on known ports such as 21, 25 and 80? I run an SMTP service for incoming mail, VPN and http on 80, but I'm currently with Demon ADSL. I'd need a static IP too.
  14. the land of cheap drugs!! have a nice time
  15. These cars do look good in Silver. If it really is in great shape like you say then offer him £5.5k and it wouldn't be a bad deal.

Sure Honestly, this girlfriend of mine does things that one would hardly even expect from their worst enemy. Schoolkids have commited suicide over less embarassing things.

    tom tom 500..

I have the 500. Benefits over the others is the ASN (assisted sat. navigation) which means accelerometers and gyroscopes to guestimate your movement when the signal goes (e.g. in tunnels). Also the processor is 400MHz in the 500 and 700, rather than 200MHz in those below. It of course has Bluetooth, which it can use as a mobile hands-free (lower models can't do this). The bluetooth with a 3G mobile (gprs would still work but slower) is great for traffic jam updates. SD-card slot makes upgrades / additions nice and easy. I wouldn't want a 700 because they use a hard disk instead of the SD card. I'm thinking of selling my 500 at some point so I can replace it with the new generation of wide-screen units.
