    Hose size

I have the whifbitz set, very flexible and come with the clips aswell. I think I got them on offer, normal price is abit much for what they are I must admit.
  2. I just used normal silicone hoses same as my intercooler pipes. I don’t understand why they would need to be oil resistant, I would of thought it would if out of them, be the joiner on the OEM intercooler link pipes that could have a mist of oil in them.
  3. The discs are handed mate because of the air flow veins. “R” is offside and “L” is near side, so it looks like they are on the incorrect way round or you may have 2 offside discs fitted.
  4. I’m going to say no, but it hasn’t done it since. I haven’t done much motorway driving in it recently which was the only time it happened between 60-70MPH on kickdown. I have my AEM AFR & Boost gauge now which logs constantly, so if it does happen again may be able to take some information from that.
  5. You will use the 1st diagram as that is for the newer 3 port valve, but I posted up the one with the writing aswell to translate the Japanese wiring so gives you more of an idea on what’s what. You don’t control the turbos separately, plumbing in the EVC as shown in the 1st diagram this allows turbo no.1 to boost around just under 1bar which then makes the transition between turbo no.1 and no.2 a lot smoother. Honestly when you get the car back you will see it’s simple to set up, just make sure the plumbing is done correctly.
  6. If you want the boost controller set-up the best way it can be you should read through the 2nd link Scooter posted up (my thread) and send the guy who is installing the boost controller those HKS diagrams I posted. Those are specifically designed for the Supra, and work a treat. There is a lot of different things you can set up on the EVC, you need to take your time with it but it is quite simple to use when you start getting into it.
  7. That’s off of our black 93 Uk Auto car, came with 2 of them. The Toyota McCarthy badge is still going strong which was the Toyota dealership we got it from many many years ago. The alarm had a funny 10 minutes the other day just randomly going off and couldn’t shut it off, bloody nightmare they are!
  8. Here’s a couple of old pics of the calipers using that foliatec caliper paint, which I must admit I wasn’t that impressed with. See the rear caliper decals do fill up the whole face of the caliper so not sure about sizing on the Jspec rears.
  9. I never lacquered over mine and been fine mate. I’m not sure as mine are UK all round, I thought they did an option for what size caliper you have? I could be wrong tho.
  10. Yes mate that’s the ones, since I’ve done my full rebuild on mine probably over a year ago now those decals are still on and not flaked off.
  11. You can get them new from TCB, IIRC about £28 plus vat each.
  12. Great work Tim, always enjoy seeing your fabrication work
  13. Just had a go on mine with a magic eraser sponge and diluted APC, got the shine off back to how it was new. Thanks guys for the tips on the best way to clean it.
  14. Thanks chaps, I’ll give it a go over the weekend
  15. Exactly how I got mine retrimmed a couple of years ago, looks great when freshly done. Mines starting to get a shine on it now unfortunately, prefer the matt finish.
  16. 2.5” hot side, 3” cold.
  17. Check your EGCV actuator rod is not stuck if your sure your VSV’s are all ok.
  18. I run the HKS EVC 6-IR, personally I think it’s a great boost controller and far superior to the Blitz Boost controller Spec R and ID meter I previously was using. Have a read of this thread, more Page 2. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?338583-EVC-6-IR-2-4-Installation/page2
  19. Was nice to read through that, some great work been done to the car. Good to see it’s been sorted and still on the road for you to enjoy, fair play mate
  20. No it won’t make any difference, I ran mine without taking the HKS fuel cut defender out at first. Do you have an AFR gauge? The mines runs rich on cold start, richer then the stock ECU. Usually sits around 11.8 IIRC. I did have a problem with the car running really rich and missing when you lifted the revs up to around 2k, I had fitted the Idle air ref and MAP sensor hoses on the wrong way round when putting all my inlet back on. If you have done work on your car I’d look at hoses and checking your coolant temp sensors are plugged in.
  21. The black box with a blue connector? If so I could not find any reset button on the unit as I wanted to do the same thing.
  22. I’ll take the orange indicators please, PM me your PayPal details mate.
